    Thanks for video. Have looked everywhere to get info of bottom drain for water. your showed drain valve. I was shocked at all the negative comments regarding production, everyone has a learning curve. Thanks for taking the time.

    Thank you for your demonstration, you helped me make up my mind, I will be ordering this same compressor pretty soon.

    Here is some timing info on his video:
    Pancake ran for 8.6 seconds before running the motor, and then it took 37 seconds to refill that little tank.
    The CAT ran for 12 seconds before running the motor, and then it took 25 seconds to refill its larger tank.
    Cool :)

    They actually make a machine that's quieter than this one and I'm somewhat surprised that you didn't buy it,they have that same compressor that you just bought, but it has a fully insulated enclosed cabinet and it drops the sound from 67 decibels down to 58 decibels, nearly a full 10 DB drop and it is barely louder than a whisper.(California Air)

    Donavan, Sure does recovery faster but only sounds a bit less loud than the pancake but I’m not in the shop. What do you think of how loud it is and how it worked out for yo now that its been a few Yeats? Thank for showing us.

    great video. I just ordered a 100020C. What size hose are you running? Where you able to use the 1/4 quick connects that came in the compressor? Thanks.

      +Lee Weber I changed the fixing because everything else I have is a different style of connector. The ones on the compressor are a standard fixing. My hose reel and most of my hose and fitting are 3/8

    can you run 1/2 impact wrench on it ? can that pancake one run 1/2 impact wrench

    • @ThePretendgineer
      @ThePretendgineer 4 роки тому

      The pancake would kinda run a 1/2" impact for a very short time. You'll get a couple good hammer blows then it'll have to recharge. The CAT can absolutely run a 1/2" impact without issue.

    skip to 9:38 for the recharge comparo

    I thinking about to buy one, how many gallons do I need for a paint gun???

    • @donavanshomes
      @donavanshomes  4 роки тому

      Using a air compressor to paint is based the CFM (cubic feet per minute) so will need to check what air needed for spray gum you plan to use and compare it to the air compressor. This air compressor should be ok smaller paint guns but you will think to check to be sure.

    That does not sound quieter than pancake compressor, in fact the California air has a whine-pitch that I had to lower the volume while listening.

      For some reason his video makes them sound absolutely terrible. I personally love mine, I use it in my office and can still carry on a normal conversation without issue.

      So I guess that "oil free don't last" thing is a myth then?

    Hahaha!! Oh man... If you want to have a really good laugh, while you are watching this, pretend it is an actual diy tv show. Its so awkward and guaranteed to make you laugh. Not a very good review, but thanks for showing us how loud it is. That sounds a lot louder than what I'm looking for.

    You took the compressor out of the box, did not explain any of the connections and didn't compare it to the pan cake size one like you said you would. You need to work on your content and be more thorough if your doing a comparison . Your "thoughts" should be more than the few words you did say. I'm sorry to be critical, but your obviously very new at this. You should watch some of the more established You Tubers and see what it is they are doing to make them draw in subscribers. I'm just saying.......

      Thanks for your comment, this video did change as I was editing it was getting to long I ended up cutting a bunch. I know there are a number of things I want to work on to make better videos

      Your comment is invalid until you can show us your superior content editing capabilities. Until then, this video did great showing a comparison of a conventional compressor and the California in an echoey shop. People like me need videos like this to help them know if the product is for them.
      And he is more 'established' than you ;)

      Bro, it's an air compressor not the NASA Shuttle Challenger. What's there to explain???? I think 98% of people are hear to see how loud it is.

    • @crossgrainwoodproductsltd9230
      @crossgrainwoodproductsltd9230 7 років тому +3

      I was expecting a side by side comparison like most caparison videos. I have a pancake compressor that is oiless and I didn't hear whether the California is or isn't oiless. I'll just have to watch a more in depth video, because I do want a California since they are supposed to be quieter. Up til now I have only used cordless guns and 3 different size air guns came with the Porter & Cable pancake compressor.So It may not be "rocket science" to you Tec 9. and its Miss, not bro.

      CrossGrain Wood Products,LTD All small compressors are oilless. That's common sense.
