Sorry to hear you are having issue. First : Run SYSTEM CHECK and see if you get 3 green check marks, if yes then your CONTROL ONE is fine. Some people are having same issue as well. I would hold on updating. Second: Try removing the battery and put it back again. Then go for a ride without updating, if control ONE works fine and does not turn off, then don't update yet.
You using iphone or android cause when i press update on my Android phone the app closes and says the app has stoped tried different phone still same problem
Hi Davyd I am using OS on Iphone, its actually pretty old phone. I would not be sure why Android would have issue. Although these apps are made for both systems these days. Perhaps you wanna try chat with online customer service. Maybe its something small and they are pretty good with trouble shooting.
mine keeps shutting off midway through the update.

I have no access to the motor
Motor or controller shutting off maybe because of poor battery connection cause by possible riding over some bumpy roads.
