I had to choose between these two cars and after a few weeks of test driving and research I bought the BMW X1. The new BMW just had the edge over the Mercedes.
I’ve always loved Mercedes. Had 3 in a row. But now I’m buying an X1. Sporty yet classic luxury. The GLA was not even in consideration after seeing the X1.
There is no doubt the new X1 is far superior to the GLA in almost everything (specially the PHEV versions here in Europe). I'd even say the new X1 will be still better than the new GLA (which comes next year).

I’m an Audi fan but now I’m going for an x1 hybrid. After driving both gla and x1 I don’t even consider the Mercedes.

Got my new GLA today. Awesome car. BMW lacks class..
Agree. I got my GLA last Wednesday. An UPGRADE for sure from my X1, which I paid tons for maintenance. MB is pure class!
