    My mom has had locs for over 20 years. She knows a lot of folks who have cut their locs off or combed them out. That's fine, their hair. Locs are not for everyone. But then those some folks start bad-mouthing locs or bad-mouthing her hair. At the end of the day, she has long, natural, healthy-looking hair that she doesn't have to fuss with. Some of these people are just jealous.
    "E-thugs!" I love it! That's right, don't feed the trolls.

      Scrappylocs what do I tell my barber if I'm freeforming because he's used to picking/combing out and sponging my hair?

    • @Scrappylocs
      @Scrappylocs  7 років тому

      Tory Bolton tell him to leave the hair alone and cut the fade around it without encroaching on the edge

    My dad said something once that made me really love my locs and not care about what others thought of them. He said "if you take a strand of hair from everyone in the world and put it in a bowl, mix it around, and tell them to find their hair, they can't. but you can find yours because it's different from everyone else's" that really stuck with me, lol. that's how I see it now. locs are beautiful, different shapes and sizes and for me they symbolize strength.

      n. That's some awesome insight! I love that because it's very true all locs are different and beautiful in their own ways

    Hey 3 questions scrappy:
    1) I do the towel rub once or twice a week is that good or will it damage my hair.
    2) what is yr email address or best way to contact you cause i want to show you my progress.
    3) how can i control dandruff

    • @Scrappylocs
      @Scrappylocs  7 років тому +1

      Grovilite 12 1) I'd say more or less once a day at first till they start to hold when wet and in between washing.
      2) DM me on instagram @scrappylocs we'll chop it up 👍🏾💯
      3) find a good shampoo that soothes irritation on your scalp and find a wash schedule that works with your daily routine and then stick to it.
      Hope that helps, 👍🏾🌴☀️✌🏾

      Scrappylocs thanks man. Also i sleep with a wool pillow. i dont protect my hair when i sleep at night so it can tangle up. should i spritz my hair in the morning or what should i do?

    • @Scrappylocs
      @Scrappylocs  7 років тому

      Grovilite 12 I usually rinse my hair in the morning, I don't protect mine either. The only thing I'd caution you on is to make sure you dry your hair all the way after you rinse

    • @grovilite4220

      Scrappylocs also if i wear wool tams or beanies will i run the risk of deforming my freeform process
