- Over time, water tanks can accumulate sediment, algae, and other nasties, affecting both the taste and quality of your onboard water supply.
In this video we will show you what we did to empty and clean our tanks before refilling them with fresh water.

When you are ready to refill the tanks it would be a good idea to put a Milton sterlising tablet in the tank, fill with water leave for a day, empty and then refill again. That way, any bacteria that might have built up whilst they have been empty will be dealt with. Good video especially with Chris's little helper ⛵😍 x x

We was shocked at how clean they were but no surprised with how well she has been looked after. The old owner told Chris he had only cleaned them once in 28 years. He must treated regularly x
We put water sterilising tablets in every time we fill tanks. We’ve never opened our tank. We only use for washing. Drinking water in 5L bottles just to be on safe side as we don’t live aboard we don’t use it often enough don’t like idea of drinking stagnant water
We are definitely going to be using these tablets, we aren’t living onboard yet so we are the same using bottled water to drink at the min and we normally take pre cooked food with us like curry and stews etc when we go, x
