  • How to make the best tasting, fastest, easiest to make limeade and lemonade on the planet! We grow all kinds of citrus trees on our property and get to enjoy a lot of limeade and lemonade. We tried a lot of methods and versions and settled on this limeade recipe. Watch as I show you exactly how I make it, my ingredient ratios and what I tried in the past before getting this delicious version. You do not have to cook a sugary syrup on the stove. The limes we use are called Bearrs Limes.
If you're able to, I highly recommend you grow citrus trees! You can grow them outdoors in warmer climates and indoors in pots in colder climates.

Thank you for the video. I really miss your content. I got into winter sowing because of you. I learned a lot but was very frustrated because I live in zone 8 which can be a challenge. I was hoping you were going to show us how to winter sow in your somewhat new environment. Making videos is very time consuming I am sure, but I learned alot from you and hope you continue educating us. Thank you!

I hope we see some more of you soon. I just found you, and I’m a BRAND NEW baby gardener and I live near Palm Springs too. I have no idea what I’m doing and most of the “how tos” don’t apply to me really because I’m in the desert. I was so so excited to find your channel so I do hope to see some more content. One thing I hope you can answer, even if you don’t do any more videos, is did you ever find any non toxic drip line?

Hi ib just posted 2 new WS vids this week. How's your WS going? You can still do it PS. Definitely many good reasons to do it here. And we've had such lovely cold here in Riverside!
No I never found a non-toxic drip line. Don't believe one exists. Only non toxic garden hoses. We absolutely have to have drip here so I succumbed. I use drip for minimal daily upkeep and spray water couple x a week to soak them all.

Try juiced apples for a sweetener

Great tip. I do that a lot too, with apples.. Sometimes you just want a plain old fashioned sweet tart lemonade! And yes there are so many good low glycemic sweeteners on the market. I am just not a fan of the lower glycemic alcohol sugars (mannitol, erythrytol ...) or stevia that so many use. But apples are a nice sweetener too. Also I use org maple syrup instead or org cane sugar.

Just the other day I heard about yellow limes for the first time ever but didn’t catch the variety name. I just moved to rural Missouri where WalMart is our only grocery store within 45 miles so it is difficult to get decent fresh produce, let alone citrus☹️. Hopefully I’ll find some local farmers markets to support this summer. Eventually I’d like to grow my own citrus trees in so I will look into the lime variety you enjoy to see if it will do well in a container.

It should do well in a big, well draining container! It took me awhile to wrap my head around the yellow lime too. The taste is very limey which drove it home for me.we had limeade for 3 months. They're just finishing now and we'll have lemonade for many more months. The limes are the first citrus we harvest each year!!

Could you not just warm a cup of water to help dissolve the sugar. Just stick your zero water in a cup into the microwave and warm it a little.
