Some of the videos will be from other years to create a bit of variety, but they are all videos I have published this year on the channel. I've got some exciting plans in 2024 so stay tuned!
I will be a little busy to make the premiere unfortunately, but will be sure to watch the video and comment as soon as I'm able to! Looking forward ot it. Been really liking the videos this year as usual 👍👍
As a former American, it amazes me how UK level crossings are a tad bit quieter compared to our loud crossings and train horns. It also amazes me how much different UK crossings look, sound, and function (manual crossings). It’s also very interesting how horns are not required on approach
My three (nearly four) year old and I still love watching these. I had fun researching the whacky MPV DR98915 on ch.17 Banks. I’d not come across one of those before. Well done on another fab compilation.
Brilliant Compilation! Lots of really nice Crossings! 👍🏻👍🏻 Looking forward to 2024! You should change the title to this video, ‘UK and Ireland Level Crossings 2023’ since there are some Ireland crossings in this video.
Whenever you see the amber light and hear the warning ⚠️ alarm followed by flashing red lights the barriers are about to come down vehicles and pedestrians must stop.
At the second crossing. Are those Siemens gate mechanisms like in the US? Those are probably rare out there in the UK, but they replace literally everything here in the US
Yes they are. Siemens gate mechanisms and Safetran bases, with barrier arms designed specifically for UK crossings. There's a few of these barriers around the country, although groups of them are found in Lincolnshire and Shropshire.
I'm just saying, around the Cressing area, I went to Cousins No2 Level Crossing, it has MWL's and they both seem to not be working when I visited in October. I haven't been since but they'd be cool to catch while they aren't working, I guess Also, Middle right on the thumbnail looks to be Steventon Causeway
I visited Cousins No2 back in August although haven't published the video yet. I spoke to the signaller about the lights. Turns out the crossing is private and has been put out of use by request of the farmer (he isn't using the crossing anymore), so it isn't broken but has been deliberately turned off and abandoned.
Thank you to those that joined me watching the Premiere! I would like to wish all my viewers a Happy New Year and all the best for 2024!
Your welcome :)
Puxton and worle is having SPX barriers or another type of barrier same for huish level crossing
It’s done by February or march
Happy new year!
Happy new year

Thx!
Very nice I just watched it!
Thanks! I hope you enjoyed it :)
You too😊
Looking forward to this!
Cool, I'm looking forward to it too.
Great compilation!
Thanks!
As an American, I find this an oddly quiet process compared to our gates and horn procedures
Yeah, for the majority of crossings, no horn is required on approach.

Thank you! The crossings I featured out of England were in Northern Ireland, which is a part of the UK :)
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel Ah right ok, Fair Enough! 👍🏻
Happy new year from me. Looking forward to next year's content.
Happy New Year. I hope you enjoy what I've got planned :)
I like it that there’s a mixture of freight trains and passenger trains
If you want a good area for a mix of freight and passenger spotting, try Barnetby or Wrawby Jn
The st Andrew's level crossing does not have barriers so if you get too eager or carried away and cross you can easily get hit when a train is coming.
you deserve lots more subscribers well done
Thanks :)
I love the trains it so cool😀😀🤩🤩
I love the whole thing about level crossings especially those footpath ones in like nature just beautiful
Yeah, I love how all footpath crossings are different and most are in quite remote, peaceful and pleasing locations.
30:32 abandoned station!
Those are the remaining platforms at Melton Halt station, which closed in 1989.
Yeah remain… u
my favorite train is the BR class 37
Very nice I'll do one on the evening of the 31st
Not a premier but I'll post a comp like this
Nice, I'll look out for it ;)
