I have owned this for 3 years and it’s super good quality. Easy and quick to put on and off the hitch receiver. Nothing but good things to say about this rack.
Great review! Thanks for posting this. I just ordered the new Super Duty and can't wait to get it. Do the trays rotate up vertically for storage? Oh, and Blue Loctite is your friend. Riding a Harley, I buy that stuff by the gallon! 🙂
Holy molly. That's a lot of assembling. I still have the last model and I remember that all I did was open the box and put on my car. Is that wheel chuck useable on older racks? Thanks.
@@davidpearson2581 Hard to say, but when driving I can see that the bike with the wheel chuck does not have any wobble at all. The bike without it does have some slight wobble.
I get there are many options for locking the rack to the hitch. Are there any preventative measures to keep thieves from just unscrewing the trays and walking off with those?! A cable would slow them down for a few seconds, but that isn't much.
I just installed mine and I was wondering the same thing. Anyone with a set of hex keys or an adjustable crescent can pretty much take your bike if they really wanted to from what I see.
I just ordered the new Super Duty and talked to them about the EZ Pull for it. They're fighting some patent battles on it so they don't have a timeline yet. They know people want it and they're trying to move as fast as they can.
Read up on the recent history and take over of 1UP, it’ll make never want to support them. It was a McDonald’s style take over from the original creator.
Perhaps that's why I experienced poor support for a handle replacement. I'm bot a satisfied customer for charging a replaced handle when those set screws came out and lost it. Less than a year old.

Except this a new rack so yours is the older version like I have which I bought a year ago.

They dont rotate like the quick rack. Enjoy your new rack! Still loving mine
Just a heads up to use thread locker on the set screws on the EZ Pull handle. I lost mine and it's a pricey replacement.
What did you find out about the adapter? Just put my rack together today.
Would it be impractical to loosen the 4 wheel tray bolts and fold it for storage similar to quick rack?

Pretty sure the wheel chuck is only usable on the new rack
@@MTBRadDad thanks.
@@MTBRadDad It the wheel chuck worth it?

@@MTBRadDad I might get one for the front wheel. I just put the rank on the back of a Class C, very happy.

When does the new ez pull for the tilt for the new super duty double? It not the same as the old sdd pre 4-24

on the tray closest to the vehicle... won't the handlebars hit the back of the car? the onner tray looks quite close
Nope. There is some room to play with depending how far the hitch is inserted
You can take a Velcro strap and get the same results on the older units like I have.
I don't have a truck. I have an SUV but I still need a bike rack for my 2 bikes.
No loctite?
Them toes!😂
Join my only toes 😂🤪
blue loctite is your friend
