Remember kids, Porsche always delivers!
Porsche nailed it i swear to god
You are a kid
German Quality😂🤷🏼♂️
You know who else delivered, Merc with their GT Black series
@@gokulsreekumar4371 Right. German engineering as well. it’s just a german thing like working accurate and high quality cars
Fyi, the car is 6 seconds faster than the previous generation GT3RS, and 17 seconds faster than the previous-gen GT3.
It's not that they added a ton of hp, just nine more. Then add a brilliantly engineered suspension and aero kit.
*There is no substitute.*
Edit: Damn 1k likes! Never received anything like this before. Thx!
It is 17.36 seconds faster, not 12. Previous records were on the 20.6 km layout, since 2019 records are officially (as in signed off by the owners of the Nordschleife) using the full 20.832 km layout again.
It is wearing Cup2 R tires, which is sticker compound then the cars you are comparing to. I wouldn't be surprised if a 991.2 GT3 with Cup2 R tires matched the 992 GT3's times.
@@Motomillion There is no way they make a 17 second difference. Not even full-slicks could do that. It's not like the 991.2 run was on shit tires either.
@@______7224 Dude full slicks is on another Level. No comparison
@@______7224 Over a 7 minute lap, you don't think even a full slick would make a 17 second difference?
So precise in positioning the car throughout- Lars Kern can probably drive the circuit with his eyes closed! Just magic.
The king is in his castle.
Ve nice! Great success!
*Laugh in Zuffenhausen dialect niark niark niark*
Simply impressive again and again. 😮 Great performance Porsche and Lars Kern. 😉💪
Is he gonna be in the next Porsche driver in the WEC FIA series?
Hallo rAii freue mich auch voll auf das Auto!
Ist ein Wahnsinnsauto !
Just think, the British rider Andy Carlile did a similar lap time on a busy circuit on an old R1 motorbike several years ago! Now, that is impressive!!!
no good, scraping the bottom??
No one, NO ONE, makes a flat-6 like Porsche does. The 911 is the most beautiful example of the power a flat 6 can deliver...notice how the Boxer-flat 6 is continually pitted against much larger engines. That speaks volumes about Porsche. All the other "boutique" brands are left in the dust....You will never come close to the venerated 911, and rightfully so. The most beautiful vehicle ever made. Thank you, Porsche
If they manage to build a new Porsche Gt3 that is 17 seconds faster than the previous GT3 just imagine what they can do with the new generation Porsche GT2rs😱 Unbelievable Car! And Company!
992 GT2RS is far away in time, but maybe Porsche will try a 6,20 or something below that lap-time. We must be patience and wait.
exactly 😂 it'll be terrifying
Probably ~6.35 at best
@@martinortiz575 their best time in Nurburgring until couple years ago was 6.11 by Stefan Bellof in the racing 956 and you think they can do 6.20 with a street car??? This is way over optimistic
To do that it will need to drop 100kg + some crazy aero
@@Butterfly5657 i think they can with the next generation gt2rs.
The stability under braking is astonishing. Nice work!!
Especially 7:06. It's nutttts
Remember when they said: oh no, watercooling, we're doomed. Rear engine is a dead end. Naturally aspirated cars can't keep up anymore. Yet here we are drooling to get one.
spot on... but too many have forgotten, only 47likes you have ;(
@@MrTiti Yes, that's an astute observation. I would say these 47 likes are from the more knowledgeable petrol heads!
@@rossyannis3000 At least Porsche does still cater for the enthusiast. I'm not so sure about BMW anymore. Back in 2004 GT3 and E46 M3 CSL were considered competitors The current M4 is a mess and can't seriously hold a candle to the current GT3 lineup.
they have solved the natural issues so far, it is not only incredible, no similiar car can beat it no where
@@YouThana the current M4 is so bad, it loses to a CAMARO, like how does a BMW lose to a fucking Camaro
Watched this twice now and I can’t get over how early and aggressive the throttle application is. Brake, turn, STOMP! 😎
That sound is amazing. Keep making them this way Porsche. And also Great Driving
Classic Porsche! No music, no words, no nonsense, just pure adrenaline! Great video.
How many cars can do sub 7mn on the ring with just 500hp, only porsche I think
Quite a few, but they're not production cars
@@Shadowboost that s what I was meaning, porsche horses works very well
Let's not forget only car with 500 N/A Flat 6 , Porsche only competitor is themselves
@@lorenZo-zp I guess you can say Porsche has special breed of horses
Only special cars like KTM or Radical, but that are minimalistic cars.
Quicker than the 918 spyder official run. Insane!
The 918 did it in 6:57 min but has like 400bhp more
@@samuelfritz3964 the 918 did the 20.6km in 6:57 yes. This did it in 6:55
Insane how a 911 with the engine at the back can be quicker than a mid engined 918 spyder hypercar with 400 more horsepower. This must be some kind of witchcraft, because I don’t get it.
@@DavidS997 a large reason for the shorter time is improvements in tire compounds. Run the 918 on comparable tires and it'll run ~15 seconds quicker.
Watching the 918, it has so much less grip, especially a lot of understeer from what it looks like
I love the music this beast makes when it revs to 9000 rpm, pure art!
Wow!!
The 6:59 time is for the full track.
All previous references were for the shorter 20.6 km.
This car did the shorter lap in 6:55 and that's impressive!
Faster than the 918 spyder and the previous gen 911 gt3rs.
Cant wait to see what the rs version of this will be capable of. Let alone the gt2rs...
Where is track shortened? I don't know why there are two lengths being measured in the same lap
@@aggrobernd if you see the timer, for the shorter lap it starts a few seconds later, owing to the extra 200 or so metres.
They both finish at the same point though.
@@shrirham489 so basically one starts at the timing line and the other one starts at the point where the 24h race joins the nordschleife?
@@aggrobernd The shorter one is called the Sport Auto lap. They started doing that many years ago, and the reason is so they have time to brake and enter the pits without needing to go around the whole track one more time. The SA lap is basically the de facto standard today, I think almost all laps you see are the SA lap.
I came for the title stayed for the sound
Underrated comment
GT3's is so grippy even during high speed cornering, you can't help but FEEL IT through this onboard capture.
Porsche showing the world again and again that they know a little about making a perfectly balanced car. What a masterpiece, what an engineering accomplishment.
Just wait for the Tesla Model S plaid+
@@CraigBradford for what? For it to do a sub 7:20 and overheating after? Lol, nice joke. That trash is like a 1000hp and yet it can't even do sub 7:00. Oh and it costs more than this Porsche. Yall Tesla fanboys are weird. Whenever there's something truly exceptionally great built by a company you crawl out of your holes and start yelling "wait for this, wait for that" Instead of waiting, why don't you admire the present?
@@elodgubcsi All Tesla can do is make people wait ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
177mph. not bad. i just love the feel and sound of that engine. when you're sitting there, and feel that grumble, you know it's there. the power is right there behind me. there is no substitute!
nearer 178 mph
The suspension is amazing!
2:02 is a masterclass in momentum and car control. Superb
Huge Porsche fanboy here! Wow it’s always a treat to see my favourite car doing what it does best! Absolutely fantastic 💙
I don't remember the last time Porsche actually disappointed. They nail it every single time. Extreme Engineering!!!
With the cayman 4 cilinder
I love how he hits the limitter at 0:30, this means that all the power is in the high end of the rev range like how its supposed to be!
Not really, that's simply late shift
This is f*cKing top. Porsche is the scalpel of the track. Always.
Lars Kern...pretty impressive to say the least. The guy is a true wheelman!
The sound it made shifting into 6th down the straight brought a tear to my eye
The dampers on this are incredible. It’s amazing how smooth the speed looks and how settled it is after big bumps. Incredible engineering job. The team should be very proud of their work
I was drooled over the driver's handle... didn't put a single counter steer, just drove like a LMP car
Looks more like a racing Porsche than ever with that totally new front and swan neck rear wing 8)
The car from the video isn't the regular GT3?
@@gustavoflorio5383 Of course it is.
Definitely very RSR like.
wow good to hear brake microphone too. makes it more connected to visual experience, normally dont hear that in most driving videos.
The immediacy of how quickly the driver could go to WOT consistently throughout the lap was quite impressive.
Porsche did another amazing job and Lars drive was stunning as always.
A real driving machine
Didn't know I could hold my breath for nearly 7 mins.
This is my dream car!
911+NA+Manual = Perfect drivers car
insane!
props to the Driver aswell, mad skills!
Porsche the King!
When you consider that balls of Lars Kern are bigger and heavier then diesel Cayenne, this is pretty impressive lap time. God, that's fast!
Stunning car and great driving as always, love the way he rotates the car into the chicane at Adenauer Forst at 2:03
Awesome.
I think the last model sounded better but this ones faster so yeah.
OPF filters I’m guessing.
Still my favorite car since 997 gen GT3. Really a no brainer for every enthousiast. This will always have a topspot in my dreamgarage.
He doesn’t waste any time “rolling in the throttle”!
😂😎😂
Instead he takes some corners a bit slower
@@velkoto1 could carry more speed mid corner.
@@velkoto1 i know that, im just judging from a 200sx ive seen go between 110-120 midcorner in places where he was going 80-100 although when u have capable engine/engine placement it doesnt matter.

Only 1 second slower than the 918 😱 Porsche continues to raise the bar.
What a journey..286Km/h on the long stretch ⚡⚡🤘🔥
Trying to watch the out the windscreen shot. But I keep watching his hands and can't believe it's a Porsche. The stability of that thing is ridiculous. That's a car that most will be able to drive fast in. An engineering masterpiece.
Anybody else find it more impressive he accomplished this with the sun in his eyes? 🌞
Lars could Drive a whole turn without eyes 😂😂
balls of steel
The gearing is perfect
Es gibt Autos und dann gibt es Porsche :-)
Gratulation an @Porsche und Lars Kern. Tolles Fahrzeug und super Runde
where is Misha in here? Starting to get worried
LOL
In his ring tractor.
Thanks for this simple onboard view with plenty of flat six noise. No Top Gear editing or theatrics needed.
Faster than the old generation GT3 RS!!!
You should only compare with the same tires. Twice Cup 2 R, then the 992 GT3 is almost four seconds slower. And two full professionals at the wheel.

Think he knows the track quite well. Love the way the throttle trace is mostly completely green.

Porsche GT3 proves that lap times come from competent suspension and lightweight.
Porsche HP is underrated so 500+ horses doesn’t hurt either lol. Especially on the long straights of the ring
and from the massive downforce the car produces.. I heard this new generation gt3 produces 150% more downforce then previous generation when 200kmph
it's all about downforce and tires at nürburgring
Porsche just doing its usual top tier engineering
Glückwunsch, sehr schönes KFZ

I was about to close YT and then I saw this video
Classic Porsche

Wow,faster than my Multipla
Not as good looking though...😂

A great big thank you for this video. We all needed this. Absolutely beautiful.
Reminds me so much of LFA Ring package. Still moderate power from incredible engine, and evne more incredible lap time. This car is faster than AMG GT R Pro, 488 Pista, and only 2s slower than 918!
to compare it to the 918 you have to look at the 20.6km time so its actually faster than the 918.
That thing is absolutely glued to the road 😂😂 the sound of the flat-6 too brooooo I want this car so baaaad
