- My guest is James Leadbitter AKA The Vacuum Cleaner. He is a British artist and mental health activist. James has struggled with general anxiety disorder, borderline personality disorder and severe depression.
Drawing from his lived experience, he currently works with groups including young people, health professionals and vulnerable adults to challenge how mental health is understood, treated and experienced. His work aims to challenge stigma, discrimination and prejudice towards mental health through art.

😊My name is Ese and I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in 2015.
Bipolar disorder is a mental illness that causes extreme mood swings which include emotional highs (mania) and lows (depression).
Its symptoms really affect sleep, energy, activity, judgment, behavior & the ability to think clearly.
