You're right, Cuppycakedelight; I grew up hearing Spanish, but the way so many folks on this show handle pronunciation, I could barely make any sense of it and accidentally misspelled it. Thank you for reminding me.
an error in this episode. Belgian pistols were used alot in the 19th century but belgium was only formed in 1830. The spaniards were kicked out in 1820 so they could have never bought belgian weapons
If I am not mistaken, the show takes place at the dawn of the Mexican Revolution (1810) in Los Angeles, Colonial California. You're correct, Belgium wasn't a country at the time, though it was a recognized province occupied by various countries and empires.
@nemaru I think I read somewhere that Batman was inspired by Zorro, and that the movie Bruce Wayne was watching right before his parents were murdered was either the Douglas Fairbanks rendition from 1920, or the 1940 remake.
You guys hear the passcode the Magistrado and his men are using to get into the meeting in the doctor's office? "I have a prescription from Dr. Aguilar!" (Or at least, it sounded like "Aguilar" to me - it could have been "Avilar," I'm not sure, but "Aguilar" makes more sense to me.) "Aguilar" is the Spanish word for "Eagle," which makes me to wonder - is the good doctor an agent of the Eagle as well? I think so - it'd be pretty hard for the Magistrado to get hold of poison without his help!
What was it called before that? Or was it a part of another country? My Western Civ is a couple decades past, and I don't think it told me much about Belgium anyway.
stupid dog! and indeed zorro is pretty sneaky :P How funny, i mean, i saw him clearly sitting when the magistrado walked away. By the way, is it possible that i read this episode once in a book?
awww, Deigo shaking his fist at the dog is the funniest thing ever!

Aww, poor Bernardo, he should have gotten a girlfriend, he's kind of adorable. :P
Dr Acula?
Oh yeah, nothing suspicious about that name...
Diego, you sneaky little... fox!
He was inspired by many character--Zorro included
Dude...I think it was...I want that puppy. XD

In the opening episode, it stated it was 1820. Though in the "third" season, when Walt Disney introduced an episode, he gave the year as 1800.
There's always smuggling.

It was the 1940 remake, if I do remember.
@dibbymycat he and Batman probably exchange notes ;P

It’s doctor Águila, not Aguilar. it’s “ah-gee-lah”
How cliche! The blind man isn't really a blind man!

@dibbymycat: Heroes in movies always do mpossible things. But the point of such shows iis not to be realistic ;)
Was that Zorro making the cat noises?
He is a man of many skills.
@@sirensbane17 😂
Yes it was him
LOL! :P
??
spain lost califor,ia in 1820 but belgium was only founded in 1830,so it's impossible
great why not show it on tv
and just because Zorro came first he can't exchange notes with Batman because?
