I was excited about fabric. Didn't dig much into it. Then I started.seeing comments like it doesn't sound as good as other $500 synths. I went back to fabric and really listen. Here's my take. Fabric has room to grow. A lot users are preset warriors. So out the gate I can see why they don't like it as much. Started tweaking the sounds and I thought it was great. Still not the best but good enough. I can use it stand alone. 👏🏿👏🏿
Fabric XL is $249 by itself.

I've decided to pass on the MPC keys. Gonna stick with my MPC one, sell my microkorg XL and Minilouge XD and pick up a Kronos EX. I think that will be a good good compromise with a tonne of good quality sounds. Maybe future updates will bring different sounds and engines then I might pull the trigger on the MPC Keys.
Korg is the hardware synth king. So you are headed in the right direction

@@tyshekashay That's a nice match. I did end up buying the Krome EX. I've compared it directly to the Fabric demo and the Korg has much better quality of sound and variety imo. It cost me £560 (less than $700) in mint condition. That and the MPC one is a great pairing

Informative review. I’m assuming the settings LFOs are the same as one of them on the other page?
I use fl studio and logic on my computer.. I bought keyscape and omnispher2 for my sounds.. I also use my mpc though and been making one shots out of my sounds from omni and keyscape.. I see there’s a huge sale on akai website and now is the time to buy the plug ins for my mpc.. I don’t know which ones I wasn’t though.. I’m thinking of fabric xl for $100.. is it worth it or should I just keep with the stick plug ins and keep doing my normal making my own sounds with omni and using them like one shots? Is fabric worth it??
Hi there. Thanks for this. Only one LFO per layer is limiting, but do you know if the synth parameters are midi or cv controllable so we can use external LFOs and envelopes?

Thank you for saying it! It would be awesome if the two voices can lock together! Unfortunately with no q-link mapping to keygroups, this is the closest I can get to building a synth from the ground up using the raw oscillators…with fabric, you can map Q links, for quick access…but it’d be great if they added more oscillators & made it so you could lock envelopes, or be able to map two things to one knob? No raw sine wave? Come on!

Great Info Bruh... I Learned Something Today...Bottom Line...These New Plug ins Are Dope As Fuck and You Know They Have Update Abilities And Based On The Past, I'm Confident It Will Be Improved To Your Likings, But Like You Said.. IT'S STANDALONE and Nothing Else On The Market Comes Close... Its Like Having A Full Belly Of Goodies with this Thing... But In Controller Mode, depending on Your Computers Setup, Every Idea is Now Possible.
cannot hear audio previews or audition MP3 or other formats,
Issue: The MPC in standalone mode will not audition or load MP3, SND or REX files.
Does this plug in come with the MPC keys or you have to pay extra?
It comes with it
looking for polyphony on fabric xl on device , they dont make it easy

Just remember a sampler is a sampler it’s not a virtual synth, keep that in the back of your mind when choosing. Kronos and such because the Kronos is not a great sampler.
I repeat to all who are bashing the sounds on the mpc keys no one is putting a gun to your head to buy it

This is poor, you are comparing a limited hardware based software instrument with an unlimited VST like Omnisphere 🤷♀️
