Glad they worked it out. Communication is absolutely critical for a relationship and getting through some of the worst case scenarios put in front of you. I've been with my partner 15 years, she's my best friend and I genuinely look forward to coming home to see her. We went through a pretty wild incident late last year and I ended up shot. A guy fired 9 rounds at us. I went down, her and our training as tactically trained EMTs came in immediately. We had a tourniquet started and when I asked where's the shooter she immediately drew her gun to cover me putting the tourniquet on. I was yelling for her to come back because I could never live with myself that she was hurt protecting me. I put myself between her and the shooter as soon as I heard the first round snap off past my head.
The reason I tell that is to say being in tune with your significant other is important and takes work everyday. I can see when her sleep is horrible or she's been dealing with nightmares since the shooting. I do my best to support her and let her know she's not alone in feeling like she does. I'm there to listen but also just there if she just wants to go for a walk and not say anything. No doubt this has been a challenge but I truly believe having a solid foundation of a relationship and work on yourselves can get you through most things. I love that woman to death and hope her and I can find peace after the unprovoked attack. I still blame myself for not drawing but the situation was ambiguous until the shooting started. One thing I hope and doubt she would ever say is I let her down that night. But the PTSD creeps in making me think I did.
Sorry for the rant but yes Chris is definitely in tune with Jazz. This podcast made me even more so want kids sooner rather than later. I worry the recent trauma would make it substantial harder on her.

How refreshing to hear these two talk about family and children realistically. Back to the basics.. and so relatable.
Sometimes i get the feeling that no one is positive about having children. People complain so much, and that made me talk about children less and less. Even made me think negative about having children ( i have two kids). And i loved this podcast from beginning to end with the jokes and everything. Love this so much. Thank you for being real in this invoirment.

meh, Chris has big "obese guy lost his first 8 pounds and is now telling everybody about his weight loss philosophy" vibes. Most people talking/thinking so much about such topics are often using it to rationalize something so they can ignore real reasons. And Whitney is a control freak, she wants to be the absolute perfect mom so badly that she will most likely be annoying as hell to everyone around her. But they have good chemistry because they are both overthinking everything with that super corny self-help book touch.
