Best part of Nolan was his demeanor(like a gunslinger) and he just waited on Robin to run at him then put him straight into the headlock. Not even sure how you put a guy in a headlock when he is running hard at you but he damn sure did!
Best MLB fight of all time was in 1984 when the Braves played the Padres in Atlanta. Pascal Perez hits Alan Wiggens to lead off the game. There were three separate brawls during the game with 13 players getting ejected and five fans being arrested.

He challenges, then waits until several people are either "in his way or restraining him" and then (safely) goes ape shit pretending he would certainly cause destruction if only he could overcome all the peacemakers in his way. I've seen it happen with him over and over.
Little Rougned Odor clocking Toronto loudmouth Jose Bautista is my all-time favorite. His knees buckled like he got hit with a Mike Tyson uppercut. Bautista had one of the biggest shoulder chips in baseball.
I enjoy every single time a fight breaks out on the diamond! But I'm 100% with you on this!! That is without a doubt the most satisfying . Only two players Machado and Yasa Puig are bigger POS than Bastista.
The great Nolan Ryan was never a finalist in a Mr Personality contest. He was a quintessential "Red Ass" on average, on his start day's he took it to the next level. He had one detail about every opposing batter that he hated, and used it for an edge. Everything from how a guy tied his shoes, how another ate sunflower seeds, a middle name, someone's sideburns, the fact you had a mother and father! Over a couple decades no batter considered a trip to Ryan's mound, except one. Robin Ventura Produced, Directed, and Starred in "Nolan's Knuckles, Enough Said". I've seen the video numerous times over the years, and I still expect Nolan too finish him off with a strong spanking and a power wedgie!
I remember a fight many years ago when Jack Clark was with the Giants and they were in St.Louis playing the Cardinals. Jack slid into second pretty hard on Ozzie Smith to break up a DP. As the play was over, Clark was laying on top of Ozzie's foot. Ozzy gave him a little kick, I guess to get him off or let him know he didn't appreciate the slide, either way Clark got up and starting scuffling with Smith. The benches cleared and what I will always remember is the Giants rightfielder Candy Maldonado coming in from the outfield and going over the top of the pile with his fist forward toward someone on the Cardinals ( I don't know who) but he looked like Superman flying over the top parallel to the ground with his fist forward. It was my daughter's first major league game and she loved the fight more than the game, I believe.

A fight I liked was Baltimore and Seattle. Mussina hit Bill Haselman, and a huge fight broke out. the fight lasted about 7 to 10 minutes. Cal Ripken almost had to sit out the next game because of it. Had that happened, he would had broken Lou Gehrig's record of most consecutive games played.

Mariners-Brewers 8/20/1990 was a great fight as well, Bob Sebra hit Mariner Tracy Jones with a pitch, jones started out to the mound but catcher BJ Surhoff cut him off and they got into it...Kevin Mitchell got into it with someone from Milwaukee, and even Randy Johnson got inthe middle of it...everytime it got settled down another fight would start up

Admittedly it was mostly a one-sided fight, but my favorite is when Robin Ventura thought it was a good idea to rush the mound with Nolan Ryan standing there waiting to teach Robin to respect your elders.
@thenewschmoo ...Bottom line, Ventura was embarrassed and humiliated in front of millions of viewers. Ventura was outmatched. Whether you believe any punches "landed" or not, he was put in a headlock by a guy twice his age, which is considered old in sports, and given some good old noogies..
Pedro dumping Zim, every time. Imagine a coach targeting a star player to shake up the odds if that player gets suspended or hurt, only to get 'tossed' himself.
Nolan Ryan cattle punching Robin Ventura. Best basebrawl ever. Nolan was 46 and Ventura was 26. Nolan whupped up on him. Don't mess with a Texas cattle rancher.

Absolute bunch of snowflakes, none of them should even be playing this game when they act this way.
Oh, gosh, not another “back in my day” moron… pimping home runs was not a thing back in the 80’s and 90’s, at least not to the extent that it is today.
