I got an Acer Predator Helios 16” with RTX 4080 and 13th gen Intel i9 13900HX, 16GB RAM, and 1TB ssd, all that for $1700 because it was $700 off, and its a BEAST. GTA V on my 8K TV with maximun settings and the resolution set at 8K at 60Hz works smoothly probably at 60fps. I love it
What was the exact model number for this unit? The PH16-71-74UU is the model available here in the states with those specs, but some small details are hard to confim from model to model (mostly the panel they are using)
Yes. I bought this exact laptop today (lucky find on marketplace) and the controls for the RGB are fantastic, not bloated, simple, and straightforward. It was easy to customize the entire keyboard layout, and the back has 3 zones completely controllable. When the backlight goes to sleep it is synced with the back side. Definitely makes me rethink any future laptop purchase, just how easy this laptop has been to customize and set up.

@@DarkwarriorGamingandVideos100% the predator Helios 16 it’s a amazing pc for the price and will be amazing for years to come and the ram is upgradable to 64gb of ram even tho it says it can only go to 32gb of ram it’s a absolutely unit of a laptop
Can anyone give a solution to resolve the heating issue on this laptop while playing games it reaching 95 to 100 degree in Performance and Turbo mode. I'm using this in good air conditioning room and i have a laptop stand that make a gape btw my table and the laptop vent, but still the temperature goes high. I discussed with Acer support and service center but they didn't helped, they only cleaning the laptop vent and they said it will work now try for few days, again if i told the same they will reply like this It will happen playing games the temperature will go high it's common. But i know it never happens when i bought the laptop for a 6 months it works fine the temperature also maintained well like 60 to 75 degree. But after the 6th month i'm facing this heating issue it goes 100 constantly, i don't know how to fix this😔
@@nitupsar RGB keyboard lighting quit after two weeks, SENSE app didn't function properly and there is no updated version to fix it, had to learn that another version for another model fixed the SENSE App but not the keyboard lighting. No support except "send it back and we'll reformat it" I can do that but I put 3 weeks of work into it and I'm not doing that when I know that is the not the fix, it's a software issue. They will not troubleshoot with me over the phone. Awful support.

@@timturner9315 I had some issues with the lighting not changing to the colors i wanted for a bit. I found that if you end task "Acer lighting service" and then restart laptop open predator sense once it comes back up your keyboard should be acting right for the time being. I noticed this happens for me when i power my laptop on when its not plugged into the HDMI source it was plugged into before powering off. Now that I've done this I've noticed that as long as i open predator sense as soon as i start up the lighting continues to act right. kind of hassle but hope this helps i know it was bugging me
@@Mister_Soyuz_on_YT sort of both i told them to keep arch linux installed so they didn't test it with FreeDOS Prob faulty charger they replaced the motherboard
@@Mister_Soyuz_on_YT I told them not to install FreeBSD and keep Arch Linux. As soon as it got to me broke in 5 mins, returned the next day, got a laptop for free since they couldn't replace the faulty thing in time

That's what I ended up with but with 32 GB of RAM, not that impressed and no mfg support. Many things don't work right.

I've been looking between the neo and the non neo, the neo is far cheaper. Was wondering why the non neo was so much more expensive myself. Great vid!
neo has cheap build quality and several issues like screen bleeding and micro stutters.

I have the Lenovo legion 5 pro. The acer feels flimsy but outperforms mine. Not my much, but the Lenovo slightly lags on gaming.
