    Yeah Stryde made the top 3! With Pelotons long ship time and after watching your video reviews we went with Stryde. Ordered the pivot adaptor yesterday❤️ your reviews were very helpful when navigating what direction to go with our first bike.

    Peloton just lowered their price $400 which captures the value category with the best content. I bought the s22i as I love their treadmill x32i and wanted only one monthly fee for both. The incline decline feature on a treadmill is super immersive along with amazing scenery and coaches that teach you about the foreign landscapes. On the s22i it felt artificial and didn't capture me like the peloton. I now have two monthly memberships as the peloton content is just THAT GOOD! I'm a mountain biker and love scenery but those classes really motivate me to come back. At the end of the day my health is worth two memberships and the real winner is one that makes you want to use it the most.

      Great feedback and your comment mirrors a lot of what I have experienced. iFit has some nice pieces (Scenic rides) but Peloton just has such a nice product end to end it is hard to pass up. Glad to hear it is working out so well for you!

      I definitely agree with this. Sometimes I need to really push myself with a quality studio ride and sometimes I want to take it a bit easy and go with a scenic ride. I have a peloton tread and bike + but I also paid for a year of iFit on Black Friday. I put a tablet holder over my bike and tread’s screen, put it on “just run” or “just ride” mode and stream iFit classes on my iPad when I want a good scenic ride - which I feel like peloton unfortunately lacks. I can still see all my metrics at the bottom of the screen so it works for me.

    Thank you for a detailed video. I know this is a year old but this still helps me gets a better understanding of what each bike is like. I know what I’m look for and this video helped narrow down things a lot. It looks like Stryde may be the one for me. I love the idea of the versatility of content and that helps when someone like myself needs extra motivation and I tend to find that boost via UA-cam, UA-cam music etc so not being stuck with one “platform” is the way to go for me. Hmm, wonder if I could connect Spotify or Iheart radio? That would be woukd be even better!

    • @Learnwithtravis

      Velocore is a little more bike if you want to get every bit out of the actual bike. (They are close though) Velocore is simpler, has some features Stryde cannot duplicate, and obviously that lean mode. Stryde is a great option for variety and mixing it up. Keeps it fun. I would probably ask yourself if you would like to bounce around different platforms or keep it easy and stick to one. Hope that helps!

    Great review of many top contenders Travis, but they all have one thing in common- a big screen which needs software and firmware updating regularly. We went to many fitness stores here in the UK to test out bikes and screens was lowest priority, all the sales staff were pushing the screen bike sales but we were looking beyond at build quality and longevity. We finally settled on the matrix cxm, it was above our budget and had no bling bling screen but the build quality, the ride quality and ease of adjustment was on another level, we were sold.
    Ordered a handlebar tablet mount from amazon and we can use our tablets or phones as we please.

    I have the S22i and have zero issues with it. It is amazing! So, of course, I don't agree with the ranking and it is SO SO SO much better than the Proform. I will say, almost all the issues are software-related (iFIT). My opinion is that it is internet connectivity issues. However, I know the newest model is supposed to be able to handle a lower quality internet connection.

    • @Learnwithtravis
      @Learnwithtravis  3 роки тому +5

      So glad to hear it is working out well for you! As mentioned, my lower rankings were not necessarily a result of the bikes themselves, but chance of bike breaking and how the company will support issues if you have them. The iFit rides and bikes can be amazing and I am sure a lot of people would thoroughly enjoy them. From my end, too many issues reported, poor support, and poor return policy hold them back in my rankings. If you get a working bike with no issues though... they can be a lot of fun!

    I know I am late to this video, but this helped me decide between the Proform Studio 22 (which is priced at 1500 right now) or the Velocore 22 (which is on sale for 999.99 at Best Buy right now). no brainer.. But I went with the Velocore 16 with 5-year geek squad warranty for under $1,000. I initially got the Velocore 22 but thinking about the lean feature.. I figured I should go with the 16 inch with 5-year warranty just in case it breaks I'm covered for 5 years. Thoughts? How did I do?

    Travis, I love your content. It's by far the most informative channel for figuring out which bike to buy. And i know you love the Stryde bike. But when you're talking about sub fees for Peloton, shouldn't you also reference the Stryde content is a whopping $30/mo? I understand it's unlocked and you don't have to pay it, but that seems a hefty price versus the $150 a year for the Velocore content and makes that bike less attractive given that content isn't the same quality as the Peloton content. That seems to me to reduce the value of the Stryde back considerably - am I missing something?

    • @Learnwithtravis
      @Learnwithtravis  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you so much Walt! While you are very right that if sticking to one platform only, the Velocore has a great subscription cost when compared to the other bikes. The reason I consider Stryde on the same level from a cost perspective is you can choose what you want and how much you want to spend. Maybe you use Stryde services for 4 months of the year (120), Peloton for 4 months (60), and UA-cam or streaming services you already subscribe to (free) and you average down to 15th a month. So I guess a lot depends on how you plan to use it, but you do have the control. Hope I made sense with how I explained that.... LOL.

    Debating between Peloton (worried about their long-term stability as a company?), Stryde, and Nordic Track. Which has best customer service? Lastly, does Nordic Track screen still not have a power button? Thanks

      I have had very poor support experiences with NordicTrack. Peloton has been mostly positive and Stryde has been great. NordicTrack did just come out with an updated model which has clip-in pedals. Stryde does have a dual pedal of clip in and cage. Depends on what you want out of it. The S22i has incline\decline to make scenic rides more realistic. If that sounds like something you would enjoy, I would say this is the bike. • @Learnwithtravis
      @Learnwithtravis  3 роки тому

      My pleasure! If you think you would primarily stick to iFit structured workouts, then I would probably go with one of the iFit bikes. With either bike you will get the automatic resistance change which is neat. As the instructors suggest changes or the scenic ride goes up or down a hill, you will feel the resistance change on its own. On the S22i you get incline\decline that functions much the same. This does add to the experience and why I would recommend an iFit bike if that is what you plan to stick to. Stryde is special if you are going to mix it up. You still get those iFit rides and great scenic content, but are able to go use other platforms and streaming services.

    Awesome breakdown, Travis! I decided to get a Peloton Bike+ but had a few I was debating between and you ranked them all high (Bike+/Bike, MYX, Stryde) so I’m sure you know how hard it was to make my decision. FYI, the aftermarket swivel adapters work for the original Peloton Bike too so that closes some of the value gap between it and the Bike+.
    Have you ever tried an air/fan bike before like the Rogue Echo Bike or Schwinn AirDyne? I was debating on getting one of those instead of a spin bike, so I would be interested to see your perspective on them and how you would compare them to these spin bikes. Definitely less bells and whistles and tech, but they also look very effective.

      @Learnwithtravis  3 роки тому +2

      Really appreciate it! You made a great decision and are right about the swivel monitor bridging the gap!
      I have not tried an air/fan bike. I did have a rower that worked like this so I have an idea of how it would feel. I think it would be a very different feel that the bikes I reviewed. I imagine it would be very good for shorter more intense workouts but not those 45 to 60 minute power sessions on magnetic bikes. I could be wrong though and will see if I can get my hands on one!

Only had to talk to one person, they handled everything, and when that didn't resolve the problem.... no questions asked, they ordered the remaining parts to replace everything else. Super easy to work with. That does not mean others are not great as well, but Bowflex really handled things well. I did have to work with MYX on something as well and they were great. I contacted Peleton tech support, sent them uploaded videos and I was told that replacement parts were going to be ordered and shipped directly to me, a third party vendor is going to contact me to schedule an appointment to replace the parts. Frankly, I didn’t spend nearly $3K for the bike & extended warranty to have a third party vendor come out to troubleshoot. I’m not too happy about that. It makes me feel like PELETON is no different than Nordictrack. So keep that in mind before you spend your hard earned money.

That is somewhat disappointing, but I'm exploring two other options. I'm determined to be the first Canadian to own a Stryde bike!

I have to disagree with the rating 💯 %. Plus the 5s screen flips over for other use. Feels like the rating was heavily based on the purchase experience, but hey I get it and it’s your channel... Initially I lean towards the MYX. Basically because it checks off 2 boxes you mentioned. My first concern is your tall and some of these might feel a little tight. The MYX allows you to move the handlebars further away which helps avoid knocking your knees into it. Also, it is at a better price point than the rest like you mentioned. For scenic rides, Stryde, NordicTrack S22i, and Proform Studio Pro 22 would all have that but I worry you would get it and not feel like you fit it well. Have you ever considered rowers? I am testing multiple know and you might get the scenic ride feel while fitting the equipment better...

    I have not pulled the trigger yet. Just when I thought I had my mind made up for the Peloton investment, I read a thread on reddit describing the lack of traditional hour long classes (and longer rides). Apparently there is only one new hour long ride for the whole month of August? I thought that Peloton was the place to be for that epic studio content. I'd really love the metrics and automatic adjustment ranges, but is the content taking a downturn? Is there a different service more tailored to rides at least 45 mins-hour long? Thanks, your videos are helpful.

    Hard to see how velacore could be considered top 3 when you waited over 100 days to get your bike fixed. AND the screen does not rotate so you can really only use it for cycling. Thoughts?

    • @Learnwithtravis
      @Learnwithtravis  3 роки тому +3

      Yeah, this is where it gets tricky as it really depends on what features talk to you. While it does lack a swivel monitor which I do wish it had, it does have lean mode and no one else has that. So, I let that slide a little bit as they had a feature that made up for it a bit. As far as taking a long time to get fixed... I gave them a pass. It took a while, but they were so easy to work with and they sent an entire bike minus the monitor pretty quickly. If that had fixed it, it would have been resolved quickly. Unfortunately, it was the one thing they did not send. They instantly got to work sending that after they realized the bike replacement did not help. I understand there is a massive part and chip shortage right now and everyone is dealing with this, so I can't really hold it against them. Just current times.

    Hi. Now that Peloton lowered its basic bike would that be your number 1 bike?

    • @Learnwithtravis
      @Learnwithtravis  3 роки тому

      That is a tough question! It would be right up there. Velocore and Stryde still have features the Peloton does not and more affordable monthly subscription costs so they get that edge. But being able to get into a Peloton caliber ride at this price point is hard to argue with. At this point I would say I have to really think hard about it but it is right in the conversation.

    • @Learnwithtravis
      @Learnwithtravis  3 роки тому +1

      The thing is, each of these bikes has something a little different to offer. So it depends on which features talk to you. If you want the full peloton experience (leaderboard, group rides, auto resistance change) then you would need to go with them. But with Stryde you can still get the Peloton experience but at a much lower monthly rate while being able to do so much more. Honestly, both are fantastic options but I do love the Stryde and what you can do with it.
