Whenever I think about travelling I always turn my attention South...meanwhile here we are in an absolute Mecca of sightseeing, first class travel and unsurpass travel opportunities!!! Here I come Rockies...I am so so SOLD!!!!
To add to my last reply we went on the rocky mountain train from Vacouver to Jasper it was a great journey, stopping Kamloops over night and then on to Jasper. You are all so friendly and made our adventure wonderful
I'm a Brit (82+) living in the US, and while I have never really paid too much attention to Canada over my lifetime, I have to say that watching your video it strikes me how totally civilized this country is - especially right now when the US has been behaving like a spolit brat for the past few years !!!! Thank you for reminding me what a decent sensible population is all about - I feel so tired of the politics here right now ! Love your beautiful country - stay always your very best self - you are a wonderful example to the rest of the world.
I have been hitting the mountain through out the years, snowboarding in avalanche aftermath, rock climbing on the walls, hiking in bear country, which you wouldn't see many in the whole world, which made me a God like guy.
The Cascade Mountains in British Columbia are also beautiful. But it is the Rocky Mountains in Alberta and along the Alberta-British Columbia border that are truly most majestic and indescribably beautiful!
Thanks for your immersive footage, very enjoyable, it's a place we'd very much like to experience and all the more so after seeing your vlog. All the best to you.
I am interested to travel from Vancouver to Banff by train and from Jasper back to Vancouver. How do I do the booking for Aug 2023 and I need to know the prices. Please indicate the currencies
I plan on touring the area this summer with my dog. She is an Australian Cattle Dog and is very outdoors oriented. What do you recommend in terms of value-oriented accommodations that accept dogs, as well as day hike adventures throughout the area between Banff and Jasper, and lakes and streams that we can both frolic in. Thank you in advance.
I've seen some videos of the paranormal phenomena of spirits like the story of the 2 planes that collided in the Grand Canyon in the 50's and even though mountain climbers were hired to help recover the bodies not all the bodies were recovered. Some 50 years later there waa park ranger sleeping in a tent in the area of the crash. Around 4am she heard voices and got her gun thinking there were looters looking to steal artifacts. She looked out of the tent to see a native north American Indian leading a line of people dressed in 50's attire and carrying suitcases walking up a trail. She heard one of the people say are you sure we haven't been up this way before? I would not be sad to be locked in a beautiful place like Banff, Lake Louise or any of the magnificent supernatural areas associated with those regions. Only one thing is that I would want to be catered to just like the elite in magnificent hotels but free to roam anywhere I chose
Unfortunately this is the idealized version. It is still beautiful but you have to navigate crowds, the parking and the greedy. The fire in Jasper has brought a revelation that something must change.
@@peggyjean5530 Not quite. Glaciers like the Athabasca have retreated quite a bit, Peyton Lake has a reconstructed lookout point, and the amount of tourists visiting has grown substantially in the last decade
The Canmore, Banff, Lake Louis and Jasper area is STONEY NAKODA SIOUX TRADITIONAL TERRITORY, There is NO Blackfoot History in the area...They belong in the prairies and southern alberta. .
Such a great video. I’m making a trip through the Rockies in September. You have really helped me plan for it. Thank you for sharing. 🇨🇦
Oh, thank you! So glad it has helped. Hope you enjoy your scenic adventure!
I am so grateful that I am Canadain & I live in British Columbia!!! Born in Victoria & very Proud of that 1957 Novemer 20th.

In April, Springtime in the Rockies, 1984, I saw Jasper, Lake Louise, and Banff. The sights is always on my mind.

a Sasquatch in the woods, about 180ft away.
Rule #1 - never go anywhere without your camera at the ready !

Is Canada the last country which has such pristine nature? I guess the winter holds back tourism 9mos of year.
Alaska in the US, Yukon, Nunavut, Newfoundland has untouched beauty

Yes - traveling can be very pricey. But we're glad that there's many different ways to travel.
100.00 for a piece of meat 😂😂😂😂 what a waste of money
