Hi thr, Many thanks for talking abt this. One thing that I have never seen people doing in my 15 years of corporate experience is talking to a psychologist at work. Their toxic or pleasant behaviors never got discussed with anyone unfortunately. I am an aspirant in this study,so I am genuinely interested in knowing what opportunities there are for earning if at all I materialize this dream.

Thank you for making this video. It was very informative but without giving me the anxiety/information fatigue that I get when I go to the websites (like SIOP). I do have a couple of questions, tho. I'm interested in DEI, so would like to know if (1) I/O Psychologists also work in this area, and (2) if so, what do they do? Also, even though I understood what your occupation is, I have a hard time envisioning what is a day of work like for you? Say, you get to work and do exactly what (on a generalized daily basis)? This turned out to be a lot of questions (and quite personal) so I'll understand if you can't answer (lol). Still liked the content and appreciated it.
Great video, really interesting! I’m going to be finishing up my degree in HR Management soon. I’m currently working as an entry level HR Associate, but in 2022 my company is starting a new position of Recruiting Manager and I’m in line for the promotion. Do you have any book recs for this area?

Hi! I recently graduated with my BA in Psychology and I am interested in pursuing my Masters in I/O. Do you think the grad school/program you attend matters when applying for I/O positions in the workplace?
Soooo glad I found your channel. I’m interested in IO Psych but not many people post about their experiences! Was it hard to find clients or do you work for a big company? And I’m sure living in a bigger city is necessary for this type of occ?

Hi, dear! Thank you for the wonderful video! Do you also mind sharing: Would pursuing a non-BPS-accredited Masters Degree in Organisational Psychology make a difference in landing consultancy jobs? Especially if your bachelors was from a different field, not psychology.
I found this video to be extremely beneficial for my own understanding of this career! I've always had an interest in pursuing i/o psychology. i'm about to be a high school graduate. would you say that your job salaries were satisfactory? and are there a lot of job opportunities as an i/o psych without a phd?
Yes I think the salaries are definitely satisfactory! I got into this in the video, but if you're open to working in some facet of HR, there are a good amount of jobs.
thank you! this was very helpful as im currently looking into this now. What would you think abot an already practicing licensed counselor who has a MA in clinical psyche, going and getting a graduate certificate in I/O Psyche?
That's it, I'm going all in into a master's level I-O Psych program. I wanted to go into a cognitive psych program but there are no master's level cognitive psych programs in my area (or anywhere for that matter. If there are, let me know). I have one question, should I take business courses since I'm still in undergrad?
I am trying to identify how an I/O Psychologist might bring value to a hospital. I've only ever worked in healthcare (Not the Pharmaceutical Industry) within hospitals or clinics. Considering going to school for I/O Psych.
Interesting! All of the jobs I mentioned are also within healthcare organizations, but if you’re more interested in doing research on the topic then may be a PhD would be a bit be a better idea. Good luck!

Did you end up finding something that works?
@@ariana2523 Not yet! With the economy as it is, I'm still saving to have a better cushion before pursuing grad school. And even now I'm still not fully decided on IO vs LCSW. Even with this comment the LCSW dream has kept coming back to me -- I've been wondering if it IS possible to strike a balance and do both macro and micro work.
@@BaritoneMonkey Thank you for the reply (:
I suggest this book ( Habits, wisdom and mindset of highly successful people 2020) available on Amazon and kindle
Hi thr, Many thanks for talking abt this. One thing that I have never seen people doing in my 15 years of corporate experience is talking to a psychologist at work. Their toxic or pleasant behaviors never got discussed with anyone unfortunately. I am an aspirant in this study,so I am genuinely interested in knowing what opportunities there are for earning if at all I materialize this dream.
so glad i found your content! i'd love to implement elements of IO psychology into my work as a digital strategy consultant, without going back to school for 5+ years...any tips ? any good in depth geeky courses i could follow ? thank you so much for your help!
Senior student and didn't know this a thing 😹
You did psych and Spanish then moved to work in Spain... you're literally me 😶😶😶
This was so informative! Thank you for making this 🙏🏽
Thank you for making this video.
Have i heard right that an io psychologist salary is highest in psychology field ?
Great content ! I’m in school for HR but I’m interested in IO PSYCHOLOGY. would you recommend to switch over to IO PSYCHOLOGY MAJOR ?
Great video, really interesting! I’m going to be finishing up my degree in HR Management soon. I’m currently working as an entry level HR Associate, but in 2022 my company is starting a new position of Recruiting Manager and I’m in line for the promotion. Do you have any book recs for this area?
Congrats! I don’t have book recommendations specifically about recruiting but I’m a huge fan of Adam Grant and he has a lot of great book recommendations so you could check those out. Good luck!
Hi! I recently graduated with my BA in Psychology and I am interested in pursuing my Masters in I/O. Do you think the grad school/program you attend matters when applying for I/O positions in the workplace?
Great question! Anyone know?
How's that education going?
Soooo glad I found your channel. I’m interested in IO Psych but not many people post about their experiences! Was it hard to find clients or do you work for a big company? And I’m sure living in a bigger city is necessary for this type of occ?
My master's degree got me a job making about $21K a year
would you consider making a video about the courses one might expect going into a general I/o psychology masters, also your personal experience in grad school. thank you!
Check out Purdue Global they list that.
Hi! It varies a ton program to program so I would recommend just searching specific grad programs. A lot list this courses online.
👋hi, I think a video on presenting for others as an introvert from you would be great! I'm considering pursuing io and I am an introvert.
That's it, I'm going all in into a master's level I-O Psych program. I wanted to go into a cognitive psych program but there are no master's level cognitive psych programs in my area (or anywhere for that matter. If there are, let me know).
I have one question, should I take business courses since I'm still in undergrad?
What is the job availability for online, remote work for I/O psychologists? Maybe if you become a researcher/teacher is the best chance?
I am trying to identify how an I/O Psychologist might bring value to a hospital. I've only ever worked in healthcare (Not the Pharmaceutical Industry) within hospitals or clinics. Considering going to school for I/O Psych.
Interesting! All of the jobs I mentioned are also within healthcare organizations, but if you’re more interested in doing research on the topic then may be a PhD would be a bit be a better idea. Good luck!
