Great Video! I, too, went to Stitch New England last fall. It was my very first retreat as well. And, I am a retired teacher! Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching, project bags and portfolios. You are a talented lady. I’m impressed with your obvious time management skills. You go girl! Happy Stitching 🧵🪡 Jacque 🐑
Hope you finish the American flag project, even if you do a partial and just make into a project bag for yourself❤ Sarah's Stitchy Spot sent us your way to say hello and welcome you to the wonderful community of stitchers! I've been cross stitching over 50 years. I can't believe that I am that old❤
That is a great idea!!! Thank you. 😊. Sarah is such a kind woman. I love to watch and l listen to her as I stitch. She is so supportive of this community.❤️
Hello Stephanie, Brandi and Emma sent me to your channel. Your use of color in the quilt blocks behind you is beautiful. Don’t give up on the flag... put it aside... then pick it up and finish it. You are so close to finishing it. I have subscribed to your channel Yeah🎉. Happy Stitching from South Carolina 😀 ann
Hello Stephanie! Welcome to Flosstube! I love your quilt in the background! Great first video and you have a great selection of WIPS, plus I love all your project keeper designs! Kudos to your girls for their help and support. I live about 20-25 minutes from Hampton Beach (Dover, NH). I know exactly which candy store you are referring to - it had the largest selection of saltwater taffy! I can't wait to meet you at the Friend's Library Retreat in April! ~~ Kara
What a wonderful floss tube!!!! I found you thanks to Brenda and Laura. I LOVE your different project portfolios, Beautiful stitching. I too love to quilt and Kimberly Jolly is addicting, not to mention expensive on the wallet.
An enjoyable video. Thus is my 1st time watching, & I loved it. Laura mentioned you, so I had to subscribe. Very nice projects & haul. Love the blue/green quilt blocks, my favorite colors. Marilyn
Congratulations on your first floss tube. I was totally entertained. Your flags are great. You may as well finish them off. You have some great wips. I like plum street too. Your next floss tube has loaded and I am looking forward to watching it. I am from Australia.
Oh my goodness…how have I not found your channel until now?! Chris TheCampingStitcher mentioned you on her Instagram post and that’s how I found you. I love seeing your stitchy projects! I live in southeastern MA and I also went to my very first stitch retreat organized by Pam from Stitch New England and I’m already signed up for the next one this October…it’s so much fun! I’m a quilter too, so I enjoy seeing your pretty quilt blocks! I’m now subscribed to your channel. Happy stitching! ❤
Love this floss tube!!! So glad I found you. I was watching "Two Needles Pulling Thread" and they mentioned you. So glad I looked you up. Keep up the great job. My only suggestion would be to back the camera up a little bit. I love your project keepers. Keep up the great job. Look forward to your next video.
Great first Flosstube, Stephanie!! My husband taught HS English for 30+ years...keep going! You are making a difference! Your quilting is lovely, too!!❤
Bravo! And what talents! I want to know more about your design wall. I think I bought the same fabric to put mine up with, but never got done. I remember getting stumped as to what to cover so I could pin blocks to it. I am recovering from major back surgery on Dec. 20th. So all I can do now is watch every one else stitch. My daughter is typing as I dictate 😊. In time we believe the tremors will cease, I have nerve damage, but I have a big smile too. My severe back ,pain seems to have been alleviated. TMI, I know, but the bougie’s sent me over, and it is amazing the likes we share. P.S. I am a high school biology and chemistry teacher grades 9-12. I teach all sciences except physics. I refused to get yet another certification. I love Tula, Brenda and Plum street too. Daughter says this enough. Have a wonderful New Year. Liz, Florida
Hi Liz, thanks so much for watching. I hope your recovery is speedy, so you can get back to stitching. It really does seem like we have a lot in common since I taught science for 19 years. So, to make the design wall, I wrapped the fabric on pink hard insulation from Home Depot. It’s really just thick foam. Then my husband screwed in washers to the corners. We used the super strong magnets to attach to the metal shelving units and the madness stick to the washers on the board. The units store decorations, and the panels are light weight and easy to remove to access them and hide everything. Hope this helps.
Maybe yooou can show the set up pp and design at the end of a floss tube. In the vid all that is Vo visible are part of the quilt blocks. Can’t tell what yooiu mmmeann abt shelves. Thank you
Welcome, Stephanie, to the FlossTube community. I came over on a recommendation from Brenda and Laura. Lovely video and lovely projects. It was adorable having your daughters helping and supporting you. Thank you for being a teacher. Teachers are my heroes. Happy stitching.
Omg, thank you so much and thank you for watching. I love watching you and I love that song your husband wrote and performed, he is so sweet. Thank you for always reminding us to get our steps in before our stitching. 😊
I really enjoyed your floss tube. You received a shout out from Shellie, Antique Needleworkers and glad that I watched. Would really like if you shared some of your quilting projects, maybe you could share quilts at the end of the floss tube. Happy Stitching!
🎉 Yay! You are a very good FlossTuber! Your bags are lovely and I was so glad to hear you say you're okay with the rain-soaked whale 🐋 being stitched in the "wrong blue" on the one side. It looks good to me and gives him character. Happy 2024 🎊
What a great and fun first floss tube Stephanie!!!! Love your stitching projects and the project bags you made are stupendous!!!! Looking forward to lots of videos from you!!! Love, Laura
I found you this morning by accident and loved your flosstube. I was so enthralled with all of your pieces that I ate my breakfast and drank my coffee and didn't realize it until my coffee cup was empty. I wish I had a pad of paper with me so I could jot down all the different pattern designers and places to get the fabrics. I am also a cross stitch addict and quilter. I loved the portfolios you made for all of your projects, you have inspired me to create a few of my own. Can't wait for your next flosstube.
Hi Stephanie, could you please make video about your patchwork works? The blocks in the background are amazing. I would also like to see all your bags. Thank you!
Thank you. I am definitely trying to figure out how I can film that in a way you would be able to see. I do have a small project I am working on making a tutorial for, so please look for that soon. 💕
Hi Stephanie 👋🏻 I was watching another floss tube and you were mentioned! I too live in RI! I am a cross stitcher and crochet. I love watching quilting but haven't done it. We will have to cross paths sometime as we live in the smallest state 😊. Your floss tube was great and I subscribed ❤ ~ Jill
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and subscribe. It’s very nice to “meet” you. 💕 I hope that we get to meet in real life, perhaps at Stitch New England. 😊
You did fantastic! I was born and raised in MA and went to college in N. Dartmouth MA right close to you. I live in Utah but still consider myself a New Englander. Keep up the great work your projects are beautiful. I am looking forward to your next floss tube. Where can I find out more about the Boss Me Board? I love the name of it and would love to do it.
I took a recommendation from Two Needles Pulling Thread and so glad I did!!! As a fellow redhead, I got a chuckle out of "Rhode Island red" 😂. You are off to a terrific start, love your projects and the quilt blocks. I'm also chiming in to finish the Flag stitch! Until next time, happy stitching 🪡❌
Such a great flosstube…here is hoping you also show us the quilting….funny story I also started cross stitch 2020 with Kimberly FQS…my tastes have also changed since then…Hello from Saskatchewan, looking forward to your videos…
Just found you! I'm in NJ so kinda NE. thanks for sharing all your stitchy goodness. Bless you for being a middle school teacher. That's an AGE and kids are a hot mess. I look forward to saying hi at Stitch New England in the fall! Hoping you'll show your quilts as well - I'm a loooooong time stitcher, but newbie quilter.
I enjoyed seeing what you’ve been working on. Keep going with the flags, you’re so close to being done and your stitching is beautiful. Brenda and the serial starter mentioned your flosstube and I’m glad I watched. Looking forward to the next one.
Oh what a great floss tube today and such a great personality, bet you make a wonderful teacher 🥰 I have to get busy and make some of those bags and portfolios you have shown, just so creative. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to the next video for sure 🪡🧵🥰👏❄️⛄️
Congratulations on your first flosstube. I really enjoyed it. Please show more quilting. You r very talented. Your keepers and project bags are beautiful. I am from Massachusetts. Glad to see another cross stitcher/quilter from New England. 😊
I'm excited to have been able to watch you on flosstube. I love the quilt that you're working on. I will be looking forward to more of what you do. You can always share your love of quilting as well. A lot of people do that on their flosstube too. 🤗❤🤗
Wonderful flosstube! Enjoyed hearing about your stitching and looking forward to seeing your quilts as well. I'm a new stitcher and a long time quilter.
Great flosstube. I am also a quilter so I would love to see your quilting. Kimberly Jolly enables me as well. I think I will single handedly put one of her children through college with all the stuff I buy from her shop. 😂 Please explain BOSME. I have never heard of it before.
Thank you so much for your comment. I will definitely include some of my quilting. I hope to hang a different quilt each video and share my progress on some of my quilting WIPS. BOSME is just like WIPGO. You pick 25 projects that you want to work on for the year. It was started by the BosStitchers and Two Needles Pulling Thread.
Fantastic first Video! I am a new loyal viewer! Keep them coming. I am a quilter too. Thanks for starting your new channel! Would love to know what pattern you used for making your project keepers also.
I just discovered you and enjoyed this Flosstube. I’m a retired teacher who taught middle school “computer education” classes that morphed into robotics and coding before I retired in 2017. I’m in CT, so a fellow New Englander. My mom was born in Fall River. I spent a lot of time growing up at my grandmother’s cottage in Swansea, MA. So nice to “meet” you!
God Bless You! I am an occupational therapist. I use to work in the school system. Middle Schoolers are tough! Girl, I love your quilt and fabrics. I need more details! Great video!
Stephanie!!!! Welcome to the Flosstube Community!!! I am so so so happy you have joined. I loved looking at all your beautiful WIPs! Looking forward to seeing the progress you make!
Great first video, looks like you have done them forever. I am also a New England stitcher, quilter. Glad you got to go to your first retreat, I have not been to one yet as I am a nervous driver. I also have not done a video I think about it but I would be to nervous.
Thank you so much for watching. For Wisdom, I replaced Old Money with GA~summer shower, DMC 3721 with GA~Brethren Blue, DMC 3778 with CCW~Deep Fennel. Hope this helps. 😊
Hi Stephanie! Great first FlossTube and I am excited to meet another New England stitcher. I lived on the Outer Cape in MA for years, but last week I moved to the Lake Region in New Hampshire. I adore the quilt background. My mom was a quilter and I am inspired to pull one of her quilts out to use as my FlossTube background.
The Bougie Stitchers gave you a shoutout so after I finished watching their video I watched yours. Great video! Don’t give up on your flag project. It is beautiful and it looks close to a finish. I’m looking forward to your next video.
I enjoyed watching your first flosstube and look forward to your next video. It is always fun to see other teachers that share a love for cross stitch. Your Christmas Parade project looks fabulous on your fabric choice.
That was an excellent first flosstube. Fun to watch. My mom's family all live in RI. (Little Compton and Tiverton if you are familiar with that area.) Lots of woods there.
Was so glad to find your 1st Flosstube. I’m just getting back into cross stitch after about 10 or so years away. Things are so different now. UA-cam is such an enabler. If you could, maybe sometime spend a bit of time on your bags and portfolios. They are beautiful and think that is something I want to learn to go along with my stitching. Anyway, congratulations on a great 1st FT and looking forward to many more from you.
I am another New Englander from North Shore of Boston. Loved your projects and hope to see more of your quilting. I knew how to cross stitch before Covid, but didn't know how to quilt, and taught myself to quilt during that time.....Looking forward to seeing you again.
Hi I’m in Rhode Island to. I’m in East Providence. Where are you? So glad I found you I to am a 14 count Aida stitcher. Not brave enough to try linen yet. But I do good I’m happy with my projects Linda from Rhode Island
This was a great flosstube! I just recently got back into cross stitch after about 20 years and I also blame Kimberly Jolly 😂😂 for enabling me. I look forward to seeing more of your videos
You did a great job on your first flosstube! I am a fellow New Englander, I live in Western Massachusetts so I had to watch! I love your project keepers, I have made a few from Tiger Lily’s pattern, but I love your thread beds inside.
So glad I’ve found you! I’ve also got a double addiction - quilting and cross stitching. I am also a lover of anything blue. Love your quilt blocks behind you. Would you mind sharing your conversion for Wisdom? My jaw dropped when I saw yours! Can’t wait until your next video!!!
Thanks so much for watching, it sounds like we have a lot in common. I am very happy to share. My Wisdom conversion is posted in the community tab of my channel.
The flag project your working on looks amazing. I hope you finish it and share. Another great designer to check out is Teresa Kogut. Enjoyed your first floss tube video. Looking forward to more.
Yay! Great job on your first flosstube. So happy to have you join the flosstube community. So, I have 2 ideas. Remember when Amy finished stitching a piece for Helen that Helen was tired of? I'll finish stitching the flag piece for you if you aren't happy with it but still like it. Then I'll give it back. The 2nd is a bag exchange. You make a bag. I make a bag. We exchange. Let me know if you're interested. 🧡🧡
HIIII! I am so far behind on my water later list! But, I loved your video! MS STEM teacher?!?! Bless you I teach HS English in the Southern Tier of NY. See ya!
Great first floss tube. You showed up on my screen, so decided to watch. I felt an instant affinity with you, although I’m considerably older than you, but feel like we’re close to the same spot in our cross stitch journey. I am a quilter, so was I’m attracted immediately by your blocks on your design wall. And I have a huge number of want to be worked on charts, fully kitted, waiting for my attention; and I’ve been making project bags 😅. I love project bags, especially with vinyl fronts, so I can immediately see what is in them; mine are not quite as coordinated as yours with fabric and project tying together somehow! We have many similar chosen projects, and I have a huge case of startitis. I’m curious to find out about bossme…don’t know if I have it right…but 5 days on a project sounds like a person could make some progress. I haven’t yet looked to see if you have a link to that. A group of stitchers in my area are trying wipgo this year, but I’m already 4 days in and haven’t worked on either of the drawn projects for January. It was a big deal to get 25 projects listed on my WIPGO board. I’m returning to cross stitching after about 40 years away from it. There is so much new…flosses, fabrics, designers, etc that I sure it will be a miracle if I can get much really completed. I am a retired teacher, 3 daughters, 3 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, and one great grandson (he was only with us five weeks😢). I’m four score plus 1 years old, and hope I have a few more years of stitching. Watching your floss tube was a great, positive boost to my desire to get as much done as possible. I hope you return often, but I’m well aware how life gets in the way! Wishing you all the best, as you are back at school. 🕊️
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video. BOSME is just like WIPGO. It was started by flostubers the BosStitchers and Two Needles Pulling Thread. Good luck on your WIPGO board. I am really loving being able to work on a project for 5 days because at the end I am rewarded with a new project to work on. It’s so funny, I have to trick my brain to stay interested. I am planning to film my next video on Monday MLK day since we are off school. 😊
Sarah's Stitchy Spot sent us to meet you❤

Hi Liz, thanks so much for watching. I hope your recovery is speedy, so you can get back to stitching. It really does seem like we have a lot in common since I taught science for 19 years. So, to make the design wall, I wrapped the fabric on pink hard insulation from Home Depot. It’s really just thick foam. Then my husband screwed in washers to the corners. We used the super strong magnets to attach to the metal shelving units and the madness stick to the washers on the board. The units store decorations, and the panels are light weight and easy to remove to access them and hide everything. Hope this helps.

@@patmarchbanks8230 Yes, those are the 3 colors I changed. Everything else is as called for colors. 👍
Hello from Tennessee! It was lovely to meet you. Can't wait to stitch with you again soon
The flag piece is gorgeous! Keep going on it. The finish line is near! 🎉
Best teacher ever 😍❤
Great first show!! I love your quilt blocks too!! I’d love to see more on quilting anytime!! I love Kimberly Jolly too. Enjoy !
The Bougie Stitchers gave you a shoutout so after I finished watching their video I watched yours. Great video! Don’t give up on your flag project. It is beautiful and it looks close to a finish. I’m looking forward to your next video.
Nice to meet you. I hope in future you will show your quilting too.
Thank you, I will
I enjoyed watching your first flosstube and look forward to your next video.
Good job on your first flosstube. Since I am a quilter also I would enjoy seeing your quilting projects.
Great videos. On Lori Holt’s Autumn Love I wish I would have changed the word autumn to our last name - that way I could have left it up all year.
Great idea! Thanks for watching
Great floss tube, looking forward in two weeks!🤗🎉
I so enjoyed your first FT! Great projects. I remember Garden Goose mentioning RI Red. Glad you took the plunge into FTs!
Loved your 1st floss tube. Looking forward to the next
Welcome, WELCOME!!! You’re a wonderful addition to flosstube!!
Thank you, and thank you so much for watching 💕
Great video! Stitching is wonderful. Live your choice of patterns. Thank you for sharing your talent and passion.
@@the_new_england_stitcher Thank you! i’ll go look for it right now!!!
You did a great job on your first floss tube! I loved seeing all of your stitches. Your quilt blocks in the background were beautiful, too.
Great first video!! Loved seeing all your projects and your project keepers are amazing as well.
I'm not a cross stitcher, but saw your quilt blocks behind you. Love the blue & green
The flag project your working on looks amazing. I hope you finish it and share. Another great designer to check out is Teresa Kogut. Enjoyed your first floss tube video. Looking forward to more.
Lol, should have waited to mention Teresa Kogut. Love your color conversion for Wisdom. I need to start working on mine again.
You’re doing a great job. Glad I found you.
A great first flosstube! And I would love to know about your quilting too!
HIIII! I am so far behind on my water later list! But, I loved your video! MS STEM teacher?!?! Bless you I teach HS English in the Southern Tier of NY. See ya!
Thank you for watching. Enjoy your summer break. ❤️
@@the_new_england_stitcher THANK YOU!
Stephanie This is wonderful. You have some great projects going. The BOM is looking great too.
Congratulations my friend on your first Flosstube!! You did great and it was so much fun to see all your projects!!! 💜💜😊
Awesome flosstube! Looking forward to many more!!!
Delighted to see a fellow Rhode Islander on Flosstube. I'm from East Greenwich. Hope to see more of you and your work.
Thank you! 😊
Lots of great projects. Keep up the great work. Your quilting looks impeccable too.
Well done! Looking forward to the next video
