  • The time has finally come for me to sell my 2015 WRX. I have loved owning this car and we have done a lot of mods to make it a much better daily driver while increasing its performance, so I think we have succeeded in our original goal!
What should be my next Subaru? Maybe an STI or a VB WRX? Let me know what you would like to see next, and don't forget to subscribe to follow along with my next chapter. Thanks for watching 🤙

I really enjoyed watching all your WRX videos, it showed that it doesn't matter what year WRX it is, or how many miles are on it, you can still make it look nice and perform better. I have some better ideas on what I want to upgrade on mine now thanks to your videos and I hope you get a VB next 👍

Hey Foster, this build hit home with me as I picked up a 2016 Wrx about 6 months ago and enjoyed seeing how yours was being built. Sadly I am also parting with mine as well due to some registration issues that weren't apparent when i picked it up. Have too much love for this platform so looking into a 2018 to keep the dream going. Thanks again for the wrx content!
    Cheers!

Oh nice, I’m glad you enjoyed following along with the mods! Too bad about your registration issues but maybe it’s a sign you should make it into a track car?! I’ll definitely be back in another WRX/STI very soon :)

Sad to see it go. 😢 I'm thinking of doing the same. I have a 17WRX. I have about $15k into it. What is a good way to sell a modified car?

The best way to get your money back is to put the car back to stock and sell the aftermarket parts separate - alternatively you can sell it complete if you find the right buyer

I recently traded my ‘17 Premium for a ‘22 Premium and the new car is such a massive upgrade. Aside from all the obvious advantages that everyone talks about, my favorite thing about the VB is how solid it feels. The chassis of my VA felt like a wet noodle on uneven country roads or the autocross course. The new platform is SO much more rigid, and you notice the upgrade in everything from daily driving to hard track days.
Of course the engine is a massive upgrade as well. I spent $4600 to get me VA to 360whp/368ft-lbs. I’m at 330whp/360ft-lbs in my VB with just a GS panel filter and a $150 e30 flash tune. The cheap power frees up your budget for suspension, brakes, tires, track fees, etc.

I’d recommend a short shifter, makes the VB shifter feel soooooo much better. other than that I agree - love how the new WRX drives!

Reason he's looking at STI is because it looks like he tracks a lot from watching his videos. My husband got a STI because he tracks it and not daily. I got 23 WRX and it's comfortable daily and everyone talks about the great fa24 engine, but no one talks about the bad handling, reviewers will talk about the handling not being great but they don't elaborate. After spending $5k on coilovers, bushings, sways, wheels, and 200tw tires on our 23 WRX, it didn't handle great at Willow track, good, but not great, especially driving back to back with my husband's STI. A Subaru engineer friend was actually at the track event and he let us know why, that the new WRX is using the SUV global platform open front and open rear diff with brake vectoring, whereas my husband's STI has front LSD, center DCCD diff, and rear LSD.
