  • For Part 3 of the North Downs Way I was joined by a subscriber and fellow UA-camr called Gary from GERfusion Outdoor Adventure Seeker. This section was only 10 miles from Westhumble to Merstham, but featured some seriously steep climbs up Box Hill and Colley Hill. We wild camped on the edge of Reigate Hill near the Inglis Memorial on Colley Hill before finishing the section off in the morning. Lots of history on this section in the form of Reigate Fort amongst others.

    Great walk. Video's are great. Like how you inform us about the history of the areas you walk /visit.
    Also good idea to walk it in sections . Save you talking 1 or 2 weeks from your annual holidays

    That looked like a fun trip. Gary might have better legs, but Mark’s been certified saved a brothers life up a hill! That looks just so wrong as I type it lol. ✌️

    There are certain foods I won't eat and if I find them in a meal I will eat the rest but not that... yet when it comes to booze i'm like "oh my god this is revolting... best drink it all so I can go on to another drink" rather than just leaving it lol... you reminded me of that with that IPA "i'll just have another sip though" lmao

    Another great video in my neck of the woods. You find out how fit you are on that section of the NDW. I've camped there in the past and views are amazing. If you'd gone along the mole river a short distance from the stepping stones you'd have come across Dragons teeth left over from the war. The grave you came across is Quick's grave. A famous greyhound from the thirties I think. I look forward to the next part. ATB Brian.

    No idea how they work out the litre sizing...If anyone does let me know please.

    • @TOM_OUTDOORS
      @TOM_OUTDOORS  4 роки тому +1

      I think they fill the rucksack with loads of mini polystyrene balls and that determines the litrage.

      i bought 3 of em on the cheap. used em all now i think. they werent bad but some things coulda been better. i've now got 2 huge 24 hour Arctic weather Swedish army rat packs to do. they look fab. you didnt see me after the climb up Colley Hill, that was worse. something i need to add into my gym training is more cardio and hillclimbing cos that nearly finished me. any word from Aldis yet? cheers pal.
