Hi I can see your point and I think its more a sensor, however it kind of works on the rachet system from the brake peddle hence why they might call it a switch ?... mrix
Hi David, I decided to change the brake light switch because I was getting ABS errors, for me it was a first port of call as many people say a faulty brake light switch can cause the ABS errors showing on my dash screen, unfortunately for me the problem did end up to be the Wheel ABS Sensors which I replaced in another video on my channel... mrix
The break light switch is simply to eliminate the back breaking light when the break peddle is pressed down, if it stops working it will effect the ABS and show warnings..... mrix
Are you having problems with your car not starting? If so did you get it fixed? Mine wasn’t starting so I replaced both batteries and it still didn’t work, I also read in some forums that it could be the brake light switch. Lmk please
