During and even after their series run, the Eds had cameos in other cartoons, mostly as part of larger crossovers. They had a non-speaking role in the Foster's episode Eddie Monster, where they and Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory are drawn in the show's style. Double-D, along with other classic Cartoon Cartoons, cameos in Once Upon a Toon, a segment of the CN MAD series, as well as the Crossover Nexus episode of OK KO. Which also had characters briefly take the form of the Eds in their Monster Party episode. Eddy and Jimmy make a quick appearance in the Villainous episode The Missing Files of Elmore, which is actually centered around Gumball. The show is mentioned in Craig of the Creek's Kelsey The Elder, in a list of shows Craig and friends are too young to know about. Which, heresy! Get these kids in front of HBO Max, stat! Jonny and Plank are fighting the corruption in Come and Learn With Pibby, and Plank The College Years was a segment on Robot Chicken. The Eds make brief appearances in the Warner Brothers one-hundredth Anniversary Teen Titans GO episode. And are seen on Uncle Grandpa's list in the Steven Universe episode Say Uncle. As part of Cartoon Network Invaded, the culdesac being abducted is shown in the My Gym Partner's a Monkey episode That Darn Platypus, which aired next. And in the original credits of Billy And Mandy's contribution, Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon, Plank is shown as an undercover operative of the aliens, and that they've abducted Ed. But their most major appearance, or at least where the Eds actually have speaking roles, was their scene in the opening of The Grim Adventures of The Kids Next Door, which also has a parody poster in the credits featuring Mandy in place of Eddy. There were other network crossovers, but we'll get to those next.
