That's why we have to develop our own recruits it seems to me we still have a development problem at the U
Takes time. It usually takes 3-4 years of classes stacked before you can see tangible evidence of true development.

Well considering the freshman last year were our first true Mario class, and the ones who didn't need to be developed, played...I would say, how do you know we have a development problem when they're still... developing? It isn't like we're 6 classes deep and none of our recruits panned out. His #4 class literally just walked onto campus.
His first batch of recruits were basically dudes Manny and his staff were working on and maybe a few he was able to pull in such a short window. The first class hardly counts and most of them are gone.
Mario clearly has a type of player he's looking for, Manny has his, Mario can't develop Manny guys to grow 3-4 inches and put on 30 more pounds and run faster.
Let the classes develop and they'll hit the ground running, until then we'll be filling the gap with veterans like Martinez, who can do everything Fletcher can...but with the experience to not fumble when we're running clock out. It is Mario's fault because its college and he's a kid, but, if this was the NFL, everyone would be blaming the player.
And as far as I'm concerned it is pro now. People want to have it both ways, it doesn't work like that. So to avoid the learning curve the freshman will have, we're bringing in bridge veterans. Our homegrown talent will end up better than our transfers, but they aren't yet, and until we have a full roster of elite talent, this is the best we can get. Or we can go 8-5 and get our freshman experience now. Miami fans don't have the patience for a slow build, so he's trying to do both.
@@skeeterfinklage445facts! Many fans want both the growth of high school recruits and success on the field simultaneously. However, this is not the typical progression in rebuilding processes.
