Buongiorno mi chiamo Mimmo, scrivo dall'Italia, il suo video è stato di grande aiuto per smontare lo specchietto retrovisore; le volevo chiedere se possibile mettere i sottotitoli in italiano; perché ho smontato molte volte il mio specchietto sinistro, non avendo il bicchiere nuovo che copre il motorino (poiché rotto nei due dentini) ho provato a bloccarlo con due piccole viti, ma dopo molti tentativi è come se l'ngranaggio non pesca bene e no fa muovere lo specchietto; c è un trucco per fare funzionare lo specchio o devo comprare per forza il bicchiere nuovo che copre il motorino; in caso dove posso comprare questo ricambio di bicchiere copri motorino? Grazie
could you please give the instructions in english.i have also problem with the drivers foldaway mirror, it does not work at all. you simply replaced the motor pocket? thanx
In my case the motor worked but cracked when folded out as you can hear at the beginning. I bought a new motor but didn't help. So i found out that the pins of the pocket were broken. Replacement solved this problem. They are also used in older X5 BMW's. Hope I could help. What country are you from?
from Athens, Greece. i will try open mine following your video and see what i can find. if i find out that i have the same problem , where did you find the motor pocket ? ebay? should i search for folding mirror motor or sth? thanx

search EBAY for BMW X5 Mirror Repair Kit. You will find copmlete sets and also the pocket separately
