The fact that Vince Gilligan wrote some of the best episodes of X-Files and also created the series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul only proves how great his potential is
Vince Gilligan had a minor rolle in the X files, compare to Chris Carter, Frank Spotnitz, and others. There is no comparison between all the richness of the X files vs. Braking Bad clitché tematic. What a Joke!!
My grandma and i never missed an episode. I can remember the premier. I was adding butter to a big bowl of popcorn as the opening theme was playing. Grandma shouted for me to hurry up, i was gonna miss the opening scene😂. It is a bittersweet memory, she passed away in 2007😢. I miss her
Definitely one of my favourite 90's TV shows of all time. Duchovny and Anderson had the best dynamic, you could never envision anyone else as Mulder or Scully.
I have their origin novels, which take place in late March and early April of 1979. As Mulder tries to solve his sister Samantha’s disappearance in _Agent of Chaos,_ _Devil’s Advocate_ shows Scully getting in over her head after a deceased classmate appears to her during gym. By chance, Mulder and Scully have a brief exchange in the former book. I’ll keep it small, but Scully didn’t want Mulder and his team disturbing the energy of the building they were in. I know its name, but I’ll keep quiet about it so both stories stay fresh should you want to read them.
Great video Watch Mojo... glad to see the one with Peter Boyle was number 1. Such a great episode, and The X Files is one of the best shows ever... Thanks every one!
I like the episode where Mulder drives the entire episode to try and save a woman with an exploding headache. And the guy who has insane luck all the time.
"Home" really freaked me out. A fellow worker was quite upset by that episode; near the end, a Johnny Mathis standard was playing. She said she never wanted to hear that song again, as it would remind her of that episode.
@@Chuck_EL Yup. No argument from me. Now I have to see if I can find that episode streaming...I think FreeVee has at least the first season, but I can't recall if "Home" was first or second season.

Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! The X-Files episodes were filmed where I used to live back in the 90s along with other TV shows like Millennium. They used to post fake TV show names where they parked RVs for actors/actresses and the film crew, to prevent the locals from visiting the site. 🤣 I remember watching the pilot episode of the X-Files while not knowing that was a paranormal based TV show.. 🤣
I started watching "The X Files" by accident. I was a fan of "Adventures of Briscoe County" and set the VCR to record it while the lovely missus and I went to dinner. We got home and I realized I recorded X Files by mistake. It was the episode with all the cloned girls, and their fathers being exsanguinated.("Eve") I watched every episode after that, and caught the first bunch on reruns when they came on.
I suppose the plot was derivitive, but I loved the episode "Monday" where Mulder and Scully are trapped in a time warp and repeat the same bank robbery over and over. I also loved "Field Trip" where they get trapped inside a killer mushroom.
“Triangle” gets my vote. I love the single camera tracking approach. I love that both leads hold court through their respective scenes. I love that there’s no breaks in the action from both the ship and the office. AND I LOVE SCULLYS HAIR THE MOST ON THIS DAMN EPISODE⚫️ Gillian was working the hell out of the camera man.

Can anyone tell me the episode where an angel with four faces or something like that comes for his half human children? I can't remember the name of that episode
Folle a Deux - office worker’s boss is a monster - Kill Switch - a cd of Twilight Time by The Platters - Soft Light - Tony Shalhoub has an unusual shadow.
Omg the episode where the townspeople got the mad cow disease-human version (or whatever) as a result of ritual cannibalism - I am still freaked out, terrified, haunted 30 years later

Good list. “Home” is the best episode of The X-Files. The absolute best! “Home” is the most fcked up.
Episodes that I think were missed- Ghost in the Machine, Erlenmeyer Flask, Ascension, ‘3’, One Breath, Die Hand Die Verletzt, Dod Kalm, F. Emascualta, Our Town, Oubliette, The Field Where I Died, Zero-Sum, Unusual Suspects, Detour, Kill Switch, The Pine Bluff Variant, Foile a Duex, The End, The Beginning, Drive, S.R. 819, Monday, Closure, Jump the Shark, The Truth, Babylon.
Squuze and Tooms are the best!
No Momento Mori? No One Breath? Bah humbug!
Personally I would have had tooms higher up just fornthe shear terror and the fact years later they check tiny vents just in case
I loved Arcadia 😂❤
Git in here and fix me a sandwich, woman! 😂 Definitely my favorite line.
Jose Chung's From Outer Space, is one of the best IMO! Mulder's scream was one of the best moments in all the series!
One of the best shows of all time. Could pull off a Top 50 for it.
Can anyone tell me the episode where an angel with four faces or something like that comes for his half human children? I can't remember the name of that episode
The unnatural is my favorite, with the black baseball team
oh no - u didnt mention s6e4-5 - when Mulder swapped minds with one guy. Thats was GOLD
Wow, so many other episodes I would’ve ranked way higher than what was on this list. But to each their own
Ghost in a Machine.
I live close to the actual Home, PA and every resident I know thinks it’s hilarious it’s one of the banned eps and it’s not even supernatural!
It is not banned.
'Squeeze' was better than 'Tooms'
It's hard to argue with CBFR being #1. Everything about that episode just locks into place beautifully. Even if it weren't my #1, my Top 10 in chronological order would be:
Ice
Beyond the Sea
Tooms
Anasazi
Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose
Pusher
Home
Small Potatoes
Monday
The Unnatural
Have I missed it on the list? I had nightmares after watching the flukeman
As a fan from the original run it's funny to see X-Cops on the list. If you were on Prospero's X-Files message board in 2000 then you would have seen a lot of fans hating on that episode.
X files was my favorite show ever and im middle aged
LOVED X-FILES! Went to 1st X-Files Convention in Chicago with a co-worker who subscribed to Fangoria [I paid for my kid's subscription 😑]
Rush and Monday absolutely deserve to be on this list somewhere
Is this half a re-upload? Because I'm sure I've heard this exact script years ago
Pusher is my top favorite of the series!!! Always will be :)
***********watching xfiles at night
**************ambience, atmosfphere, and music of the x files is 10/10
*********ice, leonard betts, 3 , irresistible, colony, finale of 6th season, firewalker, home, etc....i ll be remembering them TILL THE DAY I LL DIE
PERFECTION
Eve should be on this list
