Фантастическое впечатление, истинно карнавальное! И счастливые улыбки зрителей не столько от высочайшей виртуозности, а скорее от ощущения счастья от чуда исполнения такого класса. Bravo!!
Браво, браво, браво!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Замечательнейший скрипач, тонкий и вдумчивый музыкант, виртуоз, для которого не существуют техн. сложности!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know that both Paganini and Ernst wrote variations for this but what I'm hearing here is a very popular version - I've heard Kirill Troussov play the same version, and other violinists play this version as well. Is there a score written by a modern violinist that I haven't seen yet? The left-hand pizzicato in the video here is much more exciting than what I've seen on the existing scores. Also the fast chords variation and the "drunken" octaves variation.... they do not appear on the scores I've seen. So I am curious! I hope someone can help me out in finding this particular version, since I am keen to learn it as soon as possible!!!
There is another video on UA-cam of the carnevale de venezia with ~350.000 views and the music sheet as the thumbnail. Theres a download link in the description. Let me know if you dont find it :)
In Germany this melody is a nursery rhyme: „Mein Hut der hat drei Ecken“. So the audience didn‘t expect this kind of song and didn’t either expect turning this into high virtuosic variations.
that was the intention of paganini ; in italy this song id very old and common , paganini made ir more speddy and funny ; the way tath this musician interpretate this song is incredible , paganini wrote it whit taht intention

I read on a comment on another recording of this that the theme is a children's song in Germany called "Mein Hut, der hat drei Ecken" (My hat, which has three corners). The members of the audience recognize it from childhood. Wikipedia has more information.

Maestro Paganini would have been delighted by this wonderful virtuoso.

The greatest recognition for the soloist is seen in the faces of the first violinists in the orchestra:)

Все замечательно, только это не Паганини. Это Генрих Вильгельм Эрнст.
Ora che so chi è giuro che non bestemmierò più
