Great review. I’m happy to see that I’m not the only one who gets out of breath riding an e-bike 😂 I was one of the first persons at work to have an e-bike and I got quite a lot of stick from my mates about only old men need that sort of bike, and now 5 years later nearly everyone has one. Funny how times changes 😂

I've clocked over 5,000 miles on my Cube Hybrid with its Bosch system. I've replaced the usual things, chains, brake pads, tyres and the cassette at 5,0000 miles. and even the pedals at 3,600 miles.The main cause for concern is the electrics, especially the motor. What can I say. No problems at all - yet lol. At least with this new bike of yours if the motor gives up after many miles you can just swap the back wheel with another motor in it. With my Cube that won't happen because it's a mid drive motor and a specialist's job. Good luck with it.

Cracking review Ads, the filming was really good and well edited. The bike got a fair review and will help many to form an opinion on it. For me, it seems heavy and there are many lighter framed bikes on the market to choose from if for more general road/trail riding. Still, a big help, so cheers.👋

Wiltshire Man also gave a honest and rigorous review. You’ll have to put your thinking cap on to devise a way to attach a hefty carrier to the back of the motor home so that you can enjoy this “beasty” looking bike when you start travelling again. Also a nice touring seat for Zoe to sit on would eliminate the need for a second bike 😃😏😃😏😃.

Only just gound your video. I have the cruiser too and am quite happy at 15mph and 4mph to start me off on the walk assist throttle. Im a bushcrafter and 59 years of age. Too fast and id miss those vital trees i could use to hang the hammock from and at 15mph, the damage is far less than would happen on say a Suron for example. Due to srrious health ussues, I'd have had to give up bushcrafting altogether, until i bought the Himiway Cruiser...that would have shut down my activities altogether. Great video buddy. @@HermanHitstheRoad we have a massive garage and there is no way that bike would fit into it, never mind two bikes.pedal power for heart and lungs .
So true even with a massive garage, as we have it wouldn't fit.

iirc the UK spec himiway actually has a weaker motor. a 250 watt motor. compared to the 750 watt on the NA version. (in canada we have a 500 watt limit but they use the controller software to limit the output which funny enough can be removed lol). the throttle on them can get them to 20 MPH and up to 25 or higher when unlocked, which isnt street legal. so i feel like the UK model just feels bad to have less power, but that also means it will generally have a better range.
Yes, DeshFyre the UK version has a 250W motor which is the legal limit over here. Which is ample if you ask me. Anything more and it'll be a motorcycle-scooter like a vespa

Great review but i need an ebike that can tackle hills without me having to stand up (copd sufferer), I need the workout but not to the point where I'll collapse. I like campervan travels, so you got yourself a new sub.

Sorry but your positoning is horrible, much lean forward, saddle much to low?? your knees are not enough straight, to much angle. And honestly I would recommand to read the manual before. If you want all the power, choose highest support.
My position is correct, Caecilius Metellus. The seat is the right height making my legs straight with a small bend. As for the manual, I have read it even though it's in German. Not sure what that has to do with my position though 🤷♂️ it only tells you how to build it.

You do a very good product review Ads - I guess it helps when it’s something you’re in to already. Pete and I went out today on our bikes - I have an electric bike and Pete doesn’t. I keep asking him if he wants to upgrade to electric but he’s happy with his bike,

Great review! It sounds as though it is geared for power assist and without power it would be too hard to pedal, so range becomes an issue. Good for just dodging about though, like on hols!

A beautiful looking bike. You looked like you were having fun on it. Not suitable for me as I need a step through bike and the tyres are too big to put on the rack on Madge. Great review. Take care Gill

Warning ,Do Not Buy a Himiway product . This company will lie to you . This is an honest complaint from a senior that has payed for an ebike and they havn't shipped it ,even thought they tell you it ships in 2 days. So frustrated.

Just fyi, the US version of this bike gets a 450W motor...and the UK only 250W. Also, you can change the front handbar step if you do not like the upright 'cruser' position. Finally, you can enter a 4 digit code and increase the speed limit.
Thanks WestHam. You're right but this is a UK legal ebike so 250W max is fine and you shouldn't increase its speed. Otherwise, you'd need an MOT, tax and insurance to ride it on the roads
How long have you had this bike for and how many miles does it have on it? The riding position and the fact that it actually has decent fenders interest me. I have just done 900 miles on a MiRider one which I love, but the motor appears to have already crapped out. Granted I'm a hard rider, and yes I've ridden it in the wet, but although it will get sorted under warranty it hasn't given me much confidence in the longevity of e-bikes in wet UK conditions.

When I put it together yesterday, I noticed they've made some improvements.
Brakes are now the right way round for the UK, new headlight, which is higher, and the charger now has a UK plug.

I just bought one used with 33 miles for 1 third the price .I was worried a little ,but it's a beast of a bike .it has wings for a 67😮 year old guy.

@Herman Hits the Road mmm I have had 4 inch tyres on same bike rack as you. Took the centre bike rail off and added a bit of guttering. Only thing too heavy for two.

I like the bike but being an older person, it seemed an effort to get up that hill even with peddle assist.
It may have been easier to get up on a lighter bike, Jerry but that hill is a killer, for me anyway

Nah UK legal ebikes are just awful for hill climbing. The extra weight of the bike is barely offset by the motor.
