To be honest, I hate when places don't allow you to film inside. For many people, this would be the only chance they ever get to see places like this. Everything has become so expensive that travel is becoming the province of the rich.

My genealogy traces back to Martha Washington. George Washington was her second husband, having been married to Daniel Parke Custis until he died. Daniel Custis owned land and a plantation near what is now known as Arlington National Cemetery. Thank you for sharing this, I love this part of our history!

It’s really cool that you walked on the very property Mr. Washington grew up on. Imagine the hive of activity this farm must have been. Our history is bittersweet.

Jordan, I've been watching your Vlogs for several years, and I can say without a doubt no one does a better job at narrating / telling the story always so detailed with facts. Thumbs up Brother as I always give your vlogs, keep up the good work..

We live around the corner from Mount Vernon Plantation. It's a fantastic place to visit as well. I know that you've been here, but a lot of things have been updated since you've been here.

The original house was built by my Ancestor, William Strother. The name lives on still & we've been in Virginia since the late 1600s just like the Washingtons. They still do archeological digs there & have stuff from the Strother family as well. They have an archeological room as soon as you walk in to your left where you can watch them work. Anyway, love your travels brother.

Really special vlog - beautiful country. The excavation finds were fascinating (especially the wig curlers!) However, walking the grounds where he himself once walked was truly incredible. Many thanks Jordan for all these memorable broadcasts.

He lived on a beautiful property. It will be a special place to see once all the other buildings are built. The view from the river looking up to the home was awesome. Loved that he built his mother a home too. Must of been so humbling to be able to walk on the land where Mr. Washington was raised. You gave it a go in trying to find that darn cherry tree. Great vlog. Thank you Jordan. 🍒

I've been to Mount Vernon as a graduation present from my Dad. It is such an awesome thing to see. This looks intriguing as well. I love they are recreating historical sites for the next generation. It is well worth the money and time spent. Thanks for bringing us along, Jordan! ❤❤❤

I'm 90 minutes from here (I'm near where you did Scott Halls burial site vlog). I've been here!
If you go further down you'd go to Stratford Hall where Robert E Lee was born and raised
If you go towards Charlottesville, besides Monticello (Jefferson) house. In Orange, Va there is Montpeiler, President James Madison house tour and grounds are very informative and beautiful.
