I rented out my house and am overlanding right now. I think getting back to basics is a nice reset. I found myself sitting at home stressed about little dumb things and now I have to plan my day and get to see whatever I like. I'm in Colorado right now.

lol when you look that good you dont live on the same planet as everyone else to begin with. Ive known a few that are on her level and trust me they live in a different realm.
What I like about the idea of Van Life is the massive cost saving by not having to pay rent/mortage, the freedom to go anywhere, the simplicity and minimalism and the fact that you can be in a different location/ have a different view every night.
Yeah unless you buy a van with cash.. she pays a monthly payment financing her van kinda like a car payment.. then she has to pay for gas and she is constantly driving around and she mentioned its alot of driving to find a place to park and stay every night.. and gas prices are crazy right now.. also you need to pay for a wireless wifi hotspot as you're in many places where your phone wont work as she said before too starlink runs about $250 a month.. you need to find water to fill up your water tank and then buy drinking water, food and van life ur tempted to constantly eat out as your traveling and want to experience food in new places and get tired of being in ur van and want to get out and do something so on top of food ur tempted by stores to shop at. Also you need diesel or propane for your heater depending on what kind you have. Also money to go to laundry matt several times a month, van maintenance as you are constantly driving ur van you will need to do oil changes, change ur brakes, filters, etc. Alot more often than normal. Travel medical insurance, auto insurance itself, and showers arent free most ppl who van life get a gym membership like to planet fitness so they can use the showers.. you have to pay to stay in campgrounds and car parks nightly also it's not free only the times she on the side of a road parked. So instead of rent you have either a van payment you financed or if you paid cash and own it you still trade rent for gas... also the whole point in van life is for ppl to be free to travel and move around with no baggage holding them back and traveling new places and experiencing new cities and things makes van life hella expensive. If you are living in 1 city in your van and not leaving it then yeah itll be cheap but what's the point of van life then. Van life is expensive ppl dont do it to save money they do it for the experience and freedom.
@@Chillaxing113 oh yeah I totally forgot thats the main issue safety especially for females alone or shit even a male alone can be dangerous.. ppl could attempt to rob you and steal your van and you loose your whole entire life especially if you have a pet in there.. definitely not a lavish lifestyle as it is made out to be. If I ever did it would have to be with a boyfriend deff not alone but then again 2 ppl crowded in a small van look at gabby petito case her and her bf got tired of each other in a cramped van fighting over money and he killed her. I think I'll enjoy watching from my house lol

@@Steves_fish sounds like you didn't look after your van too me, also most of those things you said are quick fixes after having a bit experience. similar experience you need to own a house . house need repairs too and you need to do them, that is unless you make enough money to pay all kinds of trades to do it for you
@@Steves_fish van or house you will have expensive problems. boiler packs in, washing machine breakdown, storm damage, floods, fires, mould etc etc.... life always presents problems no matter how you choose to live so its best you go live the life you want and accept that those problems are part of the package

With her talents already taking her beyond her expectations of herself in what she is doing. The thing that attracts me to van life is having my home with me wherever I go. I’m a total homebody, so I’d love to go out shopping and go right back home. Do errands? Right back home. Long day? Take a nap in between. The convenience would be amazing to me
What a lovely location having the beach all to yourself, I guess that's what's great about van life being able to go to these stunning locations when you want and get away from the awful weather and follow the sun and your dreams. Van life is about realizing one does not need a ton of stuff to live. It is about seeing new things and going new places. It’s about meeting different people and different cultures It’s about being able to change your location and view..almost on a whim. It also allows one to learn about themselves. The doggie looked great after the groomers. Liked your mom’s coat. Nice boots..we call them something different then go go boots Never fear your dreams. Live confidently and peacefully
RV life gives me a house on wheels but I still have a regular home. Probably my favorite thing is how much my dogs love being in the RV and going for many walks. I might go full-time this year.
@Jerry Boden I don't disagree with you about the costs of having a large RV. However, to be gratuitously insulting undermines your points. Also, large RVs are very fun. Everything is a trade-off.
The reason I'm interested in van life is I drove around the USA, Canada and Mexico for 38 years for work and now I just want to go to check out places that I didn't get to explore plus I lost my wife of 26 years so it will get me away from the place we lived in

Main attraction to Van Life for me, definitely opportunity and freedom, along with gaining increased awareness and appreciation. You can have a “Beach Home” for next to nothing (relatively speaking). I genuinely appreciate the process of having to gather water, energy, etc. Makes you appreciate resources a lot more. Cheers

I didn't live in a van for long but I did have a 1971 VW Van I used to camp in. I camped at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey California for motorcycle races. I camped in it when I worked in Madera California. It was a great Van but not too large nor adorned with cooking facilities like your Van. I wish I could have traveled in France in a Van. I hope you know a lot of people must be living vicariously through your videos. I know I am. Brilliant stuff. And I am enjoying these videos so much I am watching some of them over and over.

My fav things about vanlife.... *Having my home with me wherever I go. *Being able to leave and go anywhere I want, whenever I want! *FREEDOM *After over 3 years now i can not even think about living in a home somewhere. It just sounds like jail!! I have never been happier! It's all mine and I can just get up and go. All the money I save not paying someone else goes into more important things like bettering my home. I never have to worry about annoying neighbors and being stuck. Oh there's just so many pros. It's not always glitter and rainbows, nothing is it doesn't exist. But it's very humbling dealing with the not so lovely aspects and it's a great learning experience as well! I love it, I'm also a total hippie chic so this lifestyle is totally me!! ✌🏼💚

We finally get some mountain snow here, but I'm honestly ready to get out fishing, hiking and outdoors, especially after seeing that water and scenery🏖 I travel my state for work, so I'm always trying to find cool places to explore when I can, but 'van-life' would be great to see much more and to go and stay places I've never been. Hey girl! Please b safe out at night alone!!!! Esp w earbuds in, u cannot hear someone coming up behind u! I know so many think the horrific things u hear about wouldn't happen to u but the reality is, it does!! There r SO many creepy, horrible ppl out there! It's best to just always b prepared.... Only have one earbud in, try to not go out alone at night if u don't have to, carry pepper spray or some type of weapon, don't make it obvious where u park or that u r alone etc. I'm only saying it because I care n I know very well how real it is n how fast it can happen!!! Everyone thinks oh I will get away or I won't get attacked but no one that was ever harmed or kill*d just gave in, they fought hard but these monsters have ways! Please b safe girl much love!! I have to say, this is an attractive girl. Best thing about this lifestyle is having everything within arm's reach. Second best is being away from everyone, peace of mind, quiet times. I find myself wandering around my big house trying to find things, wondering if I have dementia because my memory is so bad. So...I'm accumulating everything I will need to build one of these little vans, then vanish down the carefree highway for awhile.

It is really tough to be u, lol! The beach always drew me--when I lived in Napa, often I'd drive to Goat Rock, north of Bodega Bay, where the Russian River meets the ocean, just to listen to the waves and play tag with the foam. When my folks went camping, they'd take our two toy poodles (Gigi's size) for walks along that beach--we camped at Duncan's Mills, not far from Goat Rock, which also had its own private Redwood Forest. You have done an amazing job with your van and producing fun videos that remind me of the days I have spent camping since camping at Wisconsin Dells as a toddler in the early 60's b4 the Beatles were even famous. Camping keeps us young--no matter how old we are, but also life experienced, as you show about yourself in your videos which inspire others to embrace nature and what it offers. Nature and those like you who share it spreads the presence of peace. You do not have to be a professional video producer to show it, but your videos are spontaneous and unrehearsed which makes them true to you and your subscribers see that and get to be part of your adventures.

Main attraction to Van Life for me, definitely opportunity and freedom, along with gaining increased awareness and appreciation. You can have a “Beach Home” for next to nothing (relatively speaking). I genuinely appreciate the process of having to gather water, energy, etc. Makes you appreciate resources a lot more. Cheers
By far the biggest attraction to van life for me is all the beautiful UA-camrs who depict van life.

I didn't live in a van for long but I did have a 1971 VW Van I used to camp in. I camped at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey California for motorcycle races. I camped in it when I worked in Madera California. It was a great Van but not too large nor adorned with cooking facilities like your Van. I wish I could have traveled in France in a Van. I hope you know a lot of people must be living vicariously through your videos. I know I am. Brilliant stuff. And I am enjoying these videos so much I am watching some of them over and over.

*After over 3 years now i can not even think about living in a home somewhere. It just sounds like jail!! I have never been happier! It's all mine and I can just get up and go. All the money I save not paying someone else goes into more important things like bettering my home. I never have to worry about annoying neighbors and being stuck. Oh there's just so many pros. It's not always glitter and rainbows, nothing is it doesn't exist. But it's very humbling dealing with the not so lovely aspects and it's a great learning experience as well! I love it, I'm also a total hippie chic so this lifestyle is totally me!!

Hey girl! Please b safe out at night alone!!!! Esp w earbuds in, u cannot hear someone coming up behind u! I know so many think the horrific things u hear about wouldn't happen to u but the reality is, it does!! There r SO many creepy, horrible ppl out there! It's best to just always b prepared.... Only have one earbud in, try to not go out alone at night if u don't have to, carry pepper spray or some type of weapon, don't make it obvious where u park or that u r alone etc. I'm only saying it because I care n I know very well how real it is n how fast it can happen!!! Everyone thinks oh I will get away or I won't get attacked but no one that was ever harmed or kill*d just gave in, they fought hard but these monsters have ways! Please b safe girl much love!! I have to say, this is an attractive girl. Best thing about this lifestyle is having everything within arm's reach. Second best is being away from everyone, peace of mind, quiet times. I find myself wandering around my big house trying to find things, wondering if I have dementia because my memory is so bad. So...I'm accumulating everything I will need to build one of these little vans, then vanish down the carefree highway for awhile.

for me whats cool is im a game designer, i could sit and design games by the sea, its views combined with work. the freedom to go anywhere.
It is really tough to be u, lol! The beach always drew me--when I lived in Napa, often I'd drive to Goat Rock, north of Bodega Bay, where the Russian River meets the ocean, just to listen to the waves and play tag with the foam.
When my folks went camping, they'd take our two toy poodles (Gigi's size) for walks along that beach--we camped at Duncan's Mills, not far from Goat Rock, which also had its own private Redwood Forest.
You have done an amazing job with your van and producing fun videos that remind me of the days I have spent camping since camping at Wisconsin Dells as a toddler in the early 60's b4 the Beatles were even famous.
Camping keeps us young--no matter how old we are, but also life experienced, as you show about yourself in your videos which inspire others to embrace nature and what it offers.
Nature and those like you who share it spreads the presence of peace. You do not have to be a professional video producer to show it, but your videos are spontaneous and unrehearsed which makes them true to you and your subscribers see that and get to be part of your adventures.
I'm partial to van life because you are free to do what you want, when you want. I can make plans and change them whenever I please. Hugs from Texas!
