I feel like Segas got a missed opportunity here. Synthwave Outrun game, cruisin in your Ferrari in Miami at night. The sky glows with neon pink and purple with that orange setting sun.
Try Neon Drive on Steam, you might like it :)
Unfortunately Neon Drive is not the same at all. To me those types of games are half finished and too simplified.
If you can find it, try a game called 'Slipstream'
It wouldn't be the same, that SEGA aesthetic in it's most basic sense is clear deep blue skies, palm trees and bright green grass.
Final Tuned Besides, OutRun Bay is based on the California Bay. Not the Florida Bay. It’d be heresy at it’s finest.

I love this song as its my favourite video game tune. This is no doubt the best remix I heard on youtube compared to the other ones. Its clean. Its neat. The beats spot on. No annoying parts. Everything flows really nicely
This one has some nice harmonies and chords but I still think the C64 version is the best somehow, they just captured the emotion of the tune so well
After the Top Gear remix I was like: we need some OutRun remixes here...this guy never disappoints.

love this one. it sounds it's own thing while still invoking feeling of the original.. an 80's vibe. something the ones in the 2006 game didn't manage (although i loved those too)
Dear Pascal, you did not butcher anything. Far from it. There's a reason that this whole retrowave thing got started in the first place, and OutRun is a big part of it. And Suzuki San and Kawaguchi San must very proud of you. And Sega should listen to this, get inspired to do an HD OutRun Remake with you remixing the music.

Nice remix! The "Splash Wave" melody sounds a lot like a faster version of "Supernova", released by "P.O.N.D." in 1982.

Immortal game with immortal music! Great remix here. Fun fact....Ferrari only ever made 1 single convertible Testarossa. All others are done by after market body shops. Sad fact: Outrun is a classic game that often goes out of publishing and can not be purchased (including later versions like Coast to coast) because the licence agreement with Ferrari to represent their product expires. This is why the latest version on Nintendo Switch does NOT feature the Ferrari Testarossa, but features a "similar" car, that does not feature the logo.

Awesome remix of an awesome original! Sega really screwed it up back in end of 90's when they tried to run ahead of the train by trying to pump out new consoles before technology even got there to make it affordable and efficient. Could of held off a bit like Nintendo, -would of had their own console to this day with their games released under "SEGA" instead of competitor "Nintendo".
Dont just listen to this whilst crusin' in your Ferrari Testarossa or Lamborghini Diablo on a hot, sunny Miami sun kissed day. Listen to it when making a sandwich, when doing the dishes, when walking the dog and when doing just about anything you can imagine for a 100% High score lifestyle guaranteed!

⚠A hint, never listen to this song when driving, as it will make you want to accelerate to the limit of your engine. If you have a red convertible you got bad
I'm not saying this to be mean I'm giving an honest opinion but this is terrible half the point of music is to add to the atmosphere of something or to connect emotion to said atmosphere this makes me feel disconnected from outrun which is why I think it's bad not that the music is bad but it doesn't have that same outrun feel and sounds like most other generic synthesized music that has been made and released in the last few years
