    What a fantastic run. I adore Defensive, because that's just the kind of stuff I like in rpgs, and seeing it work so well was a joy. Boots of Speed were enormous for countering the Heavy Dice. I think taking Scorpion Tail was a mistake; There could have been situations where you used it, but I think if you're looking for consistency, Ironblood Pendant was the pick. It would have turned your Turn Start 3 shield into 5 shield, it makes Rescue easier to use, Steel on Brawler better, etc. I don't know how the increase to incoming healing works in combination with Mana-Gain heals, tho. Does the mana-gain see the Pips or the amount healed? Based on how other keywords work, I would imagine it's amount healed, because you "gain mana equal to the amount healed" essentially, but I could see it not working that way, too. Either way, I think Ironblood Pendant would have been really, really strong here.

      Agree that picking scorpion tail wasn’t great.
      But I still think playing against The Hand with defensive is very scary. So my argument for taking it was reasonable, as I could have easily gotten overwhelmed by swords since my only damage sources were limited to heavy and 1 steel side.

      Yea, I also thought during the Scorpion Tail pick he should have prioritized whatever would have been the most mana-gain, because even with just Burst, its like a lot more damage (and utility). Probably Wax Seal because its universal, but maybe just the +1 to mana sides.
      I also thought Sparks was more interesting than Boots, because I imagined having Herbalist cantrip regen or something, but the Boots were probably the right choice.

    Really cool. I haven't seen a Defensive run in a long time. It's so hard to find damage. Paladin and Valkerie were unexpectedly good. Boots too, I would have taken Botany or even Two Reeds or something, but I think Boots was right.
    I think normally you try to find LongBows, Longswords, or Scalpel or something to dual class a hero, but you leaned fully into unkillable lol. And not the kind of unkillable Im more used to which is like infinite mana Prophet Soothe or growth rescue etc. Fun run.

    Good run! Defensive strategies are generally more consistent (except with Force) but the actual "Defensive" comp is painfully slow sometimes. There were some close calls, but with the level of sustain you had I think you were pretty much always in a good spot.

    26:00 ngl making the militia run and shielding the mystic would probably be the best outcome here instead because of enchanted shield
