      100% correct. Steel best hain khana server karne ke liye- pureh bharat bhar me yeh practice common bhi hain. Chai or coffee ke liye ceramic mug bhi theek hain -hantho ko jalne se bachchane ke liye. Vaise south me hot coffee bhi steel ke special mug me server karte hain. Steel toh hamari life ka abhinna ang hain.

    • @everydaylife9207
      @everydaylife9207  11 місяців тому

      Ceramic is fine for serving, but for cooking purposes, we prefer stainless steel. Nowadays, research is very contradictory. Ceramic was ideal 2000 years ago, when there was no toxin waste and there was less population. and after all, you are removing top soil for making utensils. Somehow, that idea doesn't gel with our personal choices.

    • @everydaylife9207
      @everydaylife9207  5 років тому +5

      Thanks you so much.
      Opalware is kind of glassware- a proprietary made item. It is really good choice - classy and lightweight.
      Doesn’t chip
      No stain problem as such - Turmeric or tomatoes etc.
      Doesn’t absorb odour- good for garlic sauce or non-veg serving
      Often Break-resistance -( Corelle brand- doesn’t break if slips from hand on some surface or table- Break if falls from kitchen counter to kitchen floor)
      It is good to have for causal dinner.
      Price starts from 1200 for 18 pieces for Indian brands ( Laopla, Cello and Larah etc.) whereas Corelle ‘s -6 plates ( full) will start from Rs 2000/- after discount not less than 1500/-
      Our personal favourite is good quality stainless steel dinner sets . You can assort them the way you want . Nos of each plates the way you want. Good quality bowls of your choice - as many as small or big the way want. We have assorted couple of dinner sets like this at our home. Believe us, our foreign friends ( non-Indians) always liked our dinner sets. Yes problem with steel is little scratches with knives. But, that’s okay to have slight wear and tear.
      Don’t use scrub on steel tableware too. We always clean it with combination of dish washing powder and liquid (slightly diluted) . It will shine forever. And last not least never put your cookware on tableware in sink ( often people tend to do that - that create deformity or scratches in tableware )
      We are very enthusiastic about homemaking that is why suggested about Stainless steel otherwise we Indian don’t need any suggestion for stainless steel.
      Hope it will help you.

      Porcelain is as same as Bone China. Only they don't add any animal bones in it. Instead of bones they add limestone (chuna) in it. The chemical reaction is same here.The process of making is same as Bone China but no bones. They look more beautiful than Bone China.

      @@KrishnaDas-il9vu opalware is light in weight whereas ceramics are a tad bit heavier, along with this opalware is non porous that is no room for bacterial growth whereas ceramics are porous(it means you will have to take more care of cleanliness),there is also this material called stoneware which is a type of ceramic but heated on very high temperatures this is what makes it non porous like opalware (but very expensive than usual ceramic),you can also compare it with their price point, opalware is affordable/cheap(great choice for daily use) but ceramics are expensive (that's why only meant for formal occasions).Hope it helps!
