Great run! That Hexia fight was terrifying, but you clutched it out in the end. Nicely done! Alien has some of the most interesting synergies IMO, but they are way too narrow, so it's usually just bad.
Certrainly a hard one. GG!
Fun run. Im a Myco defender if you pick him early. Spore is underrated, and it can squeeze out some early 4s and sneak out some clutch shield/heal support type stuff.
Alien does need some kind of work, but he gets avoided so much I feel like we're missing a couple broken combos. Copycat for example is one I hadnt thought of.
As usual, Botany is OP, and the reroll synergies at the 11th hour were pretty broken. Though it could have hit better earlier.
good job on that run, your assesement is not wrong, alien is on the weaker side of tier II, but he can do some decent work. If there's one thing you cannot take away from him, it's his ability to provide cleanse, he's better then any other tier II in that regard, with two-two pips side, if you need it, with poison curses or against status-inflicting enemies, he can pretty easily pull you out of theses. The ability turns any two pip attack side, into a range-rampage "kill an enemy with two or less hp" if you need crowd control, he's ok against swarms. And finally, his sides synergize very well with copycat sides, doubling their value whether it's shield or damage. His item and character synergy potential is much weaker compared to other green tier II's, but he's not the worst in all situations
I hadnt thought of the copycat angle.
This game is still being updated, 3.1 is confirmed and the dev posts devlogs (as recently as June)

With multiple overlapping curses and blessings, the order you select them in matters.
I just wonder if you use spore spell on side that have Growth keyword will it increase the pip by 1 permanently for a fight?
nah, it just neutralizes itself, +1 for the turn, and no increasing value, whether for this usage, or the next turn. It would be correct with Hypergrowth though
