The Most Expensive Wooting 60HE

- Okay, so not exactly the most expensive, but pretty pricy XD. I can definitely/easily go higher. I mainly bought this to play competitive Overwatch.
Case: Black Mekanisk Fjell ($300)
Keycaps: GMK Shanshui ($180)
PCB/plate: Wooting 60HE ($200)
Stabilizers: Zeal plate mount ($30)
Lube: 205g0 (only on stem)
I originally wanted to put on a $600 artisan keycap on it, but I think I like the all gmk shanshui look better
No case foam or tape
Fantastic keycap match for the black Fjell.
when ur keyboard cost more than ur pc
Hold my beer that’s actually the best wooting I’ve ever heard
i think this might be the first wooting 60he mod i've seen that i'm satisfied with. All the others have this weird sound that i don't like.
@kuhiro lol its too expensive for me i just decided to get the tofu 60. kinda lucky i got one ig
A lot of them sound worse than the stock wooting lmao
@@slattslattslatt ikr
@kuhiro lol how much?
Same but GMK MIZU which is apparently considered rare now lol
crispy sound
Case: Blade 60 ($105)
Keycaps: GMK WoB ($130)
Stabilizers: Durock v2 ($20)
PCB: Wooting 60HE ($200)
Plate: Polycarbonate ($20)
Lube: 205g0 ( stem + spring)
Has anyone tried using a different plate? I feel like even just cutting your own from POM or PC or something would make this sound and feel WAAAY better.
This is nuts
any reason you didn't install foam or tape? still sounds great.
Create a vid on how you modded it cus this just sounds so different to mine it’s crazy
Would you say the typing angle is good even without wrist rest?
Also any advice on Klippe T vs Fjell? I cannot decide which one I should get.. :D
I personally don’t have a problem with the 8 degree angle. I usually type on a 13 degree keyboard anyhow.
As for the klippe vs fjell, just depends on what you want. Two different keyboards at the end of the day, but same mounting style. You like a more simple tofu look and lighter case (also cheaper)? Klippe. A heavier keyboard with a brass weight inside and (imo) sounds and looks better? Fjell
i like these gaming keyboard in disguiese type of build lol
Yooooo 16k views you made it bruv
it took me 7 seconds to realize you put the thing in a Fjell. why...
Why not?
It’s not like the Fjell is crazy good or anything lol
@@chunkymilk1288 Fjell is a good board though
@@youareyourwords it’s definitely a good board, but not up to endgame level especially in 2023
@@chunkymilk1288 No such thing as endgame
$600 artisan? What is it
did u change the plate or using stock steel plate?
Kept the stock plate. You can't really change the plate easily
Hmmm not sure if I'm a big fan of the sound of this. I did put the 60HE in my Fjell with GMK keycaps and no other mods. Been looking for a way to adjust the sound. Do you think it's worth lubing the switches?
PE foam … only thing that will save the lekker switches. And the lighter springs the stock ones are hella crunchy. Steel plate also sucks get alu instead.
I mean if you want a better sound, you should lube with a thick grease like 205g0 or higher, and then put oil on the springs to eliminate if not most of the ping and crunch. I personally avoid aggressive approaches like pe foam or tape. At the end of the way contactless switches just don’t sound or feel very good lol
@@Navarro3612 Oil is not enough for the wootings springs. They are too wide and thin. They need hand lubing with a heavy lube.
The switch lube won't change the sound much, most of the "shitty" typical sound of the lekker switch comes from the big hole in the bottom and the pingy mild steel default plate.
@@philipp594 they sound pretty shitty imo, though I got all the ping out by bag lubing and then donut dipping the ones that still ping.
Still really not satisfied with the sound in my Klippe.
Tried with noico, which absorbed pretty much everything and I didn’t like it.
Stock foam is imo too thick for the Klippe.
Maybe poly fill or something.
Currently only tape mod and is ok.
Will maybe try Pe foam, though, seems like it would maybe mess with the switch? Or maybe that were just the films, dunno.
@@Bloxor21 They don't. I had them without pe and with pe foam. Clacky and thockkkky.
What you need to do is: You need a different plate. The factory steel plate is pingy as f. You need to use the lighter springs. They are still a touch pingy and some of them will be crunchy (luckily you have 100 in a pack and can sort those out). And you have to handlube the springs with a heavy lube like 205 to get them to quit pinging and crunching.
The default pcb foam is open cell. It will sound fine with it, but the KBDfans one will give it a better sound. Now you need a good case. I have mine gasket mounted in a Sangeo60 with a custom alu plate. a Tofu with burger mod will work to. Or that wilba board with the springs. a fjell etc.
The wooting keycaps suck too. I ordered mine without keycaps and put some PBTfans on it. I will change the stabilizers to tx-stabs with xht-bdz .. I think then I am done.
You don't even need to tapemod. They sound real good with or without the pe foam if you just handle the springs and change plate and case.
What was the artisan you were planning to put on it, was it a clack or something?
Did you lube the stabs? Space bar sounds good!
bro thats $700
sounds good! did you try filming the switches?
What switches?
Is there a case that is slim and minimalistic? Every custom I see have this ugly ass bulky outdated case.
Just how much oomph does this mod add to the mix?
yo does Black Mekanisk Fjell 100% compatible?? like i dont need extra stuff
module is not 200 lmao
Did uou buy pcb seperate?
Hey, did you have to remove the switches and put them back in south facing to be able to use the GMK keycaps or do they work fine with the default north facing
I went ahead and put them south facing. I assume you will run into interference if you decide to use cherry profile and north facing config
From my experience you will run into interference, so switch to south facing.
Having the Klippe T with me on hand waiting for wooting. Saw in your comments (unless I read wrong) and why is it not worth to tape mod or pe foam the wooting? I was planning on doing tape mod for the wooting and mount on klippe t? Will PolyFil be a better option?
Bro just tape mod it what
It seems that trying to make the lekker switches to sound good is really hard or downright impossible. Ahh out of all the possible trade offs to have a better performance why would it be the sound 🤣
Wdym, it sounds flawless for a stock keyboard. Even against customs, there's not that screamy difference, like there's some other pathetic sounding boards like the Apex Pro TKL, lmao.
@@ErickdeOli6038 To my ears I don't like the stock sound when your typing on the alphas with it sounds like there is a thin piece of metal rattling inside the hollow plastic housing. Maybe it's the larger than usual springs? Whatever it is I don't like the sound. But I found a vid where it sounded really decent. Guess the switch relies more on the case and what type of material dampening you shove inside to make it sound better but that's all preference. You can tape mod the pcb but I haven't seen someone put PE foam on it. I doubt PE foam would work it might mess up the height the switches sit on the pcb and ruin the actuation distance of the switch or something. Here's the vid if your interested on hearing the typing test ua-cam.com/video/NkVAcvMwhHA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=chrisP
why no case foam?
You don't always need case foam in every keyboard build; it's personal preference
play osu with that thing
sounds ass for that price
It’s not it’s not even 1000 total. Even mine was more than that.
clickbait and mid looking build
