We have the Ecosport and Venue both in the family. I definitely prefer the Venue when it comes to city drives and looks and premium feel. But ecosport can eat sonet and venue for breakfast in highway dynamics 😄

Ecosport diesel gives more mileage than sonet. Sonet still not work in terms of look and road presents looks like kiwd brother and back side feels like very bad.

Just booked the Ecosport S Diesel after testing out the Sonet. Sonet drives well, but doesn't bring a smile on your face the way Ecosport did. That's the sheer brilliance in drive and handling that I was looking for. I can always live with two less features but cannot live with a car that's not enjoyable.
Ford still ticks all the boxes..for a driving enthusiast Safety.. Built... Sportiness.. Looks.. Decent enough features.. And a really cheap cheap service ..
If you are a consumer I have one thing to say All reviewers and I mean all reviewers only reviews top model while we consumers never thinks of buying top variant because at that price range we can get something better in base or mid range for instance SUV They say infotainment system,sunroof,air purifer,cruise control,auto climate etc is available but many of the features would not be available in mid or base variant Don't think of buying a car watching review videos if you are in a budget....test drive and get educated in all variants and user experience and even service cost If you are in a showroom don't be shy to ask them a service cost bill of a older model of that car so you can cross reference
Very well said buddy. Every reviewers are in fantasy world to showcase the gimmicks features not the reality how well does it go with your practicality and requirements of a car. I believe 4 wheelers trend are becoming a entertainment zonal than a useful utility vehicles.
Even the Car manufacturers know this hence the pricing of base model Venue & Sonet! Both these are useless, feature wise naked, and underpowered engine variants. But youtubers will say Venue, Sonet are cheaper than Nexon & Ecosport. Nexon & Ecosport base models have same engines as the top models and have decent features also.
I drove all these three car personally. In terms of quality all cars at par but in terms of performance and ride handing department its dynamic chasis, there is no match of ford EcoSport!!! It is absolutely fabulous. (IT IS THE ONLY FUN TO DRIVE CAR)
I have not driven Venue ot Sonet but have driven Ecosport and i can confidently tell Ecosport will be the best for driving. Koreans cannot match the feel and feedback of a Ford steering!
I own a venue S variant DCT, it climbs to 3 digits very quickly, but it wobbles on high speeds. There’s no confidence to drive these Koreans vehicles. I’m not sure about Kia Seltos ? Any feedback.

That's how gimmick features we Indians love, even the reviewers seems so happy about it like in the video .. that's how things gets corrupt.. now more n more gimmick feature oriented cars will come and 'driving feel' takes back seat.. vehicles are much more than gimmick features. I agree EcoSport definitely needs few updates but is still a winner for me.

I am a new bea in car thing, I just learnt the driving because I am buying one, when I thought of buying first one is kia sonet it checks everything so I pre-booked it, after that I just took test drive for Nexon and ecosport, after that things have changed for me EcoSport also check all the features which we required and that build quality driving I have not felt in kia also it's a new bea like me I don't know how about the future of sonet like service and other stuffs, so keeping it all in mind I booked ford ecosport s variant. I am happy for that and if you feel kia then buy that also good car, it's just my opinion. Also kindly consider the ford milage is good and service cost is less. In worst case if you are selling you have good market price for ford ecosport. Finally whatever you buy nowadays all cars are good so just go with your choice 🙂.

Can you actually prove that venue or sonet can carry more speed through corners by doing some timed laps in a track? I know there is a power difference between the ecosport and the korean brothers but still can you prove that they are better in a track? It's a tall claim to say something like that without any evidence.

I bought the Ecosport because it has a Torque Convertor and pretty good driving dynamics. No other CSUV comes close to it. Ecosport is ageing rather well Power wise, the 1.5 Dragon Petrol is still awesome

I have a remapped Ford Ecosport Ecoboost and it can humble the 'Venue' without even breaking a sweat. Furthermore, when you bring into perspective the lack of steering feedback and lackluster handling of the Hyundai and Kia cars, I will pick Ford anyday anytime
I really don't know why people underestimate XUV 300...believe me i drove sonet venue and XUV 300 and I was amazed by XUV 300 it is just an overkill in this segment and Mahindra's after sale service has also improved alotttttttttt
Yes i own one and its great. Boot is not my priority . Who will keep the luggage all the time. People should be practical. Also xuv300 has unique design and muscular in looks. Sadly people opt for features like air purifier, ventilated seats, etc

Yes i do think its still relevant, its looks butch in comparison to venue and sonet, it drives better, i did take a take a test drive of diesel manual sonet and i can confidently say EcoSport can run circles around a sonet. My brother is looking for a new car and he immediately said that the seating position in sonet is more like a hatchback, but it's like a suv in EcoSport. Of course the sonet is new kid on the block with all the fancy features that tha aam janta is going gaga over. Its a good car no two doubts about it. I will still pick a Ecosport for diesel manual or petrol manual or petrol automatic, for diesel automatic i will purchase seltos, the top end trim will cross 15 to 16 lakhs on road for sonet and that is too much money for a cramped sub 4 metre car. My brother after checking out sonet cancelled his booking for sonet and he opted for mid variant of seltos i'e htk+.

Not a fair comparison because Sonet GTX plus diesel automatic costs Rs. 2.53 lakhs more than Ecosport Titanium Sport diesel. At Rs. 15.25 lakhs, GTX plus diesel automatic prices itself out of the sub- 4 metre CSUV segment. Comparison should have been with GTX plus diesel manual having similar engine (99 BHP) as Venue and Ecosport.
Enthusiastic driver+Ecosport=Fun guaranteed but not everyone's cup of tea! Normal drivers won't even notice what's special about the Ford. Needless to say, it's the Ecosport Diesel for my liking over the competition, although all other cars are good too !!
For me having or not having the reach and rake adjustment for the steering is extremely important. It might seem like a minor feature, but it's really helpful in getting a very good comfortable driving position..which is why I'd never go for the Sonet despite all the plus points it has

@@vaishalidevare437 well it totally depends upon what you need, if you want a sporty fun to drive csuv than hands down ecosport diesel manual trans is the way to go, if you have narrowed down to petrol automatic only, then you can take a peek at DCT trans offered by Venue and Sonet which sits a notch about in performance with combined mileage of 11 or 12kmpl, still ecosport AT 1.5 is a better contender with its CVT transmission and is worthy enough to consider with a combined mileage of 14kmpl, maintenance wise ecosport is cheaper too compared to other csuv's, you won't regret choosing ecosport considering most of the competitors offer more or less the same mileage if mileage is the only concern for you.
I test-drove the Nexon and the Venue (also the Nissan Kicks and the Hi20) - While the Nexon took a beating on the sportiness of the engine, the Venue disappointed me with a steering that didn't give me any confidence (not to mention that my wife hated how cramped the rear seats were). 3 digit speeds were a nightmare in it! I waited for the Sonet for a long time - thinking it would have better drivability and a more planted driving experience, and that it would offer 'competitive prices'. I had readied my mind to compromise on the practicality that the Nexon gave - 60:40 split, better rear space, illuminated glovebox and so on, and embrace the so-called 'gimmick' features that the Sonet had. Sonet GTX+ wasn't priced as per my expectations. But right before I went for the Nexon halfheartedly (mostly due to the utter lack of clarity from the dealership end, due to which I started wondering how I'd trust them with service) I saw the Titanium S Diesel. No compromise on practicality or rear space (I don't know what tapes you are using, but I found the Ecosport, with its scooped up seats, far better than the Koreans), and a really fun engine, too! I had never done overtaking so confidently before. It was love at first drive. Taking delivery today.
Venue n Sonet ticks all d boxes fr me❤️... Guys now a days there's a lot of hate going on in d comments section... I get we should support our Indian brand , but not by spreading hate... India needs global MNCs to invest more and more which is why we need all dese companies... It's better for us to have so many choices now a days which carter every individual's requirements..So there won't be any monopoly.. Nexon is a great car but however I personally don't find the looks at the back matching to the rest brilliantly designed car ... N it's also the higher variants lack many features and it's also more expensive too quite a lot actually when compared to the counterparts... while it definitely is a force to reckon with when it comes to safety but I don't think anyof dese cars are less safer ....might not be better than nexon but not bad too..There are "No Bad Cars nowadays" .... There are "Good cars" and "slightly less good cars" ... ❤️ U can't go wrong with either of dese.

It is based on one of the world’s best chassis, the old Ford Fiesta’s one. Probably the only magazine which doesn’t accept that Fords are the best handling in any segment.

It’s great to have motorsport expertise but even a layman knows how good the Ecosport handles and having driven the venue and experiencing its understeer nature, even without any motorsport experience I can confidently say that the Ecosport can take corners with much more speed than the venue and since the sonet is based on the venue, I can come to a conclusion to an extent that it can’t beat the time set by the Ecosport.

Sonet my have a better transmission with the dual clutch or even a great turbo engine and great set of features but when it comes to handling it is the ecosport which is better. No two ways about it.
Not sure what this dude is talking about. I own a 2020 ecosport and I still recall back then when I booked it, i made a visit to the hundai showroom just to checkout their vehicle, the executives were trying to convince me to go for venue but when I told them I already gave token for ecosport the hyundai guy couldn't convince me anymore and agreed it is the better vehicle and then he shifted gears and started to suggest me to go for creta instead. Such is the superiority of ecosport where even the competitors respects your choice.

brother i am truck driver and i driven ecosport for 400 km in 15 ltr only My speed was between 80 to 90 kmph literally if we drives any vehical properly it gives proper mileage my mileage was 26 kmpl at that time and you won't belive i got 75kmpl mileage with my activa 125 bs6

I bought my Venue 3 months ago as I could not wait for Sonet's release. But now as I see. I got my Venue SX Optional Turbo ( High end ) for 12.8 Lakhs on Road and Sonet is well ahead as expected but, the high end with 6 airbags is costing a lot more than Venue, I think it will go up to 14-15 lakhs range for on road. If Kia was not a sister company of Hyundai. Venue would have been severely undercut by Sonet and taken the market by storm. Honestly speaking. Kia Sonet is being over priced just to protect his brother Venue. I suggest if you are going for Sonet, wait till the price drops. If u are okay with Venue's boxy look then still it is a great car !

Ecosport might not be having all the bells and whistles, but let’s face it - how much of it one really uses? Ecosport is one handsome looking SUV and not an overgrown hatchback. It has a road presence which is more rugged than lipstick-laden. It’s a niche which is beyond commercially acceptable have-it-all cars (No, I won’t call them SUVs). It’s the Bullet of compact SUV space - Its a feeling which only a enthusiast (a term now used for real drivers) can understand. It’s a DSLR in the hands of a photographer- It’s no point-and-shoot! No doubt we are called Fanboys! Food for thought- If keen drivers are enthusiasts, what are other drivers called?!

Very disappointing that you failed to compare the side profiles of the car. The side profile of the Ecosport has a SUV like stance whereas the Sonet looks like a car. I was hoping for a side by side comparison to check this out but yeah the video was otherwise good

For avid driving enthusiasts the features, interior quality etcbwill not matter much and hence I would still prefer Ford over the Koreans for its high speed stability and steering response. Have you ever had a thought why people still buy Mahindra Thar or Duster. Also people still buy a Ferrari even though it doesn't have rear leg space or seats itself.
@@SuyashKaul Yes that's true duster has lost its sheen nowdays as it can't compete with the rivals in the cabin quality,features and also the diesel variant has been discontinued due to new emission norms. Although the driving dynamics and suspension tune are still retained in the 1.3 Turbo P model, but as you rightly said it will surely struggle as we have other options in that segment now.
Ford just needs better interior and a more powerful engine. I can't stand how fugly the Venue looks and Sonet doesn't have a manual, so I would still prefer a Ecosport
Sonet also gets 1.5 CRDI diesel engine like the venue but the turbo is fixed geometry in the manual and variable geometry turbo in automatic.Any way your prefered car is great.
I didnt buy Ecosport bcoz I heard Ford has high maintenance costs and there were news regarding Ford leaving India. And fyi, ecosport costs 1 lakh more than venue and sonet mid range model
Eco sport no doubt is best in the segment but not much people have purchased sonet i say give sonet a try and surely it will not let u down feature wise look wise driving wise i personally have purchased sonet 1.0turbo dct top model and it is a beast 👍

That's how gimmick features we Indians love, even the reviewers seems so happy about it like in the video .. that's how things gets corrupt.. now more n more gimmick feature oriented cars will come and 'driving feel' takes back seat.. vehicles are much more than gimmick features. I am a new bea in car thing, I just learnt the driving because I am buying one, when I thought of buying first one is kia sonet it checks everything so I pre-booked it, after that I just took test drive for Nexon and ecosport, after that things have changed for me EcoSport also check all the features which we required and that build quality driving I have not felt in kia also it's a new bea like me I don't know how about the future of sonet like service and other stuffs, so keeping it all in mind I booked ford ecosport s variant. I am happy for that and if you feel kia then buy that also good car, it's just my opinion. Also kindly consider the ford milage is good and service cost is less. In worst case if you are selling you have good market price for ford ecosport. Finally whatever you buy nowadays all cars are good so just go with your choice 🙂.

I know there is a power difference between the ecosport and the korean brothers but still can you prove that they are better in a track? Yes i own one and its great. Boot is not my priority . Who will keep the luggage all the time. People should be practical. Also xuv300 has unique design and muscular in looks. Sadly people opt for features like air purifier, ventilated seats, etc

Yes i do think its still relevant, its looks butch in comparison to venue and sonet, it drives better, i did take a take a test drive of diesel manual sonet and i can confidently say EcoSport can run circles around a sonet. My brother is looking for a new car and he immediately said that the seating position in sonet is more like a hatchback, but it's like a suv in EcoSport. Of course the sonet is new kid on the block with all the fancy features that tha aam janta is going gaga over. Its a good car no two doubts about it. I will still pick a Ecosport for diesel manual or petrol manual or petrol automatic, for diesel automatic i will purchase seltos, the top end trim will cross 15 to 16 lakhs on road for sonet and that is too much money for a cramped sub 4 metre car. My brother after checking out sonet cancelled his booking for sonet and he opted for mid variant of seltos i'e htk+.

Not a fair comparison because Sonet GTX plus diesel automatic costs Rs. 2.53 lakhs more than Ecosport Titanium Sport diesel. At Rs. 15.25 lakhs, GTX plus diesel automatic prices itself out of the sub- 4 metre CSUV segment. Comparison should have been with GTX plus diesel manual having similar engine (99 BHP) as Venue and Ecosport.

For me having or not having the reach and rake adjustment for the steering is extremely important. It might seem like a minor feature, but it's really helpful in getting a very good comfortable driving position..which is why I'd never go for the Sonet despite all the plus points it has

@@vaishalidevare437 well it totally depends upon what you need, if you want a sporty fun to drive csuv than hands down ecosport diesel manual trans is the way to go, if you have narrowed down to petrol automatic only, then you can take a peek at DCT trans offered by Venue and Sonet which sits a notch about in performance with combined mileage of 11 or 12kmpl, still ecosport AT 1.5 is a better contender with its CVT transmission and is worthy enough to consider with a combined mileage of 14kmpl, maintenance wise ecosport is cheaper too compared to other csuv's, you won't regret choosing ecosport considering most of the competitors offer more or less the same mileage if mileage is the only concern for you.

I test-drove the Nexon and the Venue (also the Nissan Kicks and the Hi20) - While the Nexon took a beating on the sportiness of the engine, the Venue disappointed me with a steering that didn't give me any confidence (not to mention that my wife hated how cramped the rear seats were). 3 digit speeds were a nightmare in it! I waited for the Sonet for a long time - thinking it would have better drivability and a more planted driving experience, and that it would offer 'competitive prices'. I had readied my mind to compromise on the practicality that the Nexon gave - 60:40 split, better rear space, illuminated glovebox and so on, and embrace the so-called 'gimmick' features that the Sonet had. Sonet GTX+ wasn't priced as per my expectations.
But right before I went for the Nexon halfheartedly (mostly due to the utter lack of clarity from the dealership end, due to which I started wondering how I'd trust them with service) I saw the Titanium S Diesel. No compromise on practicality or rear space (I don't know what tapes you are using, but I found the Ecosport, with its scooped up seats, far better than the Koreans), and a really fun engine, too! I had never done overtaking so confidently before. It was love at first drive. Taking delivery today.

Venue n Sonet ticks all d boxes fr me❤️... Guys now a days there's a lot of hate going on in d comments section... I get we should support our Indian brand , but not by spreading hate... India needs global MNCs to invest more and more which is why we need all dese companies... It's better for us to have so many choices now a days which carter every individual's requirements..So there won't be any monopoly.. Nexon is a great car but however I personally don't find the looks at the back matching to the rest brilliantly designed car ... N it's also the higher variants lack many features and it's also more expensive too quite a lot actually when compared to the counterparts... while it definitely is a force to reckon with when it comes to safety but I don't think anyof dese cars are less safer ....might not be better than nexon but not bad too..There are "No Bad Cars nowadays" .... There are "Good cars" and "slightly less good cars" ... ❤️ U can't go wrong with either of dese.

Ecosport may not be the fastest around corners? It posted a 2:19 around MMRT with Narian Karthikeyan behind the wheel. Name one other compact SUV which could do the same? It is based on one of the world’s best chassis, the old Ford Fiesta’s one. Probably the only magazine which doesn’t accept that Fords are the best handling in any segment.

It’s great to have motorsport expertise but even a layman knows how good the Ecosport handles and having driven the venue and experiencing its understeer nature, even without any motorsport experience I can confidently say that the Ecosport can take corners with much more speed than the venue and since the sonet is based on the venue, I can come to a conclusion to an extent that it can’t beat the time set by the Ecosport.

Sonet my have a better transmission with the dual clutch or even a great turbo engine and great set of features but when it comes to handling it is the ecosport which is better. No two ways about it.

I own a 2020 ecosport and I still recall back then when I booked it, i made a visit to the hundai showroom just to checkout their vehicle, the executives were trying to convince me to go for venue but when I told them I already gave token for ecosport the hyundai guy couldn't convince me anymore and agreed it is the better vehicle and then he shifted gears and started to suggest me to go for creta instead.
Such is the superiority of ecosport where even the competitors respects your choice.

brother i am truck driver and i driven ecosport for 400 km in 15 ltr only My speed was between 80 to 90 kmph literally if we drives any vehical properly it gives proper mileage my mileage was 26 kmpl at that time and you won't belive i got 75kmpl mileage with my activa 125 bs6

I bought my Venue 3 months ago as I could not wait for Sonet's release. But now as I see. I got my Venue SX Optional Turbo ( High end ) for 12.8 Lakhs on Road and Sonet is well ahead as expected but, the high end with 6 airbags is costing a lot more than Venue, I think it will go up to 14-15 lakhs range for on road. If Kia was not a sister company of Hyundai. Venue would have been severely undercut by Sonet and taken the market by storm. Honestly speaking. Kia Sonet is being over priced just to protect his brother Venue. I suggest if you are going for Sonet, wait till the price drops. If u are okay with Venue's boxy look then still it is a great car !

I own polo Gt tdi(typical evo audience).. if I wish to bye another one in compact suv segment. I would definitely buy ecosport. Ecosport in smoke gray is more bad ass than kia.

The DNA of the car is what matters. Koreans vs American. Ecosport tops in handling, safety and overall SUV'ish feel. What else you need in a car????? Other cars looked like they are designed by a great GAY designer(because they look more stylish than required, no offence there).

Very disappointing that you failed to compare the side profiles of the car. The side profile of the Ecosport has a SUV like stance whereas the Sonet looks like a car. I was hoping for a side by side comparison to check this out but yeah the video was otherwise good

For avid driving enthusiasts the features, interior quality etcbwill not matter much and hence I would still prefer Ford over the Koreans for its high speed stability and steering response. Have you ever had a thought why people still buy Mahindra Thar or Duster. Also people still buy a Ferrari even though it doesn't have rear leg space or seats itself.
Bro, no one buys Duster or even it's better equipped brother Kicks even after the introduction of turbo petrol.
@@SuyashKaul Yes that's true duster has lost its sheen nowdays as it can't compete with the rivals in the cabin quality,features and also the diesel variant has been discontinued due to new emission norms. Although the driving dynamics and suspension tune are still retained in the 1.3 Turbo P model, but as you rightly said it will surely struggle as we have other options in that segment now.
Brainy people will go for EcoSport.. and indians will go fot gimmick jukebox aka venue/sonet
Ford just needs better interior and a more powerful engine. I can't stand how fugly the Venue looks and Sonet doesn't have a manual, so I would still prefer a Ecosport
Sonet also gets 1.5 CRDI diesel engine like the venue but the turbo is fixed geometry in the manual and variable geometry turbo in automatic.Any way your prefered car is great.
I didnt buy Ecosport bcoz I heard Ford has high maintenance costs and there were news regarding Ford leaving India. And fyi, ecosport costs 1 lakh more than venue and sonet mid range model
Common dude ford ecosports is best in this segment.. venue and sonet seems to be more crossovers rather then compact SUV.
Eco sport no doubt is best in the segment but not much people have purchased sonet i say give sonet a try and surely it will not let u down feature wise look wise driving wise i personally have purchased sonet 1.0turbo dct top model and it is a beast 👍
Would still pick the Ecosport anyday!
