- Ford has added a new version of the EcoSport, hoping to attract the attention of customers in a segment that is extremely competitive and has seen a number of new launches.
The EcoSport SE is priced below the top-of-the-line S variant and is unique in the lineup for its European-market-inspired rear design. It ditches the tailgate-mounted spare wheel but is the same as the other variants of the EcoSport otherwise. Does this make the SUV a better competitor to the popular Kia Sonet? Abhishek finds out.

1. Pit Ford's Diesel against any other engine - its better - both in terms of refinement, and performance. the comfort of ford's diesel is unmatched, no leg pain unlike petrol cars.
2. Warranty - 5/6 years warranty on Ford remains unmatched by any other co.
3. Safety and Build quality - unmatched, check the GNCAP ratings and accident stories.
4. On Road price - value for money.
now I do not understand if you put the video in praise of Kia and tried to hide these points ...its like disrespecting ECOsport in a very subtle manner, thinkg that fans would not be able to make it.
A piece of advice - please up your professionalism - increase your knowledge of car reviews, do not present a road side tea stall's discussion of cars.

Sonet is no way near to ecosport in the driving department. Be it the ride and handling or the confidence at high speeds..😊
Ecosport petrol engine is much better than nexon , sonet petrol engines .... i choose ecosport over sonet or venue ...
The Ford ecosport design is unique only because of the rear spare wheel. I can't digest with this tail less ecosport

I don't know how ford designers have come up with ecosport design but it still looks so sportier,smarter, modern n muscular as compared to its rivals.

Base nd mid variant s of ecosport still looks the best
Point to be no noted is that base nd mid variant of ecosport gets an 1.5 NA petrol engine..while the competition gets 1.2 😂..which is only good enough to cross an entry level hatch
I won EcoSport Sports Model Feb 2021 and i love the tailgate-Mounted Spare wheel - Ecosport is the king of this segment
Is it me only or anyone else feels he has to adjust his seat height ?
For better visibility? Even if he did raise the seat height, the steeply raked, thick A-pillars would (and do) block the view ahead, especially when taking corners.
@@CarWale as it was mentioned in the review that the outward visibility is not very good @ 3:54 , thats what for I felt the guy had to lift the sit up.
Else the review is great and quiet helpful.
Yet adjustable seat height is available in sonnet only on the top trim. My experience on sonnet's road visibility was completely opposite (it was bad) much better in Ecosport..
Felt the review was biased with more stress on the word BUT after every point on ES

I own ecosport. Its best in class riding comfort in this segment. But many find connected features, apps etc these days which ecosport lags far behind. We cant find fault with people who opt for venue or sonet. Ford should update , do some design tweaks to show some visual changes. However i have no issues whatsoever with my ecosport. Awesome vehicle.
Ecosport is driver oriented and no other compact suv comes even close. Throw ecosport a curvy road and it brings a smile on your face. I bet Venue or Sonet can never do that😂😂

No car can protect from collisions at such speeds. And ford isn't a Volvo or merc to save someone at those speeds

@@kaustubhdange9400 no what I meant was crashing @120 speeds and get survived are due to pure luck. Not even the cars like the aforementioned 5 times expensive are capable of doing that. Thank god everyone is safe! It's all sheer luck!
Any cars in this price range will be crumbled in 80+ speeds only. Ecosport isn't any special in that matter of fact.
PS: personally I like ecosport but there's lot of myth floating around about safety thing

I love those alloys on ecosport se although do not like the fact they have done away with rear mounted wheel as that’s the uniqueness of ecosport for years now!!For the purists And enthusiasts ecosport is the best impact suv available in India for Cosmetics it’s the Kia sonet !!Ecosport in terms of driving dynamics and handling is far ahead of the competition!!Its a drivers delight

The large fog lamp housing of the Ford spoils the front look. The good looking grill doesn't stand out.

For Eco sport where my vote goes to... My decision go for the Ford with spare wheel absolutely....by mustang fan...
At 2:34, the Ecosport doesn't look "too long in there tooth". Infact, we are peppered by these"auto" reviews, which prod us to think that it is old, but it isn't, yet!
We'll atleast 'we' mean that it has aged gracefully.
Outward visibility is not good because of your height; no offense but i do own this and have clear outward visibility
I'm 5'9, which is average height.and even for shorter people one can adjust the seat height but that wasn't my point. Visibility due to cabin and dashboard design is more restricted as compared to the sonet, which will be better for new drivers.
Any day any time Ford ecosport is the best...

sonet can not take the place of eco sport
all the ecosport really seems to offer is "ride & handling" which fanbois swear by. but shockingly it can't match its competitors' performance, both petrol and diesel.
ecosport titanium 1.0 is not fuel efficiency it will drink gas for 5.5km per liter in mild traffic

I’m saying because I’ve experienced it. Any Ecosport fanboy will talk about only one aspect ride-handling, ride-handling, ride-handling... as if this is “only one” thing a customer looks while buying a car. It is of course a good car, but backed by poor strategy. Just look at Hyundai/Kia, they are late entrants, but bang on, stormed the SUV segment. Different powertrains, petrol/diesel, whether naturally aspirated or turbo-charged, matched with different transmission options manual, IVT/CVT, DCT, IMT, Torque Converter. Thanks to them for thinking about Indian customers and giving best what they can. For Sonet looks imposing and gorgeous. It’s 1.5 CRDi diesel engine mated to 6-speed torque converter is a gem, a match made in Heaven!!! Not only this, they have thrown everything to impress customer. A superb Sound system, class NVH levels, safety features, excellent ride-handling, LED headlamps, Ventilated seats, sunroof and what not... Backed by strong and reputed group in India. A clear winner for me !!
