We live in a coyote and owl invested area so when our cat got out recently we thought she was a goner. After scouring the neighborhood with no sign of her we were convinced she had been eaten. It suddenly occurred to me to set up some speakers just inside the door and to play a cat video. I found this one, set up the speakers, hit play and - I am not exaggerating at all - within 15 seconds our cat came running in the door. I was so inspired that I’m leaving a comment on a you tube video for the first time in my life. Thanks for posting this. It saved one cat and two little girls’ hearts.

I waited around for hours to try and pinpoint where the cats were trapped, but the meows were getting weaker and less frequent as the day went on. Eventually it occurred to me to try playing this video in hopes that they would respond, and it worked! The cats started consistently meowing back and I was able to free a cat and a month-old kitten from under the hoods of two separate cars, one of which is now my cat. I’ll always be grateful to this video for helping me save two cats that day.
You can tell that this is fake cause the top comment also uses “occured to me”, meaning the people who made these two comments were probably like: “let’s make up some touching story so that this video gets views”. Also the story telling is very similar in structure. AT LEAST one of these comments is false

This always works!! I will use it when I haven’t seen her for a few hours and I want to make sure she’s okay and no one accidentally let her outside without me having to search the whole house. It does seem like it makes your kitty concerned, perhaps it’s a mamma cat noise that triggers them? But I use it to locate her. She has also darted into my apartment lobby to hide under the bicycles to “play” and if I use this, she comes right back inside! Super useful!
