Best part of Nolan was his demeanor(like a gunslinger) and he just waited on Robin to run at him then put him straight into the headlock. Not even sure how you put a guy in a headlock when he is running hard at you but he damn sure did!

Best MLB fight of all time was in 1984 when the Braves played the Padres in Atlanta. Pascal Perez hits Alan Wiggens to lead off the game. There were three separate brawls during the game with 13 players getting ejected and five fans being arrested.

O.K. That was a good one. But the fight that started at 2nd base between Rougned Odor and Jose Bautista was a trophy punch. Cocky Jose tried to bully Rougned, got his clocked popped. May 17, 2016. But if can see the fans, their expressions were timeless. Or 10 cent beer night in Cleveland June 4, 1974 Google them!😆😆😆

Puig is the best fake-tough guy I have ever witnessed on a baseball diamond. He challenges, then waits until several people are either "in his way or restraining him" and then (safely) goes ape shit pretending he would certainly cause destruction if only he could overcome all the peacemakers in his way. I've seen it happen with him over and over.

The great Nolan Ryan was never a finalist in a Mr Personality contest. He was a quintessential "Red Ass" on average, on his start day's he took it to the next level. He had one detail about every opposing batter that he hated, and used it for an edge. Everything from how a guy tied his shoes, how another ate sunflower seeds, a middle name, someone's sideburns, the fact you had a mother and father! Over a couple decades no batter considered a trip to Ryan's mound, except one. Robin Ventura Produced, Directed, and Starred in "Nolan's Knuckles, Enough Said". I've seen the video numerous times over the years, and I still expect Nolan too finish him off with a strong spanking and a power wedgie!

I remember a fight many years ago when Jack Clark was with the Giants and they were in St.Louis playing the Cardinals. Jack slid into second pretty hard on Ozzie Smith to break up a DP. As the play was over, Clark was laying on top of Ozzie's foot. Ozzy gave him a little kick, I guess to get him off or let him know he didn't appreciate the slide, either way Clark got up and starting scuffling with Smith. The benches cleared and what I will always remember is the Giants rightfielder Candy Maldonado coming in from the outfield and going over the top of the pile with his fist forward toward someone on the Cardinals ( I don't know who) but he looked like Superman flying over the top parallel to the ground with his fist forward. It was my daughter's first major league game and she loved the fight more than the game, I believe.

8-20-1990- Lenny Dykstra strikes out in the 5th inning on a bad call by the Umpire. At his next at-bat in the 7th, he complains again, but Dodger catcher Rick Dempsey takes exception to this and jumps him. Rick is 40, Lenny is 25(26?). Thank you for the video. Growing up watching baseball all through the decades of the 80s and 90s, players of the game we’re not this sensitive. You could stand there and watch and admire your home run and players would not stand there like babies and throw fits that you were admiring your homerun and want to fight you and throw pictures at you. It’s just gotten out of hand and ridiculous and sports. These guys make tons of money and it’s part of the game, it’s part of sports and rivalries. People are going to admire homeruns people are going to gloat, just take it like a man and stop acting like babies. Life is not fair and the world is not fair, not everybody is going to accommodate you that everybody is going to hit a home run run around the bases and look down to the ground because they don’t wanna look you in the eye and piss you off. Absolute bunch of snowflakes, none of them should even be playing this game when they act this way.

Oh, gosh, not another “back in my day” moron… pimping home runs was not a thing back in the 80’s and 90’s, at least not to the extent that it is today. Griffey took a sec to admire, Sosa hopped out of the box as soon as it was hit, McGuire might admire for a bit if at all, there was nothing like there is today. Not to say pitchers aren’t being overly sensitive to the issue, because they are for sure, but it has nothing to do with being snow flakes and guys being tougher back then, get over that nonsense already.

Babe Ruth pointed to where the ball was going to land. He then proceeded to hit it there. Who can forget Reggie Jackson twice hitting 3 home runs back to back in two separate uniforms? These players are from the "time out" generation. Players from the "I got my ass busted when I needed it" generation didn't act this way. Just look at America today. It's not my fault. Zero accountability. Hammering Hank watched many leave the field, as well he should have. He was the GOAT. Perfect without the roids.

Great story, bro….not sure how it relates to the subject at hand, but good observations nonetheless.

@@tagg People getting pissed about the pompous acts that great players commit when emotions run high. They are human and the GOATS deliver more times than not. It's entertainment. Todays players are the coddled youth of today. They cry foul instead of saying nice hit or nice pitch. Most who appeared to be enemies on the field were slammin' beers together after the game.

The 1st game I talked about on April 7th was in Pittsburgh and that is the Allegheny river behind PNC Park. The remaining games I talk about took place in Cincinnati.
