Good to see they held up well, I too ordered a cush drive rear wheel after watching Keith's video about them. One thing the supplier didn't have was replacement cush blocks and they couldn't tell me what they were the same as, they look to me very much like KTM cush block used in most of there cush drives wheels (ktm690,790,890 ect ect). I'm planning to order one of the KTM blocks to see if it's compatible with the KKE cush drive, do you have any info on which blocks work?
U know that's a great point ,I will take that up with kke. But besides that I don't think you will ever wear out those rubber blocks 🤔, probably wear the motor out first .
@@bigals.ktms.9937 yes true but it would be good to know what to replace them with if they did eventually wear out, the DR650 guys do seem to replace theirs from time to time although they do a lot of k's. I'll order one of those KTM blocks and see if it fits, I'll try and remember to report back on how it goes here.
@@bigals.ktms.9937 It turned up and it fits no worries, the KTM block is a bit nicer finish but they are essentially the same size and shape. I cant write the part number because UA-cam seems to think its a phone number and auto deletes it but it's the same cush drive block used in the KTM 690,790,890 and a heap of other stuff, I just ordered it through my local KTM dealership, took about 3 days and cost about ten bucks per block so around sixty for a set.
The best price was from ebay 👌 and got a great discount, now the ones I got have brass nipples that are plated and obviously stainless spokes. Hope this helps
Short and sweet, I like it! Great review, thanks.
Thanks Keith, and thank for putting the idea off these wheels in my head , regard allen
