Great tour Jordan enjoyed it even though you couldn’t film the inside. I’ve never been to either of those houses so it was great to see them here .. Will be looking to tour those someday soon. Thanks for doing this video very enjoyable!
I love American history and studying our founding fathers. We probably wouldn't be here (in USA) if it weren't for them. Virginia is chock full of historical sites!!
My genealogy traces back to Martha Washington. George Washington was her second husband, having been married to Daniel Parke Custis until he died. Daniel Custis owned land and a plantation near what is now known as Arlington National Cemetery. Thank you for sharing this, I love this part of our history!
Thank you for the tour. I feel bad for you not being able to see the inside of the homes. So many of us have a keen interest in our nation's history and have to vicariously enjoy these great tours you give. Thank you.
Awesome, I enjoy the history of our founding fathers. I am glad God gave them the vision to create this great country. Now, it is up to us to keep it, which is getting harder. Thanks, Mr. The Lion
It’s really cool that you walked on the very property Mr. Washington grew up on. Imagine the hive of activity this farm must have been. Our history is bittersweet.
He lived on a beautiful property. It will be a special place to see once all the other buildings are built. The view from the river looking up to the home was awesome. Loved that he built his mother a home too. Must of been so humbling to be able to walk on the land where Mr. Washington was raised. You gave it a go in trying to find that darn cherry tree. Great vlog. Thank you Jordan. 🍒
The original house was built by my Ancestor, William Strother. The name lives on still & we've been in Virginia since the late 1600s just like the Washingtons. They still do archeological digs there & have stuff from the Strother family as well. They have an archeological room as soon as you walk in to your left where you can watch them work. Anyway, love your travels brother.
Jordan, I've been watching your Vlogs for several years, and I can say without a doubt no one does a better job at narrating / telling the story always so detailed with facts. Thumbs up Brother as I always give your vlogs, keep up the good work..
Thanks For the Wonderful Tour, No Worries about Not Being able to show Us the Inside of the House ~You are Appreciated ! And I Bet You Was Dashing as a Young George Washington 😁⚘️
I've been to Mount Vernon as a graduation present from my Dad. It is such an awesome thing to see. This looks intriguing as well. I love they are recreating historical sites for the next generation. It is well worth the money and time spent. Thanks for bringing us along, Jordan! ❤❤❤
To be honest, I hate when places don't allow you to film inside. For many people, this would be the only chance they ever get to see places like this. Everything has become so expensive that travel is becoming the province of the rich.
WOW! Grew up at Gettysburg. They have lots of interesting things too, including the Battlefield where we used to play as kids. Love your freld trips, esp as I'm growing older. Thank you!
Another great one Jordan. You know exactly how to film and inform in your vlogs especially your historical vlogs. It makes watching such a pleasure. Blessings to you, Katie and Jah. ~Love&Light♥️Carli
Really special vlog - beautiful country. The excavation finds were fascinating (especially the wig curlers!) However, walking the grounds where he himself once walked was truly incredible. Many thanks Jordan for all these memorable broadcasts.
I really enjoyed visiting there. Being new to Virginia I have been enjoyed visiting all the historical spots. Its hard to pick a favorite when there are so many place to see
I'm thankful for what you could show us. I love these kinds of videos where we see things from history. You can only do what you can. Pretty river. Thank you for sharing what you could with us. I really appreciate it. Take care.
We live around the corner from Mount Vernon Plantation. It's a fantastic place to visit as well. I know that you've been here, but a lot of things have been updated since you've been here.
I'm 90 minutes from here (I'm near where you did Scott Halls burial site vlog). I've been here! If you go further down you'd go to Stratford Hall where Robert E Lee was born and raised If you go towards Charlottesville, besides Monticello (Jefferson) house. In Orange, Va there is Montpeiler, President James Madison house tour and grounds are very informative and beautiful.

Great tour of the grounds and outside of the house. Thanks for posting pictures of the inside.

Am from Stafford County, have visited Mt. Vernon & only driven by Ferry Farm. Adding it to my "must see list"!

I live not too far from there, but i have yet to go.
Those are wig curlers? LOL
Good day
I'm from Stafford,Va. It's weird to see you there, ha.
For real I live like 10 min from the house and live on other side of the river
I just visited Sulgrave manor in Northampton UK built by Lawrence Washington 3rd great grandfather of George Washington
Mary Ball Washington is buried right there on the property. Maybe ask someone next time. It has an obelisk over her grave.
We live around the corner from Mount Vernon Plantation. It's a fantastic place to visit as well. I know that you've been here, but a lot of things have been updated since you've been here.
never knew that Washington had three brothers and a sister now we know
How do you come up with such cool places to visit? Seriously?
I'm 90 minutes from here (I'm near where you did Scott Halls burial site vlog). I've been here!
If you go further down you'd go to Stratford Hall where Robert E Lee was born and raised
If you go towards Charlottesville, besides Monticello (Jefferson) house. In Orange, Va there is Montpeiler, President James Madison house tour and grounds are very informative and beautiful.
It would've been cool to see the inside of the house, but we can see the outside and the property.
They're selfish. Care more about money then considering that many in this economy can't afford to travel.
@@TheOriginalRadGrrl I totally agree with you.
If you look on find a grave she buried at Kenmore Plantation & Gardens in Fredericksburg, Va.
“ we are outgunned “
According to google, George's mother Mary is buried in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
I live 4 minutes away from it I live near the mc donalds
Parson Mason Locke Weems made up the story about Washington chopping down the cheery tree.
Im first
George never wore a wig but he did powder his hair
