Damn... First Fallout london now assassins creed. well done BBC.
Yes, a game set in Japan with a black samurai of course, because that's what everyone thinks of when they think of Japan.
😂
It's based on a real historical person, unlike the usual whyte-saviour character (The last samurai) you'll find in Western stories based in Japan.
@@Exxperiment626the sengoku period has so many real historical samurais that they dont need a "whyte saviour" or token black character to be the protagonist.
Xaxaxaxa
@@Exxperiment626 Are you forgetting how that movie ended? Katsumoto and his clan (who are the last Samurai of the title) are wiped out and the Samurai class becomes extinct, so what exactly is Algren a white saviour of exactly?
Just play ghost of Tsushima
"It was time we did a game based in Japan"
Picks a Black guy for the lead LOL
He's based on a real person.
@@a-walpatches6460 who wasn't a Samurai
Did Ubisoft sponsor BBC?
Bahahhaa
That's what they're doing
BBC loves fake history when it comes to black people
Likely because no one was gonna play another AC till they did.
I’d play an Ancient Rome assassins creed in a heartbeat
@@captainrex4723there is one it’s called assassins creed brotherhood
William Adams (Miura Anjin) was an English navigator who sailed with a Dutch trading fleet to the far East and landed in Japan in 1600. He became a vassal under the Shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu, was bestowed with a title, lands and swords, and became the first SAMURAI from England......historically a white Englishman
Hello people what is this interview about please because I don't understand it.
But did they actually consult Japanese natives for it?
No one cares or need their approval.
could that be King Charles in the red painting 😂😂😂😂
Using a token black character as the protagonist, when he was just historically paraded around as a curiosity is insulting. They should have given us a Japanese man as the lead. It's so obviously just woke crap. I am not buying this game.
Ok
Good riddance to you.
'It was time we did a game based in Japan' Makes the lead African 🤣
And woman
@@billybatts8283 It's also like saying it was time we did a game based in China or Africa and makes the main protag white :-)
Exciting!
No bad BBC
Like every AC game now. The build up will be massive, the trailers will look fantastic. They will sell the game on how cool the period is.....and then the game will be incredibly average.
Also can't wait to see all the diversity which makes absolutely no sense.
Wow, what a ray of sunshine you are. Mirage was an excellent game. If you're referring to the "diversity which makes absolutely no sense" of a black protagonist, he's actually based on a real person.
He's passionate about his upcoming game, can't wait to try/play it.
Great questions from the interviewer, I hope bbc continue these gaming interviews
A black man from Africa find his ancestor‘s memory was in Asia.
"It was time we did a game based in Japan"
No Shit Sherlock
nope not playing .
Then why are you here?
@@a-walpatches6460 because my mother had a weak moment and let my deadbeat father do the deed and 9 months later a mistake was born .
got any other bright questions to ask you complete tool??
Am i the only one noticing this assassins creed video is sandwiched between the slovakian PM assassination atempt videos? 💀
Yeah with a black retainer who they made and full samurai. It has sweet baby Inc’s hands all over it hard pass.
Ac in Morocco ples
❤❤
Hopefully the game doesn’t fall completely on its ass.
It will. Of course it will.
Yeee sure
It already has with a dei samurai
I wonder if the game will feature the otherworldly writing of quests present in Valhalla. There was this quest where toy had to assist a person with making a huge fart. Riveting. Can't wait to play more quests like this. Perhaps, they will make a quest about vomiting this time? Expand their horizons? Who knows?
Why am i paying a license fee to the BBC so they can market games for Ubisoft? Just wondering 🤔
greed ... duh.
Because of 🤑🤑🤑
Coz the tory party appointed a tory chief at BBC. So less focus on news and events and more dumming down so it can be criticised and defunded.
Yet here you are, clicking the video and taking the time to comment on it and give it impressions, well played.
@@tomsapwell5016 & here you are doing the same thing , do you understand at all what you just did ?doubtful.
Balance is the law of nature where there is night there is day where there is darkness there is light .. that’s how the universe operates 👍🌍it’s all about respecting its balance and not interfering at all .
Mortal kombat was my favourite all time and the character Sonia lol
Sure
This is not news. More like an infomercial. Fail.
At 7:51, he talks about how they are moving into the Next-Gen of Assassin's Creed game, and it actually sounds cool!
I like the idea of a seasons system, crawling, and lighting in stealth.
So sad they destroyed the AC franchise. I absolutely loved the Ezio games (played 1000's of hours) and very much liked the later games until the Origins which started the nosedive. Now I don't even bother to check it out when they announce a new "AC" game.
Ubisoft... I'll Pass... Duel protag... I'll pass... None Japanese main characters... I'll pass.
Haha! What a joke! BBC wont save you!! You know what you did!?
All the previous AC series before, the characters are based on the location where the lore is based on... AC Shadow is the only exception!
Don't tell me that you couldn't find any Japanese Samurai in Japan!!
It's like sailing on a boat to get to Japan to get a samurai but lands in Africa instead...😂😂
Resident evil showed the pandemic spreading in a way I feel or the zombie film japan makes sense… it’s all happening
I love you ❤️❤️❤️

Iceberg de Assassins creed
Since when does bbc do gaming coverage???
They are fishing young people
Next report someone the young person can empathise with gets killed
Softened you up
Then I don't know next report
Either they want you to like them ..or hate them
But your guard is down a wee bit
Go into a university about psychology
Ask them how would you manipulate someone if you were a tv channel
BBC ran out of news
The games industry is now worth more than films, music and sport combined. This is news.
Large black person as stealthy samurai assassin in Japan before they event met Europeans makes perfect sense and represents bravery and engenuity of developers.
Yasuke (弥助 or 弥介) was a man, likely of African origin, who served as a servant and retainer to the Japanese daimyō Oda Nobunaga in 1581-1582, during the Sengoku period.[2] He was retained by the daimyō as a koshō (小姓, page) for a period of 15 months until Nobunaga's death in the Honnō-ji Incident.[3][4]
Ghost of Tsushima motivated Ubisoft haha!!!
Not another Assassins Creed surely
"AC:Japan has been something I & countless others have been hoping & wishing for FOREVER, and you F'ed it up!
I have to agree am sorry but I would of MUCH PREFERRED Japanese Characters, instead of the Never Ending PC Insanity being shoved down everyone's throats 24/7/265...
I LOVE Japan & the Japanese people, and have interacted with them many times online. WHY inject this PC BS ???...
its too much." - copy/paste of message I left Ubisoft
We need an assassins creed 2 film.
Play Ghost of Tsushima, it's better value for your money and will always be a better Japanese themed Assassins Creed than this game will ever be.
Least Assassins Creed made it on the News like GTA 6 did
100%
Then why is the architecture Chinese and why is the the protagonist black? Also, women couldn't carry swords in that period. This game is a slap in the face to Japan.
Hi so best live news around the world🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎❤❤❤❤❤
N person
let the icons spoiled everything, you mean hogwart legacy?
And then ubisofts share prices plummeted. In the words of Nelson Muntz, HA HA.
Yeah but they want 130 dollars
Iam Takeshi Baka , I live in japan and this Is the most anticipated game in Japan. I think this will sell 100 million copies worldwide for sure or else I will do harakiri .
Given that Shinzo Abe was assasinated, and the most recent attempt on Robert Fico's life, is this some kind of subliminal messaging? (edited to correct spelling mistake)
It was time to do it after origins tbh.
Maybe

No, you weren't. Sad.
It's about time 😂
Definitely a more important story than the 76th anniversery of Israels first big ethnic cleasing excersie. Which is being studiously ignored.
agreed
Japanese male cannot be the main character.
Isn't this discrimination?😢
I know he is not responsible for everything, i.e the construction of the matrix from scratch etc
but i like to see the age of the developers to put into context where i am at in life

*This is going to be unbelievable*
Assasin creed gay
More totally overpriced woke AAA rubbish. When are people going to wake up to this nonsense and stop buying them?
Massive backlash from the Japanese over this game. BBC still unable to read the room.
Assassin creed games have been shit for years last good one was black flag
Humans are the dominant species on the planet. The smartest of us study space and provide answers to questions that were considered unsolvable 200-300 years ago. However, we still cannot solve the main mystery - the origin of man.
Terrible timing as Slovakia PM's still struggling for life
Game is gonna be trash
