I think it’s funny that if the opponent gets Galactus down turn 5, you basically lose turn 6 100%…… & they have a “can’t retreat after turn 5” location this season 💀
So you know exactly which location they want to Galactus. Get the priority, Cosmo/debris/goblin/play more than 7 power than their Galactus turn 5 and force them to give the 8 cubes to you.
I spent 4 caches to get him. Not the best usage of my caches but not gonna lie. When he is played and you have priority, I think he’s the most dominant card in the game.
I had him on the first! :D. I think I deserved it, I had to spend 4 caches to get Thanos and 4 to get X23, and finally, some luck xd, and now I have 3 spotlights instead of 0
Loki should be maybe 1 power and not be able to double reduce card values with quinjet. There needs to be a risk / reward to playing cards and right now he has no risk as a 3 for 5
Got him on my first cache last night and I have been going CRAZY with Alioth, galactus strategies are awesome. Thanos ongoing decks LOVE this card, win a lane with prof x on 4, play Dino on 5, and then Alioth that Dino lane. It’s SO strong
Seems like a great card if you're the one using it, but kind of toxic and unfair since it's a catchall that kills whether it had priority or not. I don't mind strong cards, but not a huge fan of super powerful cards with little to no counters to them.
Yeah, it really sucks about Aaron Rodgers.. I'm not even a Jets fan but I was so hyped! It may be because I do have Garrett Wilson on my dynasty team 😅😢 he would have gone nuclear!
As of right now he's unbeatable if you manage to Galactus early because, Galactus will always have prio, and Alioth will remove facedown cards, there's absolutely no counter play to that, you have to predict/counter their Galactus because if they manage to put him down it's basically game over.
Ideas for new cards. 1/1 armor only protects the next card played. 2/2 absorbing man copies the last on- reveal played by anyone. 4/4 Cosmo on reveal only affects opponents cards. The cards would be new characters not a redo. Peace! \o/

Oh god, time to avoid Reddit and every other forum about the game because you know every other post is going to be someone complaining about this deck and calling for Alioths nerf asap. Any new card that supports Galactus is instantly public enemy #1 in the game. I watched Alex play a similar, if not the same, Galactus/Alioth ramp deck last night and yeah a lot of phones and screens aren't going to survive this week as people mald over being locked out by Alioth. Personally in trying to cook something up using Kang but i still feel the ramp version will be Alioths best home (at least until someone thinks up some crazy out of the box deck utilizing him or new cards that work well with him are added to the game down the line)

Was my first conquest of the season and won the other matches with no problem. Also that deck let me go 95-100 with no loss.
at 12.30 when Cozy didn't Doom into Kamar-Taj, I was thinking, that was the perfect play!, but Odin right was definitely a 'for the content' play! I love it!
This was exactly what was said they didn't want to happen with the Spider-Man Galactus combo so it's very disappointing for me to see them release Alioth the way he is now. It's not like this wasn't expected or they didn't play test it. This just seems like SD releasing a broken af card to make it where you have to have it and when enough players have paid for it they balance the card since this is not what they wanted for the game. I mean, not like it has happened before Galactus Spiderman so how could they have predicted it.
I want this card but card feels like x23 - so hyped but ultimately so niche and win more. Don’t know if I grab this or wait for the more generalist cards later this season and next.

I wouldn’t use the term niche per say, they’re archetype enhancement cards if you don’t enjoy those style of decks you won’t rlly enjoy the new card. And if you’d rather wait for other cards then do it, personally I get nearly all new cards

I think galactus is the fotm but not really that good. The games you win with galactus you really have to ask : would I have won without alioth anyways? And I think a lot of the time the answer is going to be yes. Where he turns things on it’s head is a situation where you’ve locked a lane thru scamming prof x (thanos / wave ramp) or are very far ahead in one lane and have priority and can guarantee the win in different lane.

High power tempo decks are the best in my opinion for him. Lots of early power and priority with some good syringes available with cards like silk, spider man, miles, daken, silver samurai and stature

Can't say Aaron Rodgers is one of my favorite people, particularly since my team has been at odds with Green Bay forever, but the injury sucks. You don't want to see anyone go down that way.
I was at the same point… I went ahead and did it. Needed Snowguard as well after its buff so it was honestly the best set for me for a couple of week. Of course I got the Hit Monkey & 1000 tokens for the first 2 pulls tho. (I have use roughly 11 spotlight caches. 2 during Jean, 1 during the High Evo week, 4 during X-23 and 4 this week and let me tell you.. my first pull EVERY time I open them is the variant or the card I already have)
Wasnt going to get him because No Galactus. Opened 1 cache because I have none of the spotlights and didnt mind getting 1 new card...pulled Galactus, 3 caches later (of course) pulled Alioth. This combination slaps but bad for getting cubes. Instant retreats every time 😅
Played a galactus/lockdown alioth list with like prof x and Odin to double hit with alioth. Felt like so many options and I got to dust so many cards. I dubbed it "Space Dust". I enjoy the card. I agree with Sir Cozy. Good card, scary, but not really broken id say.
I got lucky on my Spotlight cache got him firs try. I played the deck Alex posted for about 10 games - very fun to mess around with only managed the Galactus combo twice, both times retreats for 2 cubes - guess people know its coming. I wonder if it wouldn't be better without Galactus? All my 8 cube wins were with Alioth final turn without Galactus.
I played 3 Games and won 3 in a Row with Alioth Eater Deck but it’s going to be a problem when Mobius comes out good thing you have Electro in this Deck which will help a lot
How many times was Galactus being successfully played and then not winning? Less than 10-20% I’m sure. I hope we see another use for such a cool card other than just a Galactus pet. Love the Odin interaction but that list still runs Galactus.
Thank you so much Cozy! I was on the hunt for a good Lockdown deck for Alioth in particular, and I was initially running something similar to the Doom and Wave version. I'll be honest, though, I think I prefer the Abomination version that you made. I never even thought about fitting Abomination in! Edit: Finally made it to infinite using the Abomination version of the Alioth lockdown deck. I ended up subbing Sunspot for Nebula. I would highly recommend that deck, it did amazingly for me.
I literally went against someone who used Cozy 'Purple Cloud Lockdown'. I was playing Shuri Sauron deck. T4, played Shuri, opponent skipped and ramped Sunspot and Nebula. T5, played Vision on Shuri lane, opponent played Pro X on nebula and Sunspot lane. Opponent won left lane but I won mid for sure. T6, opponent reveal last so I had a hunch it's going to be Alioth. T6 I played Armor and Thypoid Mary and Alioth appeared. And I Won 4 cubes. Thank goodness I took that chance with Armor.
I mean, its just like that Zabu Spiderman Absman meta. Its one sided and gets you MAYBE 2 cubes at most against smart players. Its a shit, polarizing, non interactive card. Why bother having a turn 6 if he destroys EVERYTHING played. Its ridiculous really.
Got Alioth in my first cache this week and slotted him into my DeathKnull deck and love him. Getting Knull out on 5 with X-23 and Alioth on 6 is a fun and cruel combo
THANK YOU! At least someone else isn’t blind to the fact that this game is purposefully making it more difficult to win without certain cards forcing you to buy them with gold. Galactia is a no skill based card and takes no brainpower to play. High Evo is a problem but can be worked around sometimes… don’t expect to win though chances are low. I play a lockdown deck since it gives me a fighting chance against players except now they’ll just play Alioth and ruined my turn 6 play. Great job! Read the title and understand this is so toxic for a game you want people to enjoy!
Alipth didn't even matter in these games... Its literally just Galactus. Its always fucking Galactus! No different than the Galactus - Spider-Man. Or just Galactus into Knull and Death. Until Galactus gets a rework its never going to feel good to play against.

Stopped playing Snap 9 months ago because of galactus and prevalence of bad locations. They fixed locations and seemingly nerfed galactus, returned on a PC launch. And now that fucking galactus is back. I'm gonna leave for good this time.
Alioth by himself cn be a useful, great card. Alioth with Galactus is in the Pantheon of Horrible Marvel Snap Combos. It belongs next to Leech Leader and Galactus/Spider-Man. Alioth is definite a card that you love to have, hate to play against.

I just won with Turn 4 Iron Lad copies Daredevil, Turn 5 Alioth, Turn 6 Zola. Zola/Alioth took out a Knull and a Death in different lanes. Felt dirty lol.

Ok I had to comment. This is literally there're cheesiest deck I've ever used maybe even more cheese then thanos when it first came out and was untouchable. I literally climed to infinite from 80 in a couple hours. I am calling it now they are gonna nerf alioth. And that's no surprise but I'm even gonna call what the nerf is gonna be. " Only Destroy the last card played here" instead of all of them.

Everyone is playing it with Galactus but I feel like 9 of 10 times if your Galactus triggers, you didn't really need Alioth to win at that point.

THANK YOU! At least someone else isn’t blind to the fact that this game is purposefully making it more difficult to win without certain cards forcing you to buy them with gold. Galactia is a no skill based card and takes no brainpower to play. High Evo is a problem but can be worked around sometimes… don’t expect to win though chances are low. I play a lockdown deck since it gives me a fighting chance against players except now they’ll just play Alioth and ruined my turn 6 play. Great job! Read the title and understand this is so toxic for a game you want people to enjoy!
Alipth didn't even matter in these games... Its literally just Galactus. Its always fucking Galactus! No different than the Galactus - Spider-Man. Or just Galactus into Knull and Death. Until Galactus gets a rework its never going to feel good to play against.

Stopped playing Snap 9 months ago because of galactus and prevalence of bad locations. They fixed locations and seemingly nerfed galactus, returned on a PC launch.
And now that fucking galactus is back. I'm gonna leave for good this time.
Alioth by himself cn be a useful, great card. Alioth with Galactus is in the Pantheon of Horrible Marvel Snap Combos. It belongs next to Leech Leader and Galactus/Spider-Man. Alioth is definite a card that you love to have, hate to play against.

I just won with Turn 4 Iron Lad copies Daredevil, Turn 5 Alioth, Turn 6 Zola. Zola/Alioth took out a Knull and a Death in different lanes. Felt dirty lol.

Having a lot of fun with the card so far. Great counter on turn 6 or 7 and works great with Knull.
Ok I had to comment. This is literally there're cheesiest deck I've ever used maybe even more cheese then thanos when it first came out and was untouchable. I literally climed to infinite from 80 in a couple hours. I am calling it now they are gonna nerf alioth. And that's no surprise but I'm even gonna call what the nerf is gonna be. " Only Destroy the last card played here" instead of all of them.
