- This video is for those wanting to know about Australian Parrots in the wild with emphasis on what they eat. The parrots are colourful birds and Australia was called the land of Parrots by early Dutch sailors freighting from the spice Islands. Enjoy.
Wow!! Australia is a bird lover's paradise! Greetings from India
You also have beautiful birds in India
True even I too need to say the same
These parrots are amazing
Where I live in Adelaide, I frequently see yellow-tailed black cockatoos, red-rumped parrots, Adelaide rosellas, sulphur crested cockatoos, galahs, rainbow lorikeets, little lorikeets, musk lorikeets, and in areas nearby I also see eastern rosellas, corellas, and crimson rosellas. I have seen australian ring necks in the wild too!
A little know secret is that Eclectus birds have a call they only show their friends. In the morning they can be heard calling "Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi." a very original call, even for a bird.
Wow!
I've owned parrots (small green ones) since childhood. In adulthood, mostly the lovely cockatiels. I just lost a beloved lutino female to cancer a month and a half ago after 17 years. I miss her so much. I love your documentaries on birds but especially on parrots. I just subscribed. Thank you for all your hard and dedicated work to bring us in the comfort of our homes all this wonderful wealth of information! ❤🦜❤
Awesome filming and excellant explanations.
Thans for the comment.
Parrots Paradise 🤗
I have budgeries myself,
They all have their own character.
They are little characters aren't they?
Many years ago now I had the pleasure of seeing a pair of hooded nesting in an anthill hollow.
What made that day so special was within an hour we also saw red and black faced Gouldian's feeding together on the ground in the same scrubby country.
It's a complete shame on Australia that these birds have been put under such pressure.
The vivid blue on the lower backs of Red wings is one of the most breath taking sights to see in Australian parrots in my opinion.
What an amazing video! The grass parakeets have always been my favorite! Thank You for all the time you spent in making this awesome video for us!
Very well done I agree it could be on Netflix or something like that with the quality this shows.
So many parrots ❤️
Beautiful they are free and happy in it's natural living.
Wonderful channel, always excited about every new shared video! Thanks alot
If Australia weren't full of venomous6snakes and huge creepy crawlies, I'd say it's the paradise of my dreams😍🥰
All the bugs and shit dont bother u if u dont bother them
All the hard work so beautiful.🤩
The best video I’ve seen. Having ridden my push bike across Australia twice. I was able to get very close being on the bike.
Subhan Allah lovely 🌹🌹😍🌹😍
If I lived in Australia I'd always let my grass go to seed, and I'd plant grasses which produce prodigiously. I'd plant Eucalipts and fruiting bushes too.
😁
I am a nature and Australia lover from Pakistan . I love Australia because of these parrots.
Do U have any native parrot's in Pakistan?
Birds are great everywhere.
I love the way you talk about Australian History and Nature. Such amazing movies are sadly not really made anymore; so I am all the more grateful for these fantastic videos and insider knowledge! I have some bonded pairs of parrots (pets) and I am wondering HOW they communicate when to do things as a pair (or in the wild: as a flock) - as they often take off, screech or do things at exactly the same time. Must be their brain stems synchronising or something like that.
Thank you.
Thanks for a very beautiful video.
So nice to look at it brings us closer to nature.

you should do a invasive birds of australia
Starting with those terrible Indian miners who aggressively displace the natives
❤❤❤❤❤
At end of 12 min mark and into 13 min mark 2 Pale headed rosellas were on the ground feeding. One was feeding the other and narrator said it was an adult feeding a fledgling. Not fact. It was 2 adults engaged in beak feeding which strengthens bonds in the partnership. Pale headed rosella young are born with red heads. I have seen many of them in avian rescue/rehab in Queensland.
Nice pick up. Greatly appreciated.
Fast comment fast like 2 view👍👍
@Plumes of Oz thanks for all the shared information, where does all your knowledge come from if I may ask?
That term 'bird brain'..not to sure if thats it!

So many species - it's hard to keep up with them all ! Nice presentation. I'd be interested to know - how much faster is the Swift parrot - than it's nearest cousin ? Does speed make them less vulnerable to predation ie. are they notably more successful for this ?
Hard to answer that ...need the parrot Olympics.
❤👍

Do you think a peach face parrot would survive when it flew away , how common are they
In Australia we have the Red Cheeked. There is a Peach Cheeked but it is African so I'm unsure.
It would depend in how well and fast it managed to adapt to foraging for its own food if it managed to work out how to feed itsef fairly quickly then i wouldnt see why it couldn't survive in the wild.

Ummm...Capt. Cook never 'sailed into Sydney Cove'.
Captain Cook sailed into Botany Bay not Sydney Cove
Are parrots banned in Australia just as in India ?
Many bird breeders in Australia but a license is required to breed native birds.
HINDI DOCUMENTARY PLEASE
Cockatiels are cockatoos. They aren't a separate family.
Documental excelente...los felicito..me gustaría si se puede en español... saludos desde chile 🇨🇱 👍
Thank you.

Austrália é o reino dos psitacideos
Lorikeets are parrots
As a traditional kind. I agree.
Unfortunately, many bird species are in decline. Australia is overrun by millions of feral cats!
All birds are born naked. I think you mean bald.
Precocial Vs non precocial.
