Wanted to like this. Don't know why everyone is so blown away with Squire's Dad-rock-man-in-the-pub-heard-it-all-before licks. And like loads have said, the lyrics are totally brainless. I like brainless but this is bad brainless. 5/10. Meanwhile Noel is smashing it with another artistic triumph and on the back of his best solo album yet. Liam for the masses who just want the same old stuff regurgitated and Noel for those who want to hear artistic progression. Absolutely insanely great! Just mint! I’m a music snob! I just am! The Who, Traffic, Small Faces, Kinks on and on…Most music is utter shi*e…No innovation. Absolutely balls! No pioneers. No Velvet Underground. No Ramones or Joy Division. Nought. Anyway, I once saw Liam whilst I was on the way to work. He was at a boozer on Blackheath wearing leopard skin Wallabies. He was swamped with a pint in his hand. Looked happy enough! I was ordering shitloads of Oasis for Virgin when I worked for them as a nipper, and I insisted we stocked all their back catalogue singles in multiples and they always flew out! Point being, I think Liam is now so close to surpassing that rich back catalogue with his own material and collaborations. Don’t think it was ever his intention or point to prove but what I do believe is that the essential ingredient that our heroes possessed, he’s just somehow been imbued with that and long may he shine on! As for JS - ABSOLUTE SAME ALCHEMY…This is MUSIC!

Ok at first I wasn’t sure about this song, in fact I felt sort of disappointed after waiting so long for it. Especially because of how much of a letdown the lyrics were……. But after repeated listens this song is one of my top LG songs! You don’t rly listen to Liam for deep lyrics (not to say he doesn’t ever have them, but their a bit few and far between lol), but for that epic rock and roll voice. Which he totally delivers on this song. Plus that solo by Squire? Hooooooo boyyyyyyyy it’s awesome. Learned this one on guitar the other day, so much fun. Absolutely phenomenal work, can’t wait for the album! 🤩
