Walksnail Moonlight, 4K camera for digital FPV

Walksnail digital HD FPV system has a new camera: the Moonlight. Comparing to the previous Walksnail cameras it has a couple of important changes. First of all, it records in 4K even up to 60FPS. Plus, you are not limited to internal flash memory. The Moonlight has an SD card slot! Let’s see how it works and what about image quality!
And while we are here, let’s spend a moment talking about the problem of jello. Turns out Moonlight is quite sensitive to jello. Especially, if you install the camera on a shock absorbing, rubber, TPU or just soft mounts. What you might think help to fight jello, might induce it instead. It’s advices not to use any soft mounts for the Moonlight camera and install it tightly directly to the frame. I did that and the jello was greatly reduced!

Absolutely. I’ve got four planes and a whoop all fitted with Walksnail which financially wouldn’t have been an option if there was only DJI on the market.
Does the ND filter fit on the lense of the previous Pro camera?
I think an option for like a pass thru separate DVR for like a wing would be great. A vtol needs a fan 30*30*7mm at least to keep a v2-vtx cool @70f in hover mode.
How do you know what FW is on the moonlight ? I did the update process. But my goggle x still says FW does not match

Z tym kablem to już chyba nie jest tak mówisz. W nowym sofcie jest plik który tworzysz na karcie SD "independ_upgrade.txt" i chyba (nie sprawdzałem) jak wrzucisz plik upgrade na tą kartę do moonlight zrobi ten upgrade po restarcie - możesz sprawdzić czy tak to działa ? Chyba że się mylę to proszę o wyjaśnienie ;)
Może cos się zmieniło ostatnio. Jak nagrywałem materiał podłączenie kabla było konieczne aby zrobić flash

Why do you need to hear the sound of your motors makes no sense. If you want sound strap you a recorder on the drone to hear your motors. The sound of your motors go away when you add your own music to your video DUH!! So heading your motors is pointless
That's well, subjective I suppose. Like for me sound is not needed at all
@@LehtusBphree2flyFPV haha dude the world must be so small for you. Some people like to hear their motors so they know what they’re doing. It gives a sense of connection with your craft. And who said anything about a drone or recording video and adding music. Everyone trying to be a UA-cam star these days. Put your keyboard down

Not everyone likes to hear the sound of motor and they tend to be noisy. Better fill it with beautiful musical sounds.
is Walksnail Moonlight compatible with dji goggles ?
No, unlike analog, you need to buy a compatible digital VTX for your goggles, for DJI you can get O3 Air Unit, Caddx Vista, Run CAM Wasp, or DJI Air Unit
No, only Walksnail Goggles, Walksnail Goggles X and Walksnail VRX
But there is a huge problem with frame compatibility, especialy with cinewhoops. It is simply bigger than DJI O3
at the 8:40 mark;

for this exeption ill take my build, and tools to the yard, ill use the grill since it has a safety cover, should the fire get out of control.. XD i think that solves the problem
being outside also takes care of the stink

Go-pro should release these type of 4k-8k vtx camera ....
GoPro will not do it, they have no business with FPV

why wont someone break down a dji drone that already has a 4k system in it and use that backward enginer it
For a few reasons:
1 - it's based on custom ASIC not components taken from the shelf and publicly available
2 - it's possible but extermely expensive
3 - it's cheaper to do it from scratch
4 - there is a thing called intelectual property and patents

Subtitles stay ;) Some people might not like them, but they are great at keeping above average viewer retention. Analytics don't lie, people watch longer with subtitles
