Do you still rock the S6 or are you using the XT5 for video as well? I currently have photo cameras only and I'm looking at a well priced used S6 for some narrative short films and doc stuff (hobbyst director, not for main work). Would you recommend it for my use case in 2024? My other option is the BMPCC 6K Pro (but I like open gate for anamorphic) or maybe a ZV-E1, but micro HDMI and potential overheating are kind of dealbreakers... Thanks.

I had little understanding of lighting and set design etc but also 2 years with this camera and I’m obsessed with those things more than camera specs.
I would love to upgrade but just don’t have the money at the moment. Not sure what I’d want to get either..
Maybe F6 and keep S6 great duo. That or komodo or c70

I love my S6, my regular rigging defintly turns clients heads and get s the job done!

Z Cam footage looks really flat and grey 99% of the time. Is it that the footage falls apart in grading or that Z Cam users generally don’t do much grading?

I would like to buy this device to eliminate the rolling shutter. I already have all the accessories for other cameras (battery, Atomos, voice recorder, etc., I just need to buy only the cage). Do you think it's worth buying it for?

Hey West! Good question :) I checked a clip that's 23 minutes long, and it's 44,5 GB! Hope it helped

Do you run your external recorder into you camera when recording interviews etc? Or always record directly to the external audio recorder and sync the audio in post?
I sync my audio in post actually. I've tried putting the external recorder with a 3.5mm jack, but there's still static noise in the footage unfortunately

Agreed. I've had my s6 for 2 and a half year and still love it. Always looks better than my mirorless fullframe. There is just something about the zcam footage...
The only big drawback with this cam is audio as you mention. I usually run a sounddevices mix pre3 but I wish I sometimes wouldn't have to. Hopefully they can improve that site for the next gen e3 cams
