- The following is a list of the largest mosques in the world by country listing only the largest mosques in each country. The list including only completed mosques. total of 25 countries featured in this list.
All measurements are defined and recognized by the world. This list lists mosques all over the world that can accommodate at least 10,000 worshipers. Some mosques provide information on the capacity of worshipers it can accommodate in different prayer spaces, such as prayer hall, courtyard known as sahn, and portico. For these mosques, indicated capacity is a sum of all the available prayer spaces.

i have been to Pakistan and Malaysia i have seen both Faisal mosque and Sultan Salah mosque one of the most peaceful places especially the Faisal mosque it is surrounded by those beautiful marrgala hills at first i thought non Muslims are not allowed inside but it was open to everyone i will visit there someday again. Decoration is superficial
As a muslims we don't wish for the mosque to be heavily decorated or lavishly decorated because it's a house of worship we want to be able to focus on prayer rather than the decoration of the mosque because it can be distracting .. so you see alot of mosque are humble it is intentional .. alot of Muslim schoolers made it a necessity for a mosque not to be heavily decorated .. it doesn't matter what you think of the decoration because it's not meant to be like a museum .. your welcome to visit but not welcome to criticize it ..
