I love how the devils in her react to his looking into her eyes and she instantly is driven to leave and run. They know full well who the King is. Loved that touch.
Every time, A man of 60 I can't stop watching the series. I jave seen it 4-6 times at least. And this piece, dozens of times and I weep like a baby every time.
I've been a Christian many years. I've heard and preached many great sermons. Seen many wonderful things. But, This scene broke me down. It took me back to my own salvation. I was pretty bad and a rebel. I grew up in Church and grew to resent it. But when God pressed my and opened my eyes to the death around me I had to find Jesus. I love Jesus and The Chosen gave me a fresh fire for n my heart.
The fact that a high quality show can now be used to inspire so many to open up the scriptures is beautiful. Doubled by the fact it’s free and free to use so clips like this may be made.
I used to be a real mess- up to my eyeballs in occult and later an atheist angry with God, I was chronically depressed with the most severe form of PTSD, fornicating and lustful...and so lonely in this world. Last September Our Lord Jesus saved me when I attempted a su*cide. As I was pushing a knife into my chest, I saw Christ. And He told me "No" in the most authoritative way. Twice. I could not proceed with my plan after that. I realised just how lost and blind I was all those years. I repented of my sins and was baptised with the Holy Spirit. Jesus lifted me up and gave me a new heart that loves God. Now I rejoice in the Lord and give Him praise every day from the moment I wake up to the very last second before I fall asleep. He changed my life in a miraculous way. Such is the glory of the Lord! Oh, how GREAT is Our God! Thank you, Jesus, for every wretched sinner You have saved.
Do you know the person who plays Nicodemus came out of retirement to play him? Amazing, extremely moving and no one else could of played this part so perfectly.
For me it was the booze. I couldn't stop. My pagan beliefs never helped me. In a bathtub full of water with a hair-dryer, I made a decision to leave. Before I did, I cried out to the Christian God, Jesus. I said; If you are there God, truly there, please help me now because I can not help myself, and if you can't help me, let me die. That was my last drink, 20 years on, I am still sober & still love the Lord. This scene, when Jesus calls Mary by name, that was me.
We all need the Lord just as much as Mary Magdelene, and I know someone whom I believe the Lord said she is, deep down inside, who Mary became. I later saw a profound change in this person's eyes and can hear how proud the Lord is of her when I pray for her; Jesus, I pray one day You would allow me to tell her in person just how proud I am too.
in her deepest despair god heard her, sent his son to call her by name, when god and his son want you, you will be his,MARY was needed, just like the lady at the well, god makes appearances, and he heals perfectly,MARY washed his feet with her hair and tears, now that's repenting, what a miraculous savior we have,CALL OUT HIS NAME,AND HE'LL COME OR SEND A THOUSAND ANGELS TO YOU,IN A BLINK,GOD BLESS ALL WHO SUFFER NEEDLESSLY,ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN UNTO YOU,YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW VALUABLE YOU ARE TO THE LORD,HE DOESN'T WASTE HUMAN FLESH,HE SENT HIS SON TO DIE FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU,AND ME
I'm a Catholic and I teach CCD (like Bible School for my Protestant brothers and sisters) to 6-7 graders every Sunday.......and i begin each year talking about , first having a relationship with Christ.......and then i use this very clip as an example to show how Jesus loves us.
I watch this clip quite often. I wonder at the part when he lays his hand over hers, and shuts his eyes briefly and talks to the father. I think that it's here that the demons in mary know that they are now in the presence of god. And he is going to take back what was his all along.
This world is referred to in some spiritual texts as The World Of The Cross This is Hell The father of lies has had it's hold here for a very long time. It's reign needs to be over. Enough Cannot wait to see Yeshua's face Something to look forward too

The Lost sheep was really in bad shape, she does not recognize the Voice of The Shepherd and fears his hand. Many would have fallen to their knees to just his robe touching them. He really was to don't let her fall and take her back to His flock.
I CAN'T IMAGINE ALL THE HURT AND ABUSE THIS PRECIOUS. WOMAN ENDURED. SHE IS RIGHT SHE WAS IN HELL. THANK YOU JESUS. HE SAVED AND DELIVERED HER. FROM LUCIFERS SATANIC GRIPS AND CHAINS. HALLELUJAH 🙌
I don't really understand the scene at 2:23 with the Roman guard. I mean, I can kinda take a guess what may be taking place there....but seems very random and out of place, and it's never brought up again
Mary was a prostitute before her conversion. I'm sure many Roman men would have had their way with her. I'm sure she remembers the pain physically and mentally
I mean, this is all very interesting to watch from an anthropological standpoint in terms of appreciating another time period and another part of the world, but I guess I find it so profoundly strange how so many people around the world find this to be so moving as to abandon the worship of their Ancestors and their Ancestral Gods? These people are Jewish, from 2000 years ago... their culture, their language, their history... it has NOTHING to do with mine as a North American of primarily British ancestry. Our Gods are far more ancient and belong to the people that launched the development of civilization into hyper-speed through the domestication of the horse and the invention of the chariot. My ancestors come from Britain, Scandinavia, France, and Italy, and before that they migrated into Europe from the Pontic Steppe. The roots of our Ancestral Religion stretch back in time to a period before Yahweh was even introduced to the ancestors of the Jews or before the Jews knew themselves as a people distinct from other Canaanites. Even when I was little growing up a Christian I was confused as to why we spent so much time reading over stories from the Bible and staring at maps of Palestine rather than reading over stories about Britain, Scandinavia, or Europe in general. How is this so intuitive for some people? I literally cannot square the circle in my mind. It's just... well, ridiculous!
Nobody has got it figured out bud. Not Christians, not Jews, not you, not me. Go with your heart, not with your brain. It's easy to criticize something you don't understand or deem ridiculous. But they are not wrong for following Jesus and you are not wrong for following your God. It's not about who's right, it's about what brings you peace. And if it brings you closer to God, even better. There's too much hate. Everyone wants to be on the right team. Divide and conquer is alive and well in today's environment. Don't feed into it, please.
