Hey man! I've been following you both on here and on Instagram since I was a baby trans 4-5 years ago. I'm really glad you feel like you can talk about your struggles with access to your transition needs and unwilling detransition, I think this is a topic that needs to be covered more frequently and loudly. You're absolutely right when you say that social media paints a perfect picture of transition. Transitions aren't always linear, I'd say more often than not they aren't, especially in the states. I'm up in Canada so I've been much, much luckier, and my heart hurts for y'all in the states who are having trouble funding and accessing what y'all need for your transition. I'm so sorry Starbucks was a dick to you at the end, that's super stupid. I hope you can find something soon, and I hope tons of people are supporting your links! I'm struggling to find a job right now so I can kinda relate? (Also my teeth are weird too, but I'm growing to love them since I probably can't afford/can't mentally or physically handle trying to "fix" them since their problems are only aesthetic. fuck societal expectations of perfect-looking teeth!!) Life goes on and we'll all be in better places one day. It's gonna get better.

I had to "detransition" from 2016- 2 weeks ago, also bc of money!! I love your content and have always been truly grateful for your visibility and your work. I feel so much better knowing im not the only guy that's been hiding out a little.

I didn't watch this forever because I thought you realized you're not trans and I was afraid of the implications of that for me because I feel like you are exactly my gender goals and I'm still trying to figure out if I want to transition. I want to hear the stories of some detransitioners because I think I should face the possibility that that will be me before I go on T but I can't find any that don't sound transphobic and condescending and I don't want to watch something that could be triggering. If you still want to hear detransitioners stories, check out Elle Palmer's videos. She talks about her journey, why she transitioned in the first place, etc.. And she doesn't sound condescending nor transphobic at all, at least for me.

I had a close friend over the internet who was FTM and had just gotten top surgery and then out of nowhere disappeared from communicating. Found out he had died.
Never did find out exactly what happened.
Really rocked my mind for a long long time. He was going to travel to the US Christmas that year you visit friends (it was like 3 months from his travel date), I had intended to ask if I could meet up even just for a day or even an hour to say hello in person. Never got around to it because it was so abrupt.
So that was kind of around the time you went dark on the web too. And I followed you with your cosplay, makeup and art page on Tumblr way back when.
So I had been concerned for you after what happened to my friend. So I'm happy that you're doing as well as you can be, too bad about that fucking Starbucks B.S.

Thank you so much for the update! I haven't been able to get on T due to finances so that's relatable as hell. Just when I was finally able to afford it, covid happened and i got laid off. So it's actually nice to hear that social media depictions of transition aren't how it always is or how it has to be to be valid. I'm glad you're back where you need to be again! I definitely would love to see a new masculine makeup video! Your first one has been a huge help for me feeling more confident especially being pre-T. I don't really understand makeup at all and you made it really simple so even a noob like me could get it which I hella appreciate. I also am curious to hear more about what you meant by like the chemical shift between being on T vs off of T. I don't want you to have to go through a depressing story, I just am curious about like the mental/emotional changes I can expect when I finally get on it myself. ascher was forced to stop testosterone 8 months into his transition due to lack of funding, so he did detransition unwillingly.
Yeah it was also for LITERALLY 3 years so it wasn’t just temporarily stopping shots, I really did like. Go all the way back to how I looked before pretty much the only lasting change was my voice. But it was totally unwilling and I’ve been back on T for over a year now. I know I’m not the easiest to follow sometimes so sorry for the confusion 💕
