  • Pitmedden user-worked level crossing with miniature warning lights on the Aberdeen to Inverness lines, between Dyce and Inverurie.
This crossing has manually pumped barriers and is leads to one house and a farm track.
This crossing will be changed in 2019 when the railway line between Dyce and Inverurie is upgraded to double track.

Great video! Interesting miniature warning light, seems to use different LEDs compared to most and it seems to be a bit dimmer as well.

It's still got old halogen lamps.

Glen's Transport Ah, the lamps just seemed to snap on and off (like an LED), rather than fading in and out, which is why I thought it was LED at first.

What’s this crossing getting upgraded too?

It might just stay as user-worked, but with new equipment and push-button barriers.
I was talking the the owner of the house (who appears in one of the clips), he said he'd had several conversations with Network Rail but didn't have a definite answer.

@@GlensTransport And now we both know it's closed now from yesterday. So no longer a user worked crossing.
