- A mosque, a masjid (Arabic for a place of worship) is a place where Muslims pray and worship. Friday and holiday prayers are held in mosques. The first mosque was built by Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in Medina. Mosques were built first in cities, then in villages and neighborhoods. The network of mosques on the side facing Mecca (qibla) has an altar, a pool in the courtyard, and one or more minarets.

In Morocco we have in a normal city, about 7/8 mosques, that are pretty good. Not very big, but not small. The most important is to worship Allah, I will remember you that ar-Rasul Muhammad SAWS was praying in the first mosque which isn't rich and big. And the place isn't important, but faith does. So keep it up and love from Morocco, my siblings in Islam
